too be honest, and I hate to do this to an app, but it makes the claim that it's the "best" camera app for Android, in my opinion....totally accurate. this app enables my hardware to do what it's actually capable of, which is really cool for my budget phone. I'm not a pro but pro shot sure does make me look like I took some classes...worth every cent. thanks man.

It may be that my phone is too old, being a pixel 3A. But the app only loads to a blank screen. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same thing. It's a shame too because I heard nothing but good things about this program. Maybe when I upgrade. I can try again.

Manual mode crashes on Pixel 7. A warning message on camera app says only Google can fix the problem. But on the stellar HD Camera by risingcabbage, their feature rich manual mode works just fine. Maybe the devs of this app should consult with the devs of risingcabbage to find out how they got their app to work with Pixel devices.

Thanks for the evaluator. But I don't understand why 1/3s is the max exposure time that is possible on my Nokia 8 Sirocco. With the native camera app I can choose up to 4s! I intended to use the app for time lapse in the night, so unfortunately not suitable for me.

VERY helpful to determine if the ProShot camera application would be worth the price. I wish other developers would do this sort of thing; much better than a 'lite' version.

told me about 3 of 4 rear cameras, ofc it was the big one (48MP) that didn't show up. I wanted to know if this app could manually increase the exposure time (shutter speed) beyond the factory limit of 0.2 seconds as it looks pretty good. will have to hold off on purchase.

Shows all the features that my phone supports that should work in ProShot unfortunately none of them work in ProShot. It only took the developer 1 year to reply (my post was in 6/21). YES I was having a problem with your app IT DOESN’T WORK. I've since removed it and installed an app that does work. Don't waste your time with this one.

It's very well designed and capable app unfortunately on my Xperia 1 III the app is not designed to handle the 21:9 aspect ratio of the device also it doesn't seem to offer any options that doesn't exist on the Xperia main camera app but I think it's a solid option for devices with basic functionality in their camera apps because this covers all the basic and more in term of advance photography options 👍👍

Mainly looking at the video features, the interface looks really good and professional. The video lacks anamorphic lens desqueeze feature.

I was trying to test video recorder with a USB Microphone but this version does not allow to record videos. Hence I cannot evaluate if the cost is worth it to replace Pixel Camera that has an issue related to audio quality with USB microphones.

If I can't take a photo how can I compare to the native app? Please change, perhaps set a limit of 10 shots, then I can see if this offers more than the default app does......it looks like it does but without a photo on screen I cant actually tell :-(

You can't even take one pic with the app to actually evaluate its functionality. I wanted to take a pic and compare it to the results of other camera apps, but you can't do that without buying the pro version for $7. The features seem good, but I guess I'll never know for sure.

Cool concept to help in the decision to buy the camera app or not. Personally, I'm not convinced. Actually, I'd like a camera that puts pictures directly into its own album, where editing (and other features associated with editing) can be done. One app instead of 4 different ones.

Great tool to test whether the full app is suitable for your camera or not. I have very good autofocus and amazing image stabilisation on my phone and wanted to preserve that... and the evaluator confirmed categorically that this app would. Great product with first class customer support.

A good way to try if the app allows you to use this or that feature of your device. Sadly, my phone (Honor Magic4 pro) irritatingly insists in asking every five seconds if you want to "close the app or wait" , because for some reason it thinks that the app isn't responding when is clearly not the case.

Proshot has a single problem to solve for me - Pixel doesn't have a manual focus and I regularly want to take photos through aircraft windows which is very hit and miss. The Proshot Evaluator seems to tell me that Proshot will be fully compatible; it's hard to trust it, though, when the actual experience was multiple crashes. It also appears that Proshot has zero evaluation / refund window, so Evaluator is, for me, persuasive in not buying the app. Update: Actual app - Proshot - is great!

The evaluator was very buggy, kept freezing or crashing. The Custom 2 setting was also off the screen. It's a shame, because it would have been interesting to play around with it for a bit. Update: I simply uninstalled it. I haven't the time to spend long with buggy software. I may try it again in a year or two, see if it's any better then.

PROS: - gives various information about your hardware - one of the best pro camera UIs i've tested. easy controls. CONS: (for the trial app) - (photo) i can't test "shutter-to-capture" lag because the app doesn't let you press the shutter. it's a deal breaker for me because i'm looking for a low lag app for quick capture (street and candid photography) CONS: - (video) it's not possible to have auto ISO and a fixed shutter speed. it is a no go for me the app is pretty good though! give it a try

Really Disappointed! I had used this before it became a paid app and ABSOLUTELY loved it as I used it on my old iPhone and My current Android. From a functionality standpoint the version I had was stellar. Unfortunately this version does not play well with 8.1 as it crashes constantly. Really sad to uninstall such a great app (was going to purchase if it was as good as it used to be.)
