As a whole the storage is good. But the price is way too high and I liked it better when my payments weren't due on the first along with everything else in my life. Will be downsizing and closing my account. Also don't like being asked to pay for a storage I no longer have...went from a larger to a smaller one and still being asked for payment on the large one smdh!

Don't get me wrong. the place is decent but if you're looking for a place that is professionally managed by well trained, well dress clean. people don't go here. I mean the second day after moving in arguing it was broken into so it's far from safe. when asked the management about the situation they just didn't respond. I'd say go on down the road lockaway uses Bluetooth tech for all of their units, it's locked. it's through your phone. no problems. no. snarky cut locks.

This app is a bit buggy. It's used exclusively for accessing the facility instead of entering the access code on the keypad at the gate. But the app is slow to the point that it's much quicker to use the keypad. The app spends a lot of time displaying the spinning wheel - minutes - and one time told me that I was locked out and needed to contact the manager. She found no reason for the message. She said the app is created by a different entity. I'd say skip the app and it's associated Spyware.

The app won't open and I've had nothing but problems with my unit. They put their own lock on without contacting me and charged alot more for several months when I could've just come out and put my lock on correctly. I just thought the rent had increased. Then when I went to my unit and couldn't get in, I called the phone # in the app 4 different times and let it ring over 14 times and mo one answered. After I left, I was able to find a toll-free # and the guy gave me the wrong combination and t

The deals & discounts feature is straight trash. It'll show up on the home screen, but in order to open the page, you must click on the 3 bars on the top right, then click on deals & discounts there, in which you get redirected back to the home page to where the deals & discounts button is. Once you click on that, you are then redirected off the app & to the website. Oh, did I forget to mention that every time you redeem a discount, you'll get an error message, saying, "Something went wrong"?

For the most part this app is great. The remote control option for your gate access goes haywire and doesn't work if you have 2 units in the same storage address as the original Bluetooth code won't stop transmitting when the newer code is needed to open doors. It is just an inconvenience to open the car window and punch in the code for someone with pretty rough shoulder issues. Otherwise, perfect app.

The concept of entering the storage facility remotely through the app is a good one, if it worked. At my particular location it literally NEVER works. I can hold my phone 1 in from the sensor and it still tells me I'm too far away. Also, I have two storage units rented and wish to pay for each unit with a different credit card. both methods of payment are entered in the app and yet without fail, each month, both units are charged to only one card. another idea that doesn't work in this app.

This app is complete garbage. The app constantly kicks me out after every use, and I have to login again. Of course it's an obscure password that I don't remember, so I have to reset it. But then, when I have to enter the verification number texted to me, it's kicks me off of the verification page back to the login screen, making it impossible to reset my password. Extremely frustrating as there's never anyone in the office to actually help me access the unit I pay a good amount of money to use.

I like the app. Kudos to the programmer /creator. I don't care for public storage so much anymore. If you ever have an issue with being late, they aren't willing to work with you. But my main issue is with how they start your monthly rate off at a great amount. I've had a unit for 2 years with them and I started out paying $90 which was a promotion. After the promotion it went up to $191 which was fine but maybe 3 months after that my rent increased, then again, & again. Now it's $341.

It is an impossible magic trick to get anyone to pick up the phone, and I have never ever had a return call out of the countless voicemails I have left - some were indicated as urgent! Regarding the app, the function to automatically open gates and doors rarely works, and yes, its requirements are met. And, when you log out, it doesn't close the app. In fact, you can't close the app (get it off your display) unless you force stop it.

App is only good for maintaining payment accounts. Other than that the wireless/hands free feature to open the gate is unreliable on both sides. Apparently it's not reliably recorded on Public Storage's systems, so you can expect a call from them telling you that you have to properly exit the facility. Don't bother with it, just use the keypad. Annoying to staff, and annoying to me. Garbage!!

Can never get in app to pay my bill. Worst EVER! So frustrating. They don't take pmts over the phone yet they can't wait to tack on that $30 late fee. A few more days they add the lien fee of $60. So now you get to pay the extra $90 while they continue to threaten to auction everything you own. My rental charge has gone from $1 (first month promotional charge) to $100 to $145 to now $175. in 6 months. What will it be next? Searching desperately for place to move to so I can get the hell OUT!

I love that you can open doors and elevators on the app!! So convenient!! Especially since i have to remember a lot of random numbers for a lot of different things. So its super cool when my anxiety kicks in because there's 8 people behind me waiting to get in and all of a sudden i cant compute what numbers even are and its cold and snowing... its timed like this where the app literally rescues me by being able to operate doors from my phone on the app!! 😫 its also very easy to pay your bill.!

This app continues to go downhill. I have to manually login every single time I open the app now. It won't save my user settings like it used to. There is no way to send feedback through the app. It's just garbage. For how much they keep increasing my monthly payments they should be able to invest into a better app. Their costs have not increased at my facility over the last 5 years but my payments have increased more than double. Public Storage is a garbage company.

Wahahaa! Most recent update broke Bluetooth access on my Samsung Galaxy S9 phone... When Tha App requests permission to use Bluetooth, even though we can select ALLOW, it gets switched to DENIED. Then, looking in the permissions manager for the App, Bluetooth is not even an option to turn on/off. This means we can't open gates, doors, etc. Brilliant!

Currently not working for access. Keeps telling me to turn on my bluetooth. My Bluetooth is on. I am using a Samsung note 9 in case in matters. A screen pops up telling me to turn on my Bluetooth. When i click that, it sends me to app permissions which does not have a Bluetooth setting. Frustrating. Never had this issue before.

App is garbage. It was working fine before the update but now, the Bluetooth access does not work. Will give message saying "looks like your Bluetooth is turned off" even though it is on. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app three times. Each time it asks for the permissions of location and Bluetooth. When I press allow for location it says accepted. But, when I press allow for Bluetooth. It says denied. Do better Public Storage! FIX YOUR APP!!!

I absolutely despise this application. Constantly signs you out even though you set it to remember your login info, password always has to be changed, and some days it doesn't even work at all. Bluetooth functionality stopped working on it all together. I don't even bother with this app anymore and have uninstalled it. I just use the good old fashioned keypad entry now.

The previous version had a very short connection/distance to use Access function. Most times I had to exit the car to hold the phone near the gate sensor to make it work. In the current version using Access I get a message Bluetooth is off (wasn't) and button to turn it on takes me to app info page that has no Bluetooth related options! Avoid till the bugs are fixed!

Junk. The "Access" feature broke with the update (it used to work). Now even when my Bluetooth is turned on and not connected to other devices, I always get a message stating "Looks like your Bluetooth is turned off. You need to turn it on to use this feature." I've enabled all permissions the app asks for, uninstalled, restarted my phone. reinstalled the app, same problem. Frustrating. App is useless to me now.
