Changed my review from 5 to 3 stars. I had the App while back and loved it, you had lots of movies and things and now there's a bunch of videos that are cheesy, or composites of different videos, a lot of weird homemade videos. It was a lot better when you can get some really cool movies easily. Now things are spread out all over and it's confusing to try to find what you'd like to use. I paid for the app right away because I used to like it so much but now I've uninstalled it.

This is a good app. A recent update makes it harder to search animations (custom and songs) for your pictures. Before if I hit the + upload icon, I could choose between refacing pictures, sing along or voice changer. Now hitting the upload button defaults to refacing picture. The other options are not there anymore. Please correct. Also I am a pro user.

Fun app, but their billing is shady! I renewed for 1 year in September 2021. In November, they increased their yearly price and billed me again for the year, less than two months after I renewed at the old price, so basically got less than 90 days for the year I paid for. Not cool. *Edit - as a result of this review, instead of honoring initial annual renewal from September and crediting the double billing, they refunded the lesser amount and left the higher second charge intact. SHADY.

Worst ever! Extremely long ads that will not let you get out of the ad. If you try, the advertiser's app just downloads itself. You can't save anything if you're lucky enough to even get to try because you get stuck in yet another ad. I had to restart my tablet to get out of the last ad I got stuck in so I removed reface entirely. What a waste of time!

Apart from the larger video options that take a while to load, most are terrible looking. If you do find something you like, and want to save it, it goes to a gallery, but you have no way of finding it easily later. It's not saved to your phone, so it's on the app somewhere. Overall not a great experience. Ok for a short lived entertainment.

I gave it 2 stars previously because it started freezing my screen. It would have been 1 star but their support was very responsive so I added a star. I am bumping it up to 3. I figured out the issue and forward it on to support. Apparently there are some ads that will freeze the touch screen. After testing this extensively, I have found 3 ads so far that are issues. If you go back one screen and reface, hopefully a different ad pops up and you are OK. Otherwise this is fun, just frustrating.

Unfortunate. The app has so much potential for fun but it's one of those that is set up for a 3 day trial that will automatic charge if not cancelled. Of course you can cancel but we all know folks forget and there's the money! Money grabbers are the worst developers. Give it free for to try and let us decide to buy when (if) we're ready. It is fun though.

This was once a fun app. You could search for almost any movie or TV show and find a clip you could use. Now, the search feature brings up everything except what you're looking for. For example, I search for Hannibal Lector and the results are about a dozen different clowns. Sad thing is, I paid for this app, and now all the functionality has been removed. This app is unusable in it's current state.

Love this app, the pro version, mainly for animating faces to songs. All the choices for swap faces tend to look like some kind of disturbed morphed baby between the pic I use and whatever app choice is used. The end result looks nothing like the person in my pic, nor does it look like the original app pic. Hope this can be improved upon. Still having tons of fun with it.

I bought this app about a year ago and loved it! A large selection of movie clips, movie posters, and songs for animating your own pics. But with their last updates I no longer have the app I paid for. Majority of the content is now AI art, avatars, tiktok vids, and reduction of popular song. The response from Reface, is that they moved the songs to Revive, a new app to streamline user experience. I call BS, they reduced a function I paid for, and now they suggest buying a diff. app.

It WAS fun! Like so many in the last months we enjoyed its ability to use clips from movies and TV and add our own faces to them. I had a wonderful idea and so I went to my old favorite only to be utterly disappointed in what it has become. Just another social image site. Uninstalled immediately. BTW I gave it five a star review before, but now I fixed that to reflect what it's become. *Edit* I changed my rating to reflect your reply, I was guessing that was the case.

I really don't appreciate the price lift, to pay for this app in the first place was annoying but the prices didn't go up by just a dollar or two. I also got more annoyed because a week later I found a better app that was free and you didn't even need your credit card info. You may be thinking how we're they making money? Yes they had ads but I only came across 2 in one day after using it for hours. And you can skip after a couple of seconds.

Redownload to have some fun. I have many pleasant experiences with this app last time I had it. But it is getting uninstalled now after only a few minutes of browsing. The content is very basic and stripped down compared to the previous version I had used last. It's over priced for what they consider "pro". Searches never bring up anything no matter if you search a single letter or one of what they claim to be trending topics. Very disappointed. On to find something better I suppose.

Made one. It looked NOTHING like me. Didn't post it. Un-installed app. Months later discovered I'm getting charged weekly for an app I did not use and had un-installed! 😣 Update: It would have been a thing to have that option easily available. Yes I know how subscriptions work. Also, I'm just coming back here to see how I could get in touch with someone, after another charge. I will contact the email address provided.

This app used to be very good, but overtime, the devs have slowly but surely made it worse. Features are removed on a whim. There used to be a bunch of options when uploading a custom photo, and the app recent removed all of them. Plus, the search feature either doesn't work, or doesn't have most of the results it used to anymore. Especially when some people have paid for lifetime membership only to lose the feature they paid for? I really can't recommend Reface.

This app would be nice. But it does not work... even after paying all the money... when you try to regenerate it you have to pay another 7.99... I would only say this is a scam because I paid for the lifetime subscription... and I paid the extra 7.99 twice already and still have not received one regeneration.. and it's almost impossible to reach contact support, so there is no way I can get my money back.

It is so much fun. The faces aren't always perfect, but when they are, it's great. - 2022 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tried it again, and it was garbage. I paid for a one week subscription because my daughter likes the singing filter, but now the face gets distorted, and the head movement is so much and so sloppy it's too distracting to enjoy. The rest of the filters either looked horrible, were inappropriate, or had to be paid for on top of the subscription. This app is trash compared to #toonme. - 2024 ⭐️

pay to enter the app then have to pay even more to make the AI portraits. Subscription is pricey for limited use, you can only face swap with it and even that looks horrible. any face swap just plasters your face atop the image rather than making it fit in with the art style or color palette. To use the AI portraits you have to pay $6.99 to get them which, on top of a $4.99 weekly subscription, is expensive and the app itself is useless. Do not download.

Much too expensive for what the app does. I cancelled right away, have to contact the company to hopefully be offered a refund. UPDATE - What a complete rip off, the computer generated AI avatars look nothing like me, I feel like I was robbed 😔. There are free apps that can do the same thing, don't know why I thought this would be better (considering the weekly charges without a grace period to try it out first).

Edit 03/01/2023. Okay, the biometrics for 3 years seems to be taken care of. The app overhaul stinks because now there are no good videos anymore, like movie clips, etc. They do a great job at face swapping, but now there are no fun pics, or vids. Edit 11/9/21. Okay, now a very cool app went from 5 down to 3 because now I can't use it due to the developer wanting me to agree to collecting my data. Not going to agree to that.
