Been playing this game since World 1. So a few years now (and yes, I play for free). It's consistently great & consistently gets better every world/new hero. There are lots of side quests and daily rewards, and great events. The towers/upgrades are a lot of fun, gameplay is balanced and remains challenging. Looking forward to World 7.

One of the best tower defense games. It has in app purchases but still you can collect gems just by playing. Update: After having this game for almost 3 years, I deleted it. It is no more fun for those who have been with the game progress. The balance of the heroes is non existent and while the developers do have every right to make more powerful, newer heroes only available to the paid customers, it is a shady tactic to nerf old heroes just to make you pay for the newer ones specially after you have invested in the old ones and have maxed them out. But the more important reason that I deleted this game was that it was pushing ads to my home screen. While the ads inside the application, when it is running, are completely OK, pushing ads to one's home screen is just not acceptable.

I orignally said "a work in progress at best", but I came back after a year & was impressed at first. There seemed to be new content, but it was all repetitive, & the same issues are still there. Levels have no strategy or design, which is the key to a tower defense game-for all but the highest levels, you just build 1 tower over and over (yawn). Lag at the highest levels makes the game unplayable unless you invest in heroes to win it for you, & tournaments start with 7min of boredom each time.

A well thought-out, well organized, and aesthetic tower defense game. It's free to download, and is absolutely possible to be successful in-game without having to pay. There are little to no glitches, and they update the app often. In addition to the standard campaign missions, it offers many different game types, including competitive tournaments with other online players. All around, very impressive for a free game!

As the game continued to add features (which is great), it consistently locked many of said features behind pay walls (which is awful). Moreover, it began to make even basic functions (such as progression, leveling, etc.) pay-walled, unless you don't playing for 5 minutes daily for months just to accumulate what you would need. Sad, as I played this game when it was first released and it had so much potential, to the point where I wouldn't mind investing. Now, it's simply too expensive.

It's fun. After the first two levels though, the typical microtransaction garbage starts encroaching... and while I wouldn't mind paying like $10-20 total for the entire game, the fact that individual heroes will cost you upwards of $20 each (and more to upgrade) isn't workable for me... I guess chinese people just have more tolerance for that kind of thing. It is still fun though. Worth a try.

Has some great qualities. Only problem I have is I'm stuck. Finished to level 40 map in a few days and then found out to continue I need to do have tournament points. And 6 heros. Well I didn't plan that way so I won't progress anymore for a long long time. Might just give up on it. Other than that awesome game one of my favorite tower defense games. Just takes a long time to progress. Easy to get stuck.

This game is a lot of fun. Engaging mechanics and fun heroes. However, the cost of advancement is very steep. The cash prices for heroes and resources are very high, and the rate of gain for crystals is WAY too slow. The recently added achievements are broken for experienced players. Many of them cannot be completed without starting a new account. Please fix this issue!

Lots of fun challenges in this game and cool heroes. It can take a lot of time to save up for things without spending actual money so that can be a little frustrating. Also, it is frustrating that to level up certain hero abilities you HAVE to have 2 specific heroes to unlock a special map just for them. Basically forced to save up for a hero you don't even want/isn't worth it but need just to level up the hero you DO want. Other than those, app works well and is well designed in many ways.

Fun until you can't progress further. After the second map, you either pay real money to keep progressing or meet requirements to move on. The prerequisites aren't hard, but they will take a while to achieve. For instance, they want you to own 6 heroes, gain tourney coins, and level up your heroes. In the meantime, the only thing I can do with the game now is wait for the daily challenge and/or play their other 3 game modes, which only allows you to play a few times before you use up your keys

The game was fun for the first two worlds and then became stale once you try to go to world 3. This is when you realize you must either grind for weeks to level your characters or pay money to unlock the next world. While the game is still fun, it comes to a screeching halt when you try to progress. This point is further pushed when going to world 4 when you're required to grind twice as much or pay real money. They're smart to ask you to rate in the first 2 worlds too. I would've rated 5 stars.

Definitely a fun game, but at the end of the day, it lacks content. After awhile you'll end up beating all of the world's and you'll end up where I'm at, which is basically logging in every couple of hours to collect rewards then exiting. Once all of the world's are beat, the only thing to do is to wait around for the tournament, which in itself is boring. They are trying to add more content like a story-line based event, but even that gets boring. Overall, fun game but lacks content.

Bugs, crashes, and instability with every patch. Using my Samsung S21 on Wifi, 5G, 4G, it doesn't matter. I've been playing this game for a long time and it's worked fine, but the past several months it's gotten worse. Loads - sometimes. Actually loads - freezes or crashes. Start a level - nope, gonna crash. Finally finish a level - freezes on transition screen.

The game is fun to play. the graphics and mechanics are great. The problem comes when you finish the 2nd world. The requirements to proceed to world 3 way out of reach without either purchasing the next level with real $s or purchasing more gems to finish the tasks. I was having fun with this game until that point..... another "pay to play" game uninstalled.

Played the game a long time, and was one of those players that didn't spend any money. I got to the fourth stage before being slowed. I quit for a little while, switched phones and all progress gone. It kinda sucks but I'm surprised to see complaining about, "having to spend money" in this game. First 4 world's are pretty easy to get to from my experience thats quite a bit of free content.

I have always loved the kingdom rush series, so when I saw this, I was intrigued. At first I was put off by the cost of energy, however if you beat the level, they give it back. Plus it saves me from getting so frustrated that I throw my phone :) yes, similar kingdom rush series, but can hold it's own. The reward of gems does add up if you are patient enough so you can purchase stronger heroes. While they are new developers, they are certainly adding new content periodically, and quite frankly have done a great job for their first game. Keep up the good work guys!

Update: Unfortunately every couple months they issue updates for the iOS version but not the Android version, making the tournament unplayable (so Android users fall behind). They've also stopped providing support (which used to be quite good). Otherwise, this game is really enjoyable; it's a tower defense game at its core with a richly-layered RPG wrapped around it. The play is fun and challenging and the visuals are compelling making for a well-rounded experience.

I've been playing this game for several years now and have aways liked tower defense games, but this one keeps coming up with increasingly difficult challenges like the towers only option. It makes you think strategically; for instance, when you open up a area and see the layout, you sometimes have to back out and reassess the heroes you use or in towers only, you might need more magical items to give you the edge you will need. Suggestion: finish the stories for different characters to levelup.

This is no doubt a fun game, but I have a pretty serious problem with it. Eventually, they make it so hard that you're "encouraged" to spend money to beat the levels, especially on boss levels, which you need to beat to progress. On those most difficult levels, you'll have to use boosters in order to win to get a perfect 3 stars. You're frequently prompted to pay for the best heroes, which you can get for free with months' worth of grinding. World 3 is basically pay to play, especially the boss.

Man whatever update that was made totally screwed all my progress I had all the way from 2018. Ive purchased all the levels including almost all the hero's and now as of 2024 i have to start from the beginning even after I repeatedly try to restore my account. I absolutely loved this game progressed all the way to the last level (Asian themed level) I believe like level 120 and now I can't retrieve my old progress
