Ride is a good app but I would like to mention the following issues:- - Drivers understanding in reading the map is very poor, i had to describe my location until i'm almost frustrated (This needs to be corrected) - If one is travelling longer distance (Eg. Mexico to Ayat) the drivers will obviously keep on rejecting requests, from what i've learnt it is because of the initial fare (50 birr) which is beneficial for shorter distance when it comes longer distance well apparently it is not beneficial for the drivers, so please developers find a solution for this issue, either increase the fare for longer distance so that it will be attractive for the drivers or put some order to the issue

Verification wouldn't send a text to my local number for verifying. When using on other people's phone the drivers can't read the map to know where you are, they call you to find out where you are and then sometimes refuse to come because you're too far away, or take a long time when someone else closer could have come! Unfortunately looks like the best available. Please train drivers to pin point where you are before accepting jobs, calls to confirm appearance etc... is fine obviously.

The app is not what's bugging but the service. I just ordered a ride and the driver cancelled on me but he ended but putting it in the app as though I was picked up by him and that I had paid him. I was totally confused🤔 Anyways drivers happen to cancel a lot of my bookings and usually last minute which is very annoying. I have been reading through the reviews on how drivers don't use GPS & I've had to deal with that a lot too but yet I don't see any improvement. Hope you improve.

As a foreigner I installed and used this app before arriving in Addis. It works properly and is intuitive. I have had no issues with it apart from the slow start when searching for destination road names or places, this part just takes far too long for some reason. Your drivers are great but don't seem to either know about Google Maps or how to use it for directions. I've had to give instruction to all the drivers I used. Well done developers, it's great coming from an Ethiopian initiative

Ride has been my choice since day one with the e receipt availability and a tech to avoid abusive price dickering with the 'Lada' and yellow taxi's at the airport. The app works fine but here are some points to be improved 1. I constantly find my pickup location to be considerably distant from the driver's and need to cancel and order again. 2. Most of driver's don't really know their location and tend to gather the info from the customer via phone. 3. They also tend to inquire the destination.

The new UI is nice but here are some features we want back from the previous version. * showing the current price and Kilometers you have travelled in realtime as they go would be better rather than waiting for the trip to end then showing the amount to be paid. * In the previous version, driver detail and picture were much bigger & readable but the current small one gives a hard time for people who have mild sight problems and elderly people, previous size was much appreciated. Keep it up 👍

The app itself is great but please teach your drivers how to read the map and how to use e.g. google navigation. Most of them cannot find the pickup place even if it is not complicated. You need to walk to the nearest well-known place in Addis, otherwise they would not find you, even if the pickup point is clearly marked on the app's map. This is very annoying, especially when you dont speak Amharic.

It is a very good, professional service. As regular customer of Ride, I strongly recommend it. It's easy to use and has a loyalty program. I have only one suggestion: to create an option to select a preferred driver. There are three Ride driver's around my house area, but rather than getting an instant service from them, I am forced to wait for 5, 6... 10 minutes for another Rides which are quitely far away.

Attitude of some drivers (disrespecting customers, talking to mobile while driving, etc.) and the age and conditionof some of the cars (old cars and/or not clean cars) shall be improved. U must have a zero tolerance rule on these situations and u must give continues awareness and regularly supervise the conditionsof the cars on sevice.

Would have given it 3 stars because of some drivers claiming that they don't have change. But the rating is only for the app i guess. So it is an amazing app. The fact that it makes the whole process of the service transparent to customers is so great. The estimated payment and the actual payment are very approximate unless there is a traffic crowd and the driver takes another optional route. Great app!

The drivers of this app make it to be the worst app I've ever used. So far, almost all of them are rude, have no appealing customer service, and insist on many extra charges (not displayed on the app) once they reach the customer's destination. Such charges include luggage fee (which they say is at least 25 birr per luggage), airport pass/entry fee, etc. The drivers always take advantage of foreign nationals, esp. those who don't speak any of the local languages. The app needs significant overhaul. All the time the drivers don't know the location of the clients and take too long to arrive. I recommend this app with unmeasurable reservation.

just wow! Ride made my part of life on transportation ...very simple. However, I do have reservations; drivers not well taught of the pick-up location navigation system via the map. It is so boring that I have to explain my location with an inch's detail. Sometimes I have to call ride drivers I have used previously, without the app or the call center. Please teach them well before they indulge into the business, annoy customers, and cause a risk/loss in the competitive market invironment.

I have been using your application for more than 6 years.... But this time I had some problems that are forcing me to stop using it. Mainly because of the different drivers who do not respect your role regarding location and map and are not exposed to drive according to the passenger's will. In addition, they do not give change of payment and always have the excuse that they do not have change. Treating passengers properly should be the priority choice. Sincerely Caterina Enrico

Something wrong with the app. I ordered a minivan of seven seats but just a small car came when I wanted to cancel before even the trip started. The app displayed that I should pay an unreasonable amount of money for that. The driver wasn't helpful at all. And the customer service is awful. The drivers are incapable of reading maps and require further information about your location and even tell to come to where they are.

As an ex-pat living in Addis Ababa this app is better than just hailing taxis. I like that the price is shown to you before you get in the cab. HOWEVER, it is annoying that even after you identify your location via the app the driver calls you (usually 2x) to ask where you are standing. If the app tells them where you are then why must U repeat it? This should really be unnecessary. When I’ve used Uber/ Lyft in other locations there is no need for confirming my location. Plse solve this.
