The app works well with my TCL Roku TV. I do wish that the Roku Controls and the TV controls were on 1 page. It is a bit frustrating to switch from one page to the other. Having 1 page to control everything would be a lot easier and and smoother. We have opted to use this app as oppose to the TV remote due to a dog that like to chew them up and a child that likes to hide them.

Doesn't always connect. My phone is on the same network as my TV, yet sometimes the app doesn't work. I've tried turning Wi-Fi on and off, turning off the tv and turning it back on, restarting my phone, clearing app cache, etc. Nothing works and it doesn't connect. Then the next day or so it magically works again. I don't know what the issue is, but if they're gonna make you pay for basic features, they can at least make sure the app works properly.

No problems yet! I go to my mom's and she's always switching things around. Np, I just whip out my phone and watch TV! Edit: For the last six months, it constantly refuses to connect to routers. It's tiring, having to soft boot routers to pick it back up. It's not only one router, either.

Really sleek remote, much more intuitive and better organized than the official Roku app. Only thing missing is a way to play audio over headphones, and a feature I wish existed would be to control the volume while the screen is off (which doesn't exist in the official app anyway). Regardless, it's still totally worth buying the full version.

I bought the volume addon (which is stupid that you have to buy something that only changes the volume on your tv) and was met with the realization that it does not work. I demand a refund, not only because the app failed to tell me that it only works for roku TV's, but I find it so money hungry that this app locks away certain features (for example the volume key) behind a 2 dollar purchase. Overall, you would be better off buting the actual remote as apposed to this sham of an app.

Pretty good app it responds fast to my touch and i like that. It works well. The only reason I rated it a 3 was because, It would connect and disconnect to my roku. This is really irritating therefore it got a 3. Another reason is I dont really understand the fees also. I bought the one for volume and turning the app on and off. The power button doesn't really work that well it only turns it off and not on. Dispite that it is a pretty good app.

This app does work that is true, but the problem comes from the "premium" features. I'll just say this, there are tons off roku and smart TV remote apps that let you do stuff like choose channel from a list and turn volume up and down for FREE. It is a basic function of these apps heck EVEN THE ROKU APP DOES IT FOR FREE. to pay 2 dollars to turn volume up and down and an additional 2 dollars to choose a media app is a very scummy way to make money off this. Basic features behind a pay wall? Ok.

I love how convenient this app is. I swipe the app from my lock screen and the remote automatically pops up connected to the TV whereas the official Roku app makes you reconnect constantly and opens to a home screen. The voice feature doesn't work for me, but I'm not concerned about just that one thing. If I really want to use the voice feature U can open the official app, but I really haven't needed to with how easy Roku is to navigate.

Everytime I click the down button, it goes down and keeps going down and I cant stop it. Few times, I click a button and it continuously says "cant connect " It's a hassle and I cant deal with it. Thank god I just ordered a replacement remote but until then I downloaded the Roku app and that works amazing! Alot of work needs to be done with this app.

This is one of those apps I should have tried before I buyed. While the concept is excellent, the app itself isn't. It controlled my Roku for 5 minutes then decided for whatever reason that it wouldn't. I got nothing but a constant pop-up that it wouldn't connect to my Roku. About 10% of the time it controls the volume and the rest it just gives that pop-up. Buying this app at this point is a mistake but hopefully it will improve in the future.

lost my roku tv remote for a few days and wondered if I could find an app that could act as a stand in. tried a few that wouldn't work and then found this little guy tapped install and 10 seconds later I had a d-pad on my screan and could navigate through my TVs menus and apps no problem. as long as I was connected to the wifi I didn't even have to sync the tv. it just worked. now for the reason I didn't give it 5 stars. power button, volume buttons, roku channels are locked behind a pay wall.

I paid for the Pro Features because it said (Adjust volume, power, TV channels & input.) what it doesn't tell you until after you pay is that it only works on Roku TV and not any other kind of TV. The reason I paid for the pro features was to be able to control TV and roku with one remote. Don't like this app and will be trying to get a refund on the Pro Features.

Great until it wasn't, which was less than 24, hours after installing it. It impressed me at first. It needed no 'pairing' like most remotes do. Installed it and it worked perfectly. But this morning it said it couldn't connect to my Roku. I kept changing angles nothing helped. I decided to clear it's cache but it doesn't have a cache?. So I'm going to UNINSTALL it. Try another Roku remote app, till I can buy a new Roku.

Very nice Roku remote app. Still, after a couple of years of complaining, it still doesn't save device custom names. Tap the pencil edit icon, change name to Living Room, save. Come back later and it's changed right back to the device's default name. Not really an issue if you only have one device. I have three devices and it's hard to remember the default names of them to tell which is which. Also, the developer does not answer emails. I've sent several.

Probably the least annoying free Roku remote there is. No overly intrusive ads that cover things, start playing video randomly, make you click exit (like some of the other ones.) I don't use the official Roku app, because it always stops working after a short while, until you exit then select the Roku device again. No 3rd party apps seem to have this bug. So, living with unobtrusive advertisements is a small price to pay.

WOW. Downloaded it and it worked immediately. I didn't wven have to tell it to connect, it just did it. But that's not even the best part. The best part is that this app is JUST A REMOTE! The first-party Roku app is clogged with useless junk, ads, and it has to rediscover your Roku device every time you open the app. This app is clean, simple, and works out of the box. Absolutely worth a few bucks to unlock pro features, simply to support this developer. Awesome job.

Had it only a few days. So far, really useful. I hope I can trust it to continue to work! The touchpad went blank one day and I had to reinstall-- now OK except I still have to use my real remote to turn one of my Roku TVs on/off. Works fine on the other one. Not sure what is meant by "sound effects" so I leave them on. Can't find anywhere in the app to get explanations-- "Help" is not helpful for getting more specific info about this or other features.

Best Roku app out there! I tried one that played an ad after each button was pressed (within a very short lapse), and the "official" Roku remote app disconnected from my Roku device everytime I left the app (including when my phone would go to "sleep" mode after you leave it for a while). I will say though, this was the first app I tried and not having the keyboard is what made me try the other apps, but I came back, full circle, only to be in LOVE with this app!

It stopped connecting even after it just reconnected I know my TV isn't the problem buts the app. This is because the gosh darn device has been on for about 30 seconds same as my phone the app won't connect I've Uninstaller and reinstalled and it's still not working. My dog broke my remote so I thought "I've had this app for years it should still work" and then I open it the next day after and it says "could not connect" there were no power interruptions or nothing and still now its not working.

The "free trial" wants $20 on faith that this isn't just another in a huge lineup of scam apps. If you want MORE than a physical remote costs you might want to demonstrate that it works amazingly well before holding your hand out. Totally sus. UPDATE: just returned from Family Dollar where $6.95 got me a remote that works. I could have spent $20 on an app that proved that it worked for a couple of days before asking for such a large amount with zero hardware outlay, no shipping, etc.
