I tried this app for my S6 after the Mi Home app gave me a bunch of mapping problems. In the Mi Home app, the maps from different runs would never align, and I'd get offset rooms overlayed on top of each other. The dedicated roborock app seemed to resolve these issues, but it only worked for a couple days. As of this morning, the house map will not load. It's hung up on "map loading", and not even backup maps will load. This is really disappointing.

Roborock S6 works great; App not so much. After an update a couple of months ago, app keeps randomly dropping out of the map screen (where you give ALL of the instructions) back to the "Enter Robot" screen or crashes altogether. I've sent multiple feedback messages but they haven't even responded much less fixed this major issue yet. App has a lot of potential, but is borderline useless in its current state.

I'll give it a 3 because when the app works correctly, the robot does a nice job. Please though, stop breaking the map. Every time there's an app update the robot has to remap the house. If I don't let it remap and continue using the saved map, it runs around and bangs head against walls, gets lost, forgets charging base, and manifests objects that don't exist on the current map. This also goes for your firmware updates. I've had to hard reset the robot twice now due to faulty firmware causing similar issues. The reset won't take the firmware back to out of box firmware either, so be careful doing those.

Cannot get this app to work. Just received my Roborock S6 vacuum and went to connect it to the app. Made sure my phone was on my 2.4GHz band and after choosing my network and entering the password, my app crashes. I've tried it repeatedly and it crashes every time. Was able to get it to connect to the Mi Home app so I guess I have to use it for now. Please fix the app!!!

Some of the features lacks common sense and basic testing. For example, maps orientation can't be changed. i.e once roborock maps the area, if the map is slightly inclined at 40°, then you can't change that. How this effects is, if you have to do a zone cleaning, you can place a perfectly aligned boxes, you can't rotate them on the map. This creates such frustration and you have to make roborock clean more are than required. I can do the demo if someone from Roborock can contact me.

This would be a decent vacuum but for one very critical flaw. Once the initial vacuum is complete you better do it right, as it doesn't have the ability to clear or delete "all" the map data leaving you one shot at getting it right. I have reset the system several times to no avail. Now it loses its mind trying to figure out where to go! Customer service is useless claiming nothing can be done except deleting and resetting the system, if that doesn't work, oh well.

overall I prefer this to the competitor that I tried. I would love for an option to crop certain areas from maps such as where it scanned through a sliding door to outside. the ability to avoid very low objects such as standing desk feet is an annoyance because it almost always gets stuck on them. I own the j7+ and it would have been nice to have objects annoyance with cameras but I guess I'll eventually have to upgrade.

Used to navigate my home fine. After various updates.. Now map is skewed/slanted.. Have to load a backup map each time I use it. Vacuum constantly gets lost in a house with no reflective surfaces (low to the ground anyway) to confuse it. At 66% battery, I got a notification that it could not locate the charging dock... And it was nowhere close to being finished.. It's not supposed to charge itself until 20% battery.. Yet it had parked itself and stopped vacuuming until I manually docked it.

IF YOUR BOT CANNOT CONNECT TO WIFI, TRY THIS: I got it to work, finally, after a ton of troubleshooting. You should forward this fix to your documentation team, since it was very odd. Xfinity internet service and many other big ISPs provide new routers that can only be controlled via the web. By default, the router is blocking the bot, possibly as some means of preventing a foreign WLAN based access point from connecting. Anyhoo, that was causing my issue. I had to sign into my router portal via Xfinity and assign the device as a Home Device so the router would let it through its "stupid proof", i.e. unconfigurable firewall. I'm not sure why the Xfinity router wasn't allowing the bot through by default, but there it is. So, I'm connected and all set, but I'm sure this is an issue others run into, so I hope this helps some folks out. The rest of the app works great for the most part, but this wifi connect issue was pretty troublesome and Roborock support had no clue how to fix it.

I've had my Roborock S7 for almost three years now. It used to be so reliable and would run every routine without intervention. But over the years, the software updates keep making it worse. I don't know if they don't validate their updates on older models, or what the problem is, but it's really unfortunate. It regularly redraws my maps, or gets lost in the map a few seconds into the routine, requiring me to restore the map and start over.

So close to being perfect. Unfortunately, drawing lines to separate rooms can be frustrating, as the app is very picky about where you can draw the lines and it can feel like trial and error trying to get it to work. Also, if the robot sees through a window or a glass door it will add what it sees to the map even if it's inaccessible or outdoors and there's no way to remove these regions. Great app overall, though.

Beyond impressed. Way more advanced than Roombas, hands down. The app is extremely intuitive and the hardware was easy to set up. What sold me on it was the mop drying. Without that, you either need to remember to remove it to dry or let it get stinky and gross. The dock I purchased managed all of this Edit: would love to have routines where I can specify zones. Currently can only do them manually

This app is generally good. My main gripe is not being able to click the room name when selecting rooms; sucks on small rooms. Other than that, they have made good improvements over the years and I am a Robotock fan. My biggest compliment is their decision to make the machines modular and easy to repair. High 5! Great app overall and updates have focused on customer feedback. Keep up the great work!

The mapping feature works perfectly. it saves time and effort, keeping the house super clean and smelling fresh all the time with a push of a button or setting up a schedule. Maintenance is very is to a minimum and effortless, I do wish they had a trade-in option and be more competitive on the price. besides, the last things mentioned it is perfect!

We are so impressed! Setup was extremely fast (~15 mins) and instructions were clear. It's very user-friendly, fast and hasn't gotten stuck once! So far, it does a great job. Our floors are predominantly hardwood with throw rugs spread around. It hasn't had any problems cleaning the large ones or transitioning between the two floor types. The smaller rugs I just pick up. We're very happy with the purchase of our Roborock S8 Pro Ultra. What a work saver it's been for us!!

Jeesh this took forever to connect to wifi. I'm a very tech savvy person with decades of networking experience. No amount of network and phone fiddling would allow it to connect to roborock app. I had to create an account with the "mi home" app, add it to their app, reboot it off the dock, reconnect to dock, update its firmware, and then reset wifi before it would finally connect to this app. That's shameful for a $400 vacuum. Do better roborock.

I love it. Really. But it got itself into a few situations that it couldn't get out of. It climbed easily over the base bar of a tray table we have set up in the office, but it couldn't climb back over to get back out. And after being rescued it did the thing that required rescuing a couple more times. Nevertheless, it's basically brilliant, and I love the app. I love that it sends me messages on my phone when it needs my help. I can't give it 5 stars, but 4 isn't enough. More like 4.5 or 4.75.

Used to be better. Lately for the past 6 mos or so it hasn't wanted to connect to the Internet even though our Internet didn't change. It just suddenly didn't work. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled, relogged in, reset wifi, and it still won't connect. It also doesn't pick up well, even with new brushes and cleaned sensors. It was just above mediocre when it was new and now a couple years later it's not worth the electricity it takes to charge it. Disappointing

The app is not very smooth. It will not mark my rooms as clean able space so i can't select it in the app. The app tells me to do something to fix the problem but the solution is not actually there. I can't select a grey map space and make it a room manually. I waste lots of time trying to make this app do what it is supposed to do. One of my hallways has a baby gate too. The mop can't seem to map on both side of that gate if you disturbed the mapping process. They need to fix that simpleproblem

Love the room sequence cleaning latest addition, thank you, one of the best features!!! What i would like also added is to select a zone to be re-mapped, if let's say you have a big livingroom and square feet coverage or hall, it will scan it and sometimes distort it diagonally. I would like to be able to fix that without having to re-map everything else. Thank you Devs!
