Setting up a remote desktop solution is rarely straightforward; free solutions like the Windows proprietary app and Google's Chrome RDC , are often billed as all you need but, in reality they are rudimentary and, in the case of Microsoft, a real headache to configure. RemotePC just works. I installed it on Win10 and my Android device, and it did exactly what it said on the tin. No ifs, no buts, no excuses. It's rare in the world of networking for things to just work...and be secure.

I just downloaded this app, and the first thing it says is that I need to provide my bank card in order to start a 7-day trial. I don't have any.

Useless. Stuck on loading the main screen. Only works on the Web version. It's been like this for months, the devs have known about it for months and months and still haven't got a fix for it. Pathetic.

Is not better than teamviewer. Drag and drop is impossible. Remote mouse is often jittering.

Unusable from phone. taps are as much as 300 pixels off of where they should be, so I can't use this app for remote control

The new update has a bug. Just updated the app on 5/14/2024, and now the app won't open due to a bug. I was able to use it at the beginning of the day before the update.

Freezes. Sometimes after restarting the host computer remotely it locks you out/ remotepc viewer show you are offline but in fact you are not. The host computer is on. Unless someone is available to check host computer then your remote status will remain offline. This is challenging when you are remote and may not have anyone to checknthe host computer especially if office is closed. Which defeats the purpose of the program.

I'm been using RemotePC for three years now and I "wouldn't log on without it!" My favorite feature lately is the ability to copy files of any size in either direction. I'm finding myself using it from phone or tablet as much as between my desktops. The company quietly makes frequent updates to the app, and it's wonderfully reliable. The REMOTEPC phone support folks are unfailingly helpful and friendly.

It just works. I use multiple OSs and versions of Linux and Windows and love it. Remember the base account supports 10 systems. Add more and you'll have to delete some or upgrade. I've connected from my IOS and android phones and tablets to desktops, servers and laptops with single and multiple screen sizes and counts without issue.

Wow. Fail from rhe first moments. Login screen appears without make new account link. Bypass. Hit settings... how to use shows phone gestures. What? Its not installed or connected. Go to help. HUGE LIST of q and a. How to use says to login to app then use with any computers that are set up. You need to hire someone who can design this. Its really not hard. Look at commonly used software and do the same things. Wow.

RemotePC viewer is one of the best examples I've seen in the last 10 years of custom programming that does exactly what you need it to do. If you have a problem with this product there is something seriously wrong and it's probably not this product. It's a joy to use. And as I said a wonderful example of what targeted thoughtful custom programming can do. Great job! Robert Orlando Florida Samsung Galaxy

Always loses connection. Extremely unreliable service. "Reconnecting. The connection has been lost. Trying to reconnect..." For some reason, I'm actually paying for this service yet I don't see any value to their product. I've never had this problem with TeamViewer and I know for certain my internet is working fine so it's not a problem on my end.

This app is sooo useful. I only wish there were options to configure the controls. OR TO HAVE ONSCREEN MOUSE CONTROLS. I hate that I have to hold to right click, I like to move fast and it's so annoying to maneuver this way. Also seems difficult to left click and drag, but thats less important to me. Please please allow better mouse controls! Update: my pc is online but the app says offline. Renders the app and subscription useless.

I don't know why we haven't used this software sooner! Tested it via Android phone and it worked flawlessly. Accessed our trading software platform (which doesn't offer a mobile app)...executed a few trades just like I was sitting at my desk! Navigated onto 3 different monitors and accessed files, photos, CPU settings. Easy to use after learning the simple touch screen commands. Look forward to using remotepc this next year and beyond. Highly recommend.

The app itself is just fine, the billing practice is horrible and would not use them again. We purchased a year, we didnt have a need for another year - they trick you into automatically billing through credit card - then they do not let you cancel online or via email. Better still, you have to wait on hold for a half hour waiting for the 'opportunity' to cancel service. By the way, no refunds if you go a day past the anniversary, you're buying another whole year. Congrats!!

Best Reasonably Priced Remote Access Software. I've been using remote access software since the early 2000s. The pattern is that a capable remote software will come out at reasonable price and then once it has widespread adoption, they jack up the price. This happened with GoToMyPC and then LogMeIn. I've been using RemotePC for 3 or 4 years and the quality of the software has improved, but the price has thankfully stayed about the same. It does everything I need it to. It is well worth the price

App is great. Smart way that it uses multiple monitor settings to blank the remote screen. Not the best way to do it, but it works. Desktop version is OK. Needs a better way to scale the screen to the host computer without having to change resolutions. And it. Needs to save my settings. Pain to have to reset the view settings everytime. And it disconnects quite a bit. And then I have to log back into the remote computer when it reconnects. I also use TeamViewer and it doesn't have this issue.

For business use, get splashtop instead. Desktop is do-able, but has some latency issues when scrolling or moving windows. Mobile is not usable in my experience. Minimizing a window takes about 10 seconds for something that should instantaneous, and forget about trying to scroll accurately to select something. 2 stars because the app functions if you have no other option to connect.
