What a horrible app. I bought the premium for 10 dollars because the content was really good, but the next day they said I can only do it for 10 minutes because I don't have premium. I emailed them to try to get it fixed and the response was that their inbox was too filled with other people's emails. Stay away from this scam, great content but the 10 dollar premium is a sham. Edit: I've sent them 3 emails in the last few weeks, and still no response, don't make the mistake that I did, just because they seem helpful and are responding to reviews on here doesn't mean they are actually doing anything about it. They are just keeping up a facade of being helpful without doing anything to back it up. If they allow me to get premium (that I paid for) I will mention it

Good exercise. The click is easy to hear but the beats, not so much. It could be my phone though even though it's brand new. For an extra challenge play as a passenger in a vehicle. If youre struggling it turns the tempo down which makes it a little more challenging in my humble opinion. All in all i really like it.

Great app, they fixed a lot of the of problems with the app requiring unrealistic accuracy (it used to be that you had to be EXACTLY correct and at the slower tempos it was horribly frustrating). But it's not as if it lets you get away with mistake. I absolutely love the lessons and then the intermittent sight reading work. Absolutely worth the one-time fee for the full version. Amazing

In theory, this is a good app. However I realized that putting it on bluetooth was causing the app to only record about half of my beats accurately. So I took it off and calibrated it and... now I'm getting zero right. For what it's worth, I can clap or snap along to a rhythm pretty easily irl so this is an app problem. Maybe I'll use it again if it can be less buggy, but there's no reason that it should be recording this inaccurately, and certainly not worse AFTER I "calibrate".

I have never written a review before, but this app is amazing. As a self taught musician, I have always struggled with my internal rhythm and no practice I've done before has ever felt like it was really helpful until now. I love the way this app breaks down the lesson plans and adjusts dynamically to your skills and weaknesses. 5/5, would give 6 if I could.

Guitarist here, and I suck at reading rhythm. I started to play drums and it became pretty apparent that there's no tablature equivalent so I'd have to bite the bullet. This app has been super helpful and is very well thought out. It does hurt my brain a bit, but I'm making noticeable improvements and now the "crows sitting on five wires" of music isn't as daunting. Trick is to count!

So far, this is a pretty good app. The graphics are supposed to kind of pop when the note is played, and after a few days using it, that isn't always consistent. I'd think that would help newer players. I am using a new Samsung S10. I got it because the one my music teacher suggested claims the plug-in is not supported. If asking, I'd like a scoreboard w date/time so I can show my professor I wasn't fooling around on FB during warm-up time. Fun it's for school, tho (theory).

I've tried other rhythm apps, and they were okay, but this one is the best for me. You not only hear the rhythm, but feel it too as you play it back. Progressively challenging, the app sets 15 minutes for each session and adjusts the tempo as needed to match your skill level. None of the other apps have done that, and that makes all the difference for me.

The need for calibration using a microphone defeats the purpose of the app. It ought to simply be tap based. I can understand needing to calibrate latency with a Bluetooth device, like headphones, but I'm not going to sit there calibrating in a quiet place with a microphone and no headphones just to tap on the screen later. You need a better solution for handling latency.

Probably the best rhythm training app I've ever seen. One big improvement though I feel would benefit this app, would be to have an "endless" (or however long you feel) read mode that combines everything you've learned. I feel like something like that could be a truer test of your understanding of rhythm than what is currently there, where all the different patterns are in their own seperate sections. It would also create a proper end to the lessons, whereas now it just ends abruptly.

Need idea but I also do not like the awkward pause. It may be the best way according to whoever but it's a very unrealistic scenario. The pause isn't timed very well. You end up having to guess when to hit and hope you don't scuff the first note and therefore your next notes won't be perfect. I understand the concept but this wouldn't happen in a real life scenario. Your band wouldn't play a bar then wait a bar in a diff tempo then go back to the old tempo. The online one was far worse too.

worked great initially. but after i paused and closed the app, when i started it up again, the note display was out of synch with the tap sounds. This made it unusable and very frustrating. ( the tap sounds occured significantly before the notes ) I tried going through the calibration steps, and restarting the app several times, and rebooting my phone. ( Android LG G5 ) . But still the taps and the note displays are out if synch.

Well done! Very effective training tool. One thing I'm not sure about is that there is no sound feedback when I tap rhythms. Is that a bug, or is it intentionally designed to help learning? At any rate I'm getting used to it. EDIT: I've progressed to a more difficult level and the required precision seems a bit absurd. Even playing quarter notes over the click I'm off at least once every 2 bars. Maybe it's pushing me but right now it's mostly exasperating.

Fun with limitation. The app layout is clear. The lesson levels are well made. However, there are only two measures for learning. Good but not great. I want to be able to add more measures based on the level. The students should be able to stay with the level and practice more with 4, 6, or 10 measures. When I completely confident, I want to move on to the next level with 2 measures as the app was originally made. Please add customized measures and notes, rests.

EDIT: Now that i have finally finished all levels I can concluded that this game has helped my rhythm and timing tremendously. Fantasic app! Hello, Rhythm Trainer. There needs to be a free style mode- a free tapping mode where it tracks, plays back, and saves your rhythms. I want to play slurred 8th notes, not strict triplets and not 8th notes, but I want to visualize it by the green dots along the rhythm bar. Thank you

So far I'm really enjoying this rhythm training app Im making great strides, I feel like this is the best way to possibly try to learn music later in life. And they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. I've always Been a drummer but never learned to read music. I only did 9th grade band and then I dropped out, huge mistake that was. This is such a neat way to learn Reading music. And pretty fun, it Is especially great for someone that's already musician and wants to get better. Thanks!

Good app. I wish it was actually free. You get part way in and then they charge you to keep going. Update: Yes I did pay for it, but it is great app. If you consider buying a technical book for rhythm you may pay the same thing. After using this for a few months, I'm noticing a big difference. The interactive teaching is the way to go.

Great app for sightread/timing. My only problem was at level 41 "your response will be evaluated more strictly". I finally gave up after trying over and over and over being off by 1/32 note. Too many mistakes & u get sent back to the beginning of level. In this app, you tap out rhythms on your phone with sound & note prompts and later, with notes only. Shows with dots on the staff if you are early or late. FreeVersion is 10 mins a day. Unlimited for only nine ninety-nine. 4/4 & 3/4)

Not a musician here. But getting a feel for basic rhythm through this app, and enjoying the time spend. Interface is easy, self explanatory. 10 minutes free per day, above that, a one time purchase is required. The fee seems to be in an okay range.

Works well most of the time, but there's something finnicky going on with the timing sometimes. I say this since i use other apps as well and this is the only that give trouble., sometimes it requires you to be super accurate to a point where i don't even know if I'm rushing or dragging. Even on slower exercises I'll match as close as possible to tempo sound to no avail. There needs to be a toggle for how many Milliseconds of innacuracy will still register as a correct tap or something.
