FREE OFFLINE MAPS
You can download our hiking and biking maps for free and use them offline. You can also plan your own routes and record your adventures.

You have the choice: Unlock individual guides or get them all in the low-priced Gold subscription. This gives you access to all tours from Rother, all premium maps from freytag & berndt, Swisstopo and the satellite map. You can save tours and locations in your own lists, so you can keep track of everything.

Everything is in German, the guides section is as expensive as the physical books are, and the only usable component of the app is the GPS function on an outdoor map. Too bad this cannot be saved offline...

UPDATE 2017 Hello Rother! We have just had people coming to our farm with BRAND NEW app with GPS points. They still direct people to come up to our doorstep and walk on our field. This is so easy to fix and if you have problems with what the best route is then please contact me and I will send you a map showing the correct route. This is your customers that are getting the wrong information and are not so happy. Please correct this ASAP!

Seit Update ist die Navigation in der App wirklich miserabel. Ich bekomme einfach keine Guides angezeigt.

Ich habe einige Rother Bücher gekauft und die gpx Dateien importiert. Nach dem Update sind sie alle weg, Import ohne ein Account funktioniert nicht.

Trotz gekauftem Guide funktioniert die Hälfte ohne Abo nicht. Bug: Unter "Guide" hinzugefügte Favoriten können unter "Routes" ohne Abo nicht angezeigt werden. Ohne Abo kein GPX-Export. Versteckt unter "Chapters" - "Wandern auf ..." ist aber der Downloadcode wie im Buch. Auf Touren wird per Nummern aus Buch verwiesen (die in App fehlen), statt sie zu verlinken -> statt Guide in App Buch oder E-Book kaufen.

Rubbish, even if I bought the book, I can't use the app for a certain route. Will never buy anything from Rother in the future.

Edited: My purchased guides are now back. The updated version of the app is certainly so much better.

Still furious how Rother takes functionalities away from that you paid for. I wanted to download gpx data from my paid guides, but the app tells me it's only for gold members. I paid for these guides, and if I had bought the ebook instead of the in-app guides, I would not have had any of the problems that also other people mentioned. No reaction from Rother at all. Stay away from these thieves, people.

I bought the physical guidebook which includes a password to access maps inside, how do I use this password? The app is asking me for payment again to download the relevant maps... I managed to download gps maps through pc and import them on my phone.

It doesn't have a single trekking in Bulgaria - land full of mountains and really good trekking paths and not a single in this app. Sorry but can not use and recommend. Too fixed on Germany

Having the guides in the phone is great. But translating app interface to english and allowing to paste german tour descriptions to Google Translate would be very helpful.

I can't give more than 2 stars. In my area and for what we are looking for it is equal to zero. I can't find any trips for my location. The app may be good but not now. It needs more routes and places.

All 3 books with codes, which i legally paid, are now dissapeared after update!!! They now offer me some gold subscription which doesnt work neither... Technical problems, can you imagine, they can start to have technical problems innthe moment when person really need it while on a mountain!!!

Really bad: you purchase a book, download the maps on your phone and each time you want to organise another hike, the app pretends you have nothing downloaded. When it does work, if you are in a zone without mobile connection, you cannot use the map.

Dissapointed with the new version. Great that it is now in English, but it has lost some functionality: Tour numbers are gone, but references inside description are still with number. No way to know whic tour it is; Elevation profile does not allow to follow it on the trail (other apps let you select a specific point on the elevation profile and it shows you where that is on the trail); Arrows to indicate direction of tour have disappeared, annoying; It can never find any tours on the region
