Great app so far. Easy to use. Fast, lightweight, and small. No ads, no subscriptions, no micro transactions, nor anything else obnoxious. But sorting by an integer/real column is alphabetical instead of numeric 😟 Edit: Thanks! Vacuum the db fixed numeric sorting! 5 stars!!!

This has been a 5 star review for many years. As of Aug 2022 I'm changing the review to 2 stars for the sole purpose of constantly losing the data you typed. Scenario if you accidentally tap a wee bit outside the keyboard you can lose everything typed, this applies to the latest version of Android V12. Will reassess as soon as this issue has been resolved. Still this is my favorite app, used several times each day.

(Updated) Such a great app! Unfortunately I need the local import & export so I will have to go find another app now. :-( I'm sure this update is due to the OS but still, won't work for me now. Orig review] This app has become a very valuable resource. It works well, exports to an excel legible format, & most importantly it doesn't delete your notes like Google's Keep does.

I have used this application for around 10 years now, and it is awesome. Simple, effective, very easy on the resources, free with no ads. I have around 20 tables in 4 databases. some of these tables have a few thousand rows, but the reaction time keeps being short. Thanks, Dev, and keep up the excellent work.

PERFECT DATABASE I have been using PortoDB for years now and have shared it with colleagues at work. It works just fine, no annoying ads, utterly free and secure as the data is stored locally. No need of internet connection. But one thing should be fixed ASAP, and that is the ability to print out the data straight from the app and addition of academic results grade generator. If a school teacher can use it to store the students performance, then let him be able to automatically generate results.

Very useful app, although not able to run queries from within the app itself but you can do that externally. I send the database to Dropbox then can query it easily from linux. It doesn't deal with leap year, so 29th February becomes 1st March even if you enter it manually. This only happens in the app, it is saved correctly in the table. I do not wish to complain about this lovely little app though!

Very good app. It will be better and more useful if a bar-code scanner can be added in it's search button.

Provision for a text fild with multiple lines would be more helpful in viewing long texts in the Text field. I would request the developer(s) to kindly look into this issue.

Is there ANYWAY at all I can have hyperlinks be active? I have a field for Google Maps locations, but it is just seen as text to the app. This means one has to cut&paste into Google. (Excellent app, Just what I needed.) Edit: Oh I see. If you long press on the "Field", you can change it's 'type' to "URL". Then, when you long press on that URL, a menu pops up that includes 'Navigate to...' Press that, then Google maps opens.

Started off fine, had a few problems, there appears to be a little querk. It appears that if you make a load of rows first, then add the data after, it won't save properly in the right order .... at least I'm hoping that's the answer to why it wouldn't save ...... other then that, very easy to use, 'does what it says on the tin'. Might be nice if there was a function where you could slide complete rows up or down, other then that, works nicely, worth trying out.

Simple but reliable sqlite database on Android. Use it to record client order transfers that I do as an independant and a cooking recepe db Use Widget to directly access a table. Use search button to find / sort data-records. I do use use a combination of Apps Folder Sync Pro and SyncThing to sync files between all my Android devices + my computer + a data crypted SyncThing instance running in Docker. So all my PortoDB sqlite files are almost instantly available on all my devices.

APR 2024: Lightweight, easy to use database with all the functionality I currently need : home screen shortcut, scroll right past portrait, import csv into table, move/delete columns, sort (ascii) search then delete searched... manipulate as desired, quickly. Subsequent csv import that has new lines containing superset of values (columns previously deleted from dest table) is successful... smart! nice!

After reviewing I am pleasantly surprised, with a few glitches and a short wishlist. The app is simple to use and allows limited database functions. Editing on column types is simple to non-existent - using a column type 'PHONE' allows any characters displayed on a numeric keypad. I could enter "*0#(),;-+/N/" for a phone number. Wishlist: I would like to copy columns, total numeric columns, have a fixed footer row for totals. Which I believe would conform to a simple DB definition.

SO EASY and 100% Reliable!! I cannot say enough great things about the simple and searchable and savable databases this app allows me to easily create, edit and add data to, and pull up for a quick reference in a split second on the fly!! PortoDB remains compact and efficient -- with everything I need -- without any bulk!! THANKS SO MUCH YOU GUYS! :)

super incredible! honestly, it's so easy to use. I wanted to switch from excel because of how hard it is to search my spreadsheet for info. this app imported 2109 lines successfully and now I have it all, can search with ease. copy and pasting rows from one table to the next, needed this feature too, and it's here. I can't believe it!!! Thank you!!!!

I have been using this since shortly after it was introduced as "MyData". It's one of the most versatile, helpful apps I've ever used. (I think the only app I use more is SMS.) I HIGHLY recommend PortoDB if you need a flexible, configurable, easy to use database. This app is simple yet very powerful and the developer is great. Update: Now on a Pixel 6 with Android 12. Still zero problems and loving it.

This is a great app if you like to maintain lists of any kind. It's like having a mini relational database on your phone. So far I haven't come across any problems that I couldn't get around. I now keep my todo list in the app and the multi level sorting allows me to see the list just the way I like it. I also create custom databases to gather data about various activities like commute times per route, or mass transit schedule compliance. Thank you!

I needed a portable database to house my postcard collection data, and since I am losing my access to MS Office and Access, I wanted something simple, and didn't relish the idea of downgrading to a spreadsheet. My 2,200 item table imported flawlessly and the searching is perfect. I have no need for a custom data entry form, but I often need to filter and sort my data and this app is what I was looking for. Extra points for intuitive use.
