Wonderful except for the search function, it can be hard to find stations unless you know the number or exact name. It runs well, works while the screen is off, uses little battery. I mostly use it for baseball games and retro radio shows like horror theater. It sends you notifications but they're usually just recommending stations. It contains very few ads but sometimes the ads exit buttons are bugged out and you have to restart the ap.

****UPDATE I have loved this app for 7 years and have been holding off on the update because there is ALWAYS something that goes wrong. The second i hit the update button i knew there would be issues and there are! Love this app, it has tons of awesome stations! I plug my phone to my Sony speakers and listen to it ALL DAY at work. And it's nothing like regular radio where you hear the same song over and over and over and over again! You hear a variety of great songs all day long.

Works well for me, though the interface is a little unintuitive. I tried a few other radio apps before I found one (this one) which hosted BBC Radio 3. Also hosts the local stations I like, such as KPFA, KFJC, KALW. Biggest downer is that the app takes several seconds to start up. Not sure what they are doing during that initialization, but it's quite disconcerting.

It was fine before the podcast update, the full-screen ads give me a migraine. I try to pause and then an ad instantly pops up and suddenly I'm in the browser app. I'll take fewer ads over podcasts anyday, there's already dozens of other apps for podcasts. Uninstalling as soon as I find a replacement for radio. Edit: I can see there's an ad free version. I would consider purchasing if it were a one-time fee, but I'm not looking to get another subscription that I'll forget to cancel.

This used to work great, but... with recent updates and more crazy as s ads, obviously, that's their motif. I'd pay for it, if offered, if it worked, but at present, it won't even play. Nada! All my other apps work. I've uninstalled it, reinstalled it and end up with the same ole' crapolla. No music, just relentless ads to nowhere and zero music! Could be my phone??? Idunno

Always liked this app, (so two stars instead of one), but between the Temu ads and the Facebook ads, I no longer find it usable. I have to restart my phone when the Facebook ad comes up because it dumps me in Google Play and I can't get back to the player. There are lots of FM players now. They all have ads, but maybe I can find one a little less aggressive.

While adding podcasts is nice I suppose (I listen to very few) the ad serving has been kicked up to overdrive. Screen went dark? Time to show you Facebook ads again & send you back to the beginning. And you can no longer pick your start-up screen. Fwiw, your favorites are now "library" for some unknown reason. I think it's probably time to explore other options

Previously a great app now many of the stations selected say "currently not available" constantly. Hello ! delist them fm app !! Facebook and insurance ads constantly pop up. If I wanted these products wouldn't I already have them? Way tooooooooo many ads. Full screen ads pop up and you can not back out of them, without tapping the X so I close the app. If you like full screen ads this is your app. THANKS FOR THE FULL SCREEN INTERUPTING POP UP ADS !!

When I first got this app,I loved it,I even gave it a good reveiw & 5⭐, but after a few weeks, the ads were constant,then it would just STOP. I'd press play & it wouldn't load. I'd change the stations & the same thing happened. Timed it a few times & for 2hrs had nothing. I found another FM Radio app & after having it for 3 wks, it's great,hardly ANY ads! When u change the channels you're not waiting 5 mins until the ads are over,or having to back out & close app, just to get the channel!

I used to live in a little town that had a college-run alternative radio station, and I've been missing it terribly. Trying to listen online, the music would stop whenever my phone screen went off, so I tried downloading a bunch of radio apps instead, but couldn't even find the station on them - until this one! The station's here, loud and clear, and the app's super easy to use. I'd be more than willing to buy if there was a pay version, just because I'm now overjoyed to be able to listen again!

I use it to listen to public radio, but honestly, considering the data consumption of this app., and without an unlimited data plan, I may just purchase a small fm radio. That said, in many places cellular service is much more reliable than radio reception so audio is clear and signal is rarely lost. Also not very enthusiastic that battery saving mode can not be on while using the app, the result is a loss of battery life at 2-3 X as fast.

This is an excellent app! So much better than iHeartRadio. This app has all kinds of genres of music and talk from radio stations all around the world! Some of the stations have ads while others don't. There's a local station that doesn't come in well on my radio. But through Radio FM, I can get that particular local station. My local market no longer offers any smooth jazz stations. But this app has many,many smooth jazz stations from around the world! I love this app! Keep up the good work!

It works, but other options do it much better. Specifically, it's slow to start the steam, it's slow to reconnect after a network change (and sometimes doesn't reconnect at all), and the annoying reminder to leave 5 stars also interrupts the connection process requiring manual intervention. Not sure why I put up with it for as long as I did, but it's about to be gone.

I've been using the Tune-In app for years,and have never found another app to beat it until now. This app is simply "just better", all around. The adds are not long, and most of the time it just lets me skip them while browsing. Navigation is easy. The layout is clean and smooth. All my channels are clear and I have no buffering. And it doesn't eat up my data space. I'm a loyal user now. Awesome App!!

This app used to be pretty good for listening to radio stations (which is why it's getting 2 stars instead of 1), but lately its ad to music ratio has gotten very high. For example, I use it to listen to music while I exercise. This morning, the last SIX MINUTES of my workout were solid ads. I don't mind the odd ad between every couple of songs, but not for six straight minutes. I'm removing this app and finding something else for my music listening.

A lot of ads. Rather glitchy. I just started using it and I already don't like it. On some phones you get a pre-installed radio app - no wifi or data is needed, at all, to use those pre-installed apps! They are basic & seem to work rather well; especially since your headphones are your antenna! If you have a phone that doesn't have one pre-installed, then, you have to dl it and they always, constantly, require internet access. That's BS! All I want to do is listen to the radio!

The first few days using the app was good, there's a lot of great content available from around the world. Then the ads and pop-ups started increasing in frequency. Had a notification pop up while I wasn't even running it asking "Hey, have you missed me?" Today I started seeing full page ads blocking the interface with no way to clear them, just an "open" button for whatever the link went to. Nope. I un-installed this app after seeing that. Not worth the hassle.

Like other radio apps before this one. These guys are starting to get greedy and add more and more ads with longer run times. Open app, and watch an ad. Select your radio station, watch an ad. Recently, after the ads play it will now open up your market app and ask if you want to install. I finally had to uninstall as there is no lack of other radio apps with less nonsense.

Update at the end: The best app i've got! Thank you I love this app so much that I listen everyday, the station's are so great, the variety is mind-blowing, it's all the music I could ever want. Music is the air I breathe! Thank you again, A happy grateful 74 yr.old fan.🎶 Update: no longer my favorite app, the music keeps cutting out in the middle of the songs. Signed, Very sad

Works great. Wish it wouldn't prompt me to allow notifications EVERY time I open the app (I'm on the fully paid version - I don't want notifications from a radio app). Other than that minor annoyance I'm happy with it. Been a challenge finding apps with all of the radio stations I listen to with Clear Channel messing up everything these days.
