the 3 month subscription model is obnoxious, difficult to cancel, there's discrepancies between showtimes for the same theater on multiple screens, and i wish i could make certain upcoming films as "interested", so i could review my moviegoing options more efficiently. does what it has to, and is definitely helpful, but i would love a few optimizations and fixes.

I recently purchased the unlimited pass through the app. The purchase was processed (I confirmed it with a local theater) with my photo. Now, every time I open the app it goes directly to the page to take and upload a photo. The menu disappears so the app becomes unusable. I reinstalled the app, and after I logged back in it went to the same screen.

This app has frequent malfunctions. Sometimes, it spools until the session times out. Some cards can be added as payment options while others cannot. Sometimes, it says no theaters or movies available. It's always slow moving when trying to select seats and purchase tickets. I've had this app for several years, and the functionality has not improved.

Lost use of app. We've been subscription customers since the beginning pretty much, even hanging on during covid when little was out and the paused charges resumed. Had great customer care when we asked to update our photos in the app, they were quick to help and we were super thrilled. They pushed the update photo request to the app for us both and that is the only thing we can do presently. However, the app just gives us both an error message about permissions yet all are on...

All it does is crash, all the time. I barely open it before it crashes. Used to work. Used to keep me logged in too. Once it logged me out and I couldn't log back in that was it. Update 01/30/2024 It doesn't crash. Actually it's been stable for quite some. Keeps me logged in. And...it now it doesn't load anything. Movies/Times won't load. Theaters won't load. Promotions won't load.

This app suddenly stopped allowing me to buy tickets under my unlimited plan and ticket type is wrong. My payments are up to date. After emailing Regal many times, they finally responded and agree with me but will not correct the problem. Of course I signed in and out many times to reset app. Of course I have the most up to date version. Of course I rebooted my phone. They even tried purchasing a movie on my acct using unlimited plan and could not. They are no help at all! Penny.

Laggy, information was never great, but now that the movies tab has been condensed it's even worse. Being able to see the showtimes at my nearest theater at a glance was how I most often planned to see a movie, now I can't hardly tell what's playing. Was already considering just waiting until movies I want to see hit streaming, this janky app is just one more push in that direction.

Recent update is terrible. Changing from showing current movies to overloading the same space with tiny tiles is overwhelming. I can't read that small print and it now takes twice as long to find the movies I want to see. Cramming all that information on one page was a waste of time. If it not broken, don't fix it. You ruined it.

Extremely disappointed in the unlimited renewal. It does automatic renewals that cannot be turned off, hides the membership tab so that you cannot cancel your membership, and still charges a "convenience" fee when you try to order tickets on the app. The convenience fee is ironic because the app is anything but convenient. Do not buy an unlimited subscription for even one month (it makes your first subscription minimum 3 months long anyways). It is a soul-sucking, confusing, money trap.

Like other reviews have said, the new update with a change in the layout of how to find currently showing and upcoming movies is not helpful. Please being back the old layout with only currently showing movies not being reduced to small thumbnails. Also I hate that you have a convenience fee for using the app to book tickets. While it is only 50¢ it is dumb.

The App needs improving. Side-scrolling on a phone(which most of us use) is not great, they need to go back to the vertical scrolling. Also when I go to the promotions tab and click on the promotions it takes me right to buy a ticket. What it should do is take you to the details of the promotion then you should be able to click on the purchase ticket option. Please fix this.

The app was pretty good, the current and coming soon movies had their own separate tabs and clicking on a movie to read the summary kept your place while you were scrolling. The recent update ruined a lot of that, the movie tiles are a lot smaller and everything is on one page now making it hard to see. The horizontal scrolling is harder to navigate especially since now when you click a movie to read the description you lose your place in the lists. I'll be switching to the AMC app for now.

This app has been great for years. Now they change the way you view current movies, and it is almost unusable. You used to be able to scroll vertically through the current movies with a generously sized thumbnail. Note is a horizontal scroll with tiny thumbnails because all of the movies are on the same pagerather than a tab for current movies, coming movies, etc.

The newest update to the Regal app is ridiculous. There was nothing wrong with the previous version other than an occasional glitch when trying to complete a purchase. I can hardly see the tiles that the movies are listed on now. They are way too small and I have good vision!! It has kept me from even attending movies lately. I am an unlimited member and have been for quite some time but I'm seriously considering canceling because of the new setup on the app. It is not user-friendly.

The new layout is awful. The old version of the app was great, and you could easily tell what movies were out now, or coming soon (sorted by release date) and click a movie to see more details. It showed the release date on the same catalogue page. Now it does not even list the 'Coming Soon' section in order of release date, and if you click one to see when it's actually releasing, then go back, it scrolls all the way back to the beginning of the list. I'm considering dropping Regal Unlimited.

Side scrolling made it very hard to use. Previous version of the app was decent. Then they updated it to scroll to the side for list of movies. On a phone with long vertical space and limited homicidal space, this is really really hard to use. Secondly, you always go back to beginning of the list if you click on a movie and go back. This makes you not want to click on any movie to view show times. Please go back to vertical lists!

The app was terrible before and it's worse now with side scrolling. It's glitchy, slow, and straight up doesn't work half the time. There's too many things to list that don't work consistently or smoothly. And the overall layout of menus and information doesn't make sense at all. It just needs to be redone completely. The update that makes you scroll sideways to see movies is even worse than before. It's impressive how bad this app is.

Not a great app. Unfortunately it is essential if you have the unlimited pass. It's too bad they don't spend a little bit more making an app work properly, the movie trailers never work, and it doesn't let you choose certain seat locations even if they're the only seats left in the whole theater, makes you buy an extra seat just so you can reserve the one you want. I have been unlimited member for a long time but this app is so awful that I'm not renewing my unlimited membership again.

This app is just ok, I like the ease of being able to purchase tickets and picking the seats through the app with convenience but once before, there was an issue and someone else had the same seat numbers we purchased, but I haven't had any issues since then. The app does seem to lag alot though and exit out on its own quite abit. Also, though a very small issue, I used to love changing my "regal crown" card to different card skins all the time but now it seems like that feature no longer works.

Warning: The unlimited membership is a fraud. They keep the payment and won't provide a cancellation option. I have contacted support multiple times but have not been successful in canceling the payment. This business is a scam and a fraud. I hope you don't buy the unlimited membership because you will be stuck with the payment forever. Thanks to my credit card company able to block Regal. I will never go back to Regal again.
