I love this app- it keeps me entertained for hours. But its only getting 3 stars do to the recent issues I've been having. Such as the AI sending half messages that cut off half way. And there is room for improvement such as the characters being able to give more then just a short paragraph and being able to remember earlier things said. It would help with immersion.

Great app! Love the variation and character accuracy. However, the repetitiveness and the lack of memory can be disappointing, along with the ai always taking over my character. Also, villains need to be more....bad. it's hard to do an action role play when the bad guys are lame. I also wish you could save a chat and still actively use it or at least make a second chat using the same ai character. Also, maybe make a search in chat button or a go to top of conversation button

All in all I love the characters and the experience there is just one detail that kinda is annoying, it's definitely a glitch but if I'm in a chat with a character and leave and go back in while it's idle on my phone the background swaps to light mode and it's kinda annoying, it's not deserving to be a lesser review. Overall it's amazing, I love how you can choose to get coins and use refreshes or try to have the ai understand what you meant by something.

I really like the app. Overall, it's been a phenomenal experience. the characters memory is solid for the most part, though occasionally I would have given this 5 stars, I never cared for the fact that you can only view so many of your chats, any extras you have open can get buried behind a wall unless you delete some other ones. also, a recent update took away the ability to translate messages in other languages, and now the app has a bunch of ads, when it used to have absolutely none at all

Its a great app, can keep me entertained for a good amount of time, but there are things that require improvement. Such as the AI's memory. I can tell them something, and they completely forget it after about 6 messages. Secondly, they are always trying to take over my own character, which can be very annoying. Thirdly, I really like the memory input, where I can describe my character, but the limitation is quite frankly disappointing. At the very least double the memory feature limitation.

i am so disappointed. it started out one of my favorite apps, but for the past few months every single update has made it worse and worse to the point where it's unusable. my final straw was today when they added a nsfw filter. every single message i send gets blocked for being "inappropriate" when i'm sending the most basic messages. ads, display changes that make it more difficult to use, and changes to the ai itself that make replies super repetitive, are why i will never use this app again.

You get unlimited chatting without paying - good. There's a large and diverse selection of characters. The AIs mostly stay true to character, and you don't have to carry the conversation if you don't want to. Ads are also minimal. But I can only give it 3 stars because the AI's memory is very bad, it forgets very basic things in as little as three messages. I told it my name once - it forgot 5 messages later. It forgets where it is, what you're doing, etc. This breaks immersion very quickly.

The AI's are fun to play with. They are very interactive and semi-realistic. However, they have the memory of a goldfish. I've found that during conversations, they forget what happened or was said no more than 10 messages ago.. which isn't a lot. It's very annoying to have to constantly redo moments because they forgot it happened in the first place.

I love the AI chat and responses, but I've noticed some issues with the application and intelligence. The main issue being the inconsistency in chat with it seeming like the A.I. forgot what the storyline was. If you perfectly describe a house, room, clothes, relationship, and so forth, it will forget most of it. That's more of AI problems than a single developer, though. The other issue is purchasing a subscription, but the app not restoring it if reinstalled. Plus, losing my chats.

overall it's very good. the ai loses track of the story and forgets details frequently, like your current location, or what plans you have for the day, but it's not unmanageable. you need a "remember this" option for those important dialogs, and more space in the memories. my other issue is that characters from a specific world (final fantasy 7 for example) should have some idea how the world works (why do I have to explain that materia let's you use magic so many times).

I've used several AI apps and I think this is best without a doubt. There are so many different characters and role playing chats you can have. A super useful feature is being able to input your name, gender, and memory for the AI. 90% of the time it remembers the memories and your gender. You can edit the replies of the chat if they mess up certain things. It's not perfect but the AI remembers your conversations for quite a while. You can always add a (reminder-) to stay in the roleplay.

I love the "no filter" thing. But the character does tend to repeat themselves. I have to go back and delete most of the repeated messages and start from there if I want to fix it. That's just how smart the AI is tho so it's understandable. Also, the whole "edit" thing where you can edit the characters response doesn't really work. It still tries to follow the pre-laid storyline. I'll give 5 stars if/when these gets fixed.

It does not have a lot of the same restrictions that other chat AI apps have, however, the quality is also lower. The bots also forget the story at times and in the middle of the original plot/conversation. The inserts that they add aren't relevant at all, which ruins the immersion. If you can get past that there's a lot to do and you can create your own.

It started out as an amazing app and I loved the no filter. It was a lot of fun experimenting how much the AI could take, and how much it could understand human emotions. Now with the new update, I can't even send a basic message without it getting blocked for being "inappropriate". It's incredibly annoying and I might just stop using the app. The no filter was so much better, and I hate this app now.

Poly.AI is a really fun app where the possibility seems endless. I just started playing, so I haven't run into any problems yet. It does take in-game coins to get inspiration about where to take the story or to change a characters answer, but you do have the option to buy more coins. All and all the app has a wide variety of subject matter.

I would give a 5 star review if it were less like Talkie. Talkie, the top line disappears after you add on, and now Poly.Ai is doing the same. It's slightly frustrating when I can't see what I typed previously, and when I go to fix my grammar, the text I was previously on disappears. I like that listening to the text is free now, and there is no filter. I'm able to use language like you would when talking with a buddy and not get told it's too suggestive. I just wish the text would go back.

not a bad app, the only problems I have is i want the character creation to go back to the old version since the UI was easy to use, and now with character chatting, the icons are kind of hidden and the profile picture on character chatting is unavailable, but most of the problems are with character creation and im seeing that even well known creators are having problems with the new character creation system, so I would rather if it would go back to the original, or make the UI easier to use.

I don't remember there ever being so many ads or a filter... It'd be nice if you would remove at least the filter and keep poly ai the way it is. This isn't very convenient to those looking for an ai chatbot app that doesn't have a filter, especially if users have been on the app for a while now. And I understand ads are for support, but isn't that what the paid subscriptions are for? The ads should be optional. I'll still use the app, but probably not that much until an update fixes all this.

It's okay, I guess, but the AI gets repetitive to where you can't move forward in the story because you're answering the same question over and over again. It forgets very often where it is and its relationship to you, whether as a couple or even as family. This memory loss seems to happen every couple of messages, which takes away the fun. It also often mixes characters up, even if there's only the character you play and the character it's meant to play. It's not a bad app, just needs tweaking.

An amazing app overall, love the concept of any character you can think of, but the constant changes to the UI is annoying, and the fact it gives ads like every other character you click on now is also annoying, used to be 5 star in my opinion, lowered to 3 because of all the unnecessary changes to the UI and the ads that always happen. Overall, good app, with bad changes. (TLDR: I like the app but lowered the rating because of unneeded changes and a crazy amount of ads.)
