Really not user friendly... There's little bubbles in the bottom right corner that make it hard to scroll (the filter and location buttons), and when you're scrolling, the spot where your finger touches gets darker, making it hard to see what movie is there. Much worse than the older versions a few months ago. Also, trailers don't load, they stream, so if your internet isn't great, you're stuck with it buffering over and over and OVER. Stupid. It's not like everyone has lightning fast internet!

For the second time I rented an on demand movie & it will not play. I did everything from restarting the phone & internet to uninstalling & reinstalling the app. My chromecast is playing everything else fine. I've sent messages & get NO response, just my money taken. They'll also charge you for another day if you drop off a movie so much as 1 minute past 9pm. I've stuck with them because of the reward system but it isn't worth it. Amazon has the same movies to rent at the same price.

Usable, but just barely. If you pick the wrong pickup location GOD HELP YOU. You have to cancel the entire shopping cart, close the app, make sure the CLOSE it completely, then reopen and do it over again. Didn't save my info even though I am a member, spend a good 10 minutes to rent 3 movies. Frustrating all around, I should've just went to the Redbox kiosk and put in the info manually rather than using the app...

Not good for watching "free, with ads" movies. It keeps saying "unknown error" (or something), and kicking me out. When I go back in, I have to sit through a zillion Burger King & Redbox ads I've already seen a zillion times, then it kicks me out again so I usually just give up. I haven't used the phone app to watch a movie for pay, so I can't comment on that. I prefer the website for accessing my account info and searching movies, as it is more convenient than the app for those purposes.

Easy to navigate, ans enjoy all.of the extra features (i.e. playing movie trailers, etc.) Would be 5 stars but I can never find where to write a review on a film, and when the summer games (spin the wheel) is in season.... I can do EVERYTHING required on the list to get spins, and every time I lose. I haven't gotten a discount in the game 1 time! So renting 20 movies and I don't even get a BOGO... the wheel always says "better luck next time". 2 years and nothing ..

I love the phone app and the fact you can reserve movies literally minutes before picking it/them up and returning them is easy also at any Redbox location. I really like receiving promo codes to rent movies and being able to accumulate points for free movies. Customer service is also great if you ever need to contact them. I need help getting the app on my computer so I can stream movies on it. The instructions I googled on-line aren't very clear to me.

Plus: Like the ease of use of this app. Makes it very convenient for renting movies ahead of time. Good customer service. Minus: More than once, the app would not let me apply my perk points so I could use them to rent a movie - even when I had enough for more than one free movie. Also miss being able to apply more filters than just 'newest' and 'trending.' Want to search by genre. However, all-in-in one of my favorite and moat-used apps.

It has one very annoying problem. The app sends notifications offering coupons. When I tap on it, it simply takes me to the home page of the app. I add a movie to the bag. When I go to check out, the coupon isn't there. I have to back out of there & search for the coupon. It's in messages. Half the time the coupon doesn't work. Then I have to search my actual email for another coupon that hopefully works. WHEN I TAP THE NOTIFICATION I SHOULD BE TAKEN DIRECTLY TO MESSAGE CONTAINING THE COUPON.

Great for browsing available movies, locating the nearest kiosk, and paying ahead to reserve. However, promos (which show up as app notifications) do not work. For example: A typical notification pops up saying "Save $0.75 of your rental", I tap the notification, the app launches, but no sign of the promo/code and the notification is gone. For comparison, email notifications work great - - tap the email hyperlink, the app launches, and the promo code is automatically applied.

Great app! 👍🏽 very easy to browse and look for movies by genre , popular, new release , etc. You can locate a redbox near you and you'll browse titles available at that kiosk. Picking up a reservation is just as simple and fast. Just swipe your card that you have registered on the app and it'll show you the title you reserved and will dispense it for you! Love it! Also, you get lots of discounts and points on the app! Love it

This app is finally almost perfect - which makes it easy and convenient to use. The only fault now is that the time limited-offers expire on seem to be based for a different time zone than I am in. Also, I do wish, like others, that there would be better search filters, including one for wishlist, and another by location. (I wish the PC app worked as well as this Android version!)

It's a great app for the kiosk. Redbox is awesome at sending promo deals stating that you can either do, kiosk or on demand. But when you go to check out for on demand, there is no way to enter any actual 'plus ultra' promos. (2 4 1 deals) Keeps sending you to all those points you have and how to redeem at a kiosk but not online. So keep racking up those points you can't use for actual on demand rentals. And don't bother trying to get any kind of customer service help cuz there isn't any.

Great app. It helps me find movies and a Redbox no matter where I am. Sometimes the Box Locator is hard to navigate with when trying to find a location. i have been steered to a location where the box had been removed. They need to update the location map service. There is no way to contact Redbox thru text or email with questions in the app. I have to call the 800 number. Sometimes thats a pain !!

Good at showing ads. Terrible at showing movies. Tried to watch a free movie with ads. Fair enough, there will be ad breaks. And then you find that if you switch to another app partway through the movie, and switch back to this app, it shows you an ad immediately. And then it gives you an error message and kicks you back to the main screen. And then, when you try and resume watching, it shows you another ad, usually followed by another error. At this point I uninstalled it. Edit: Redbox replied

While the convenience is great, the app has some work. The interface is OK but the performance is terrible. Doesn't matter if I am on WiFi or cellular, it is slow and often times out. While I understand that it needs to be updated every time you select a location, the client is too thick and they need to reduce the load times. I have one of the fastest phones on the market so it isn't device related. Update: The app is draining my battery, had to uninstall. Update 2: turned off GPS, fixed battery

Things are looking and more importantly, working better! Way to go developers! Being able to find, view trailers, pick your product and before you pay, use your promo points is a lot easier. nice change! But wait, I have one thing that I feel needs improvent. This feature worked well before you changed the look and feel of the app. Im not happy with how you select your neighborhood box. It used to be easy but now its in the middle of the ordering process and I find that confusing.

great app and smart way to watch movies and save money. No subscription required. Highly recommended. What I like about it is the more you buy or rent movies the more points you get to rent a free movie and also sometimes they give $1.25 discount. Thank you very much 😊. Update: it used to be good because it used to show new released movies but not anymore. I wish you can go back to the previous version please. Now it's mixed the new movies with the old. Thank you very much 😊
