Game is fun to play. But the random crashes make it less likely I'll even try to open the game. Add to that the "old fashioned" method of summoning hero shards instead of hero's makes it less likely I'll keep the game installed. Loved the graphic style and the battles, hopefully see fixes can be made.

I've been playing this game for a little under a month and it's okay but with this last update I cannot stay on and actually do anything, it continually Auto shuts down on me! I've tried it both on Wi-Fi and over 4G and doesn't make a difference. Also none of the other games I play at any problems. Besides the connection issue I agree with other comments, around mid part of chapter 2 it gets extremely difficult and there gacha % is terrible and way over priced.

Awesome game! The only reason it gets 4 stars and not 5 is because when I enter the Hero Arena Battles for the first time it sets off some sort of glitch that after a few battles kicks me from the game completely every time I click on the "Battle" button in the bottom tool bar. I'll change it back if the devs can fix it.

Fun like wh40k tacticus, but once you hit a certain point, you can't upgrade a character any further even though you don't have enough strength to beat the next level... so my too weak team has to keep losing against ai until I luck into upgrade material becoming available in the game shop. Everything costs in game currency to do, but in game currency is sparsely given out... but overall very fun

Lacks battle options. EX: Agnar is standing right next to the enemy. I have already used his ability so if I click on the enemy I have no choice but for him to move where the AI wants to attack a target next to me. I don't want him to move at all. Should have to. Put in the option to attack without moving it so simple. To advance you need emblems. That is the first super rare resource you will have to buy. Boxes for orbs and epic/legendary pieces will also have to be bought. Just to PVE the game

After playing and enjoying the game for two months, it crashed and I was only able to play the campaign. The online options, p vs p and Dragon Raid were not available and spinning. I decided to uninstall, thinking this might've solved the issue, but it didnt, it was even worse. I installed it again, but I was unable to download the game with all my progress. I tried many things, but nothing worked. I gave up and realized I've lost my account/ game for good. RIP😔

Probably the best "free" game I've played on mobile so far. The turn based combat is really fun. There are quite a few different game modes that add variety. Plenty of heroes to collect and level up. As you level up, the resources get tougher to accumulate, but it's possible to continue free with patience. If you like turn based combat with varied heroes, I'd highly recommend this game.

The game is fun with some strategy involved. My main complaint is that it is hard to level up new characters. They only gain a few xp per stage and are weak until you level them up as they die quite quickly. Maybe add more exp pamphlets or increase xp so that I dont have to do low level stages again just to try new characters.

The game has great strategic elements to it and fun character design. However one quickly realizes that much of the focus seems to have been placed on gating progress. Its quite abysmal. Upgrading characters requires literal months of playing at the current drop rates and progression mechanics; or gargantuan levels of spending. Pricing is another major issue and almost always not worth it. Good for a week worth of play and no monetary investment.

Decent game, I've been playing for a long time, but it has a freezing problem. The other day I was using 10 tokens (earned from several hours of playing) to purchase upgrades. Game froze right in the middle of it. Lost all of the tokens and got none of the upgrades. I reported the issue to the developer through the app, but they haven't followed through. Very disappointing.

I've enjoyed this game so far. It has all the elements that I like - turn based strategic combat, cartoon-like art, fantasy. Few things that would help make it better - making the levels harder. They're very easy to do right now. - the game crashes every now and then where the screen goes green and I can't do anything. - real time battles where I'm actually battling a player instead of their teams being played by a bot

Love the gameplay, but it fails for the same old reason. I've been playing for almost a year. It's clearly impossible to upgrade characters past a certain level without paying. The reward system doesn't even pretend to be unbiased. Items that drop consistently suddenly take 3 weeks to drop just when you need it. Or you'll get hundreds of laurels but no emblems, so you still can't upgrade. One day someone will make a mobile game that is fun until the end. This is not that game.

I'm glad you have been able to do some things new with a tired and worn genre of game. Absolutely love the maps and level changes, combined with other terrain features is refreshing take on what would otherwise be very dull battles. However, I'm afraid the improvements to the genre do not make up for the massive influx of hero collection games that are largely all the same.

Immediately likeable; charming graphics and an especially pleasant interface. Outstanding tutorial which makes it all obvious in an also aesthetically pleasing way (this stuff matters on a phone). I'm not far into things but there appears to be a fair amount of building blocks which aren't too cumbersome in micromanaging; reasonably thought-provoking tactical battles. The story is lacking (there isn't one) but there's enough enjoyable here early on that I'm curious enough to continue...

Pros: 1) Fun strategy game. 2) Nice graphics. Cons: 1) Currently cannot connect to Google Play, so if you delete and reinstall you cannot restore your progress or purchases! :X 2) Long game introduction you cannot skip. Ties in with issue #1. 3) The only tough battles are the boss battles. At least up thru to the frost zone where I deleted the game originally. 4) The game give a lot of free energy when you first start playing. Once that runs out, you find you cannot do much each day. 3-4 fights

I was really enjoying Rivengard although the other reviews are correct esp in advancing the team. With such a draw on farming and such limited energy it makes the process tedious and painstaking. As of yesterday for whatever reason my game will not play. Most of the time I cannot even finish loading up before it crashes on me. Then I might get to play one board before it crashes again.

The game is fun, requires tactical thinking, and there isn't an auto do all button. There's a wide variety of champions that all feel different. The prices are outrageous, and the champion progression becomes a megagrind. It's fun to play, but before I spend money, their prices need to become more reasonable.

The game is fun. I love the playstyle, art, etc. However progression is very slow, there is very little things I look at in the shop going "well I can spend money on this, but is it even going to help me that much?" If doesn't even make me want to spend money. No guarantee on good characters, no guarantee your going to get anything you need. Love the game, but progression is frustratingly terrible

The game play is good for a turn based strategy game. The story is almost non existent. Characters are interesting but with no story to back them up the kind of get lost. I have been playing since the game came out and I am way behind the paying players. As far as freebies go the game is very stingy. Even grinding comes to a halt when you run out of stamina, unless you drop a lot of gems. To make matters worse now the game crashes all the time. It won't open at all. I'm deleting it.

so far very very fun. easy to get into simple yet complex. I'm enjoying it. one of the better tactics. and no adds except rare voluntary ones. I've only seen one of those options so far. Great animation and neat depth for the field. I like the varying terrain and bonuses ect. I hope this doesn't grind down to a "have to wait forever to play next level". I never understood why you want to restrict people from playing. I mean I get why time gates exist but I feel there has to be better options.
