Before update app was better! Now lucky to find song, open, tap hoping to open it all the way so I can zoom in to sing along. Zoom in ok, but can't scroll to the next verse so pinch back out, scroll down, zoom back in, try to find which word we're on, found it, sing a few words, pinch back out, scroll down, find the word, etc, over & over again missing most of the song and losing the enjoyment of participating in singing the hymn. Developers make changes to justify job but not really improve app

I selected a hymn in the app while at church. Apparently, the hymn needed to be downloaded again. Because us non-leadership types have been excluded from church building Wi-Fi, this had to be done via mobile data and I had a weak signal. The download wasn't complete until the hymn was almost over. It's ridiculous that I need to re-download content repeatedly on the same device. The more I use Church apps, the more I prefer using the physical copy.

Update: when switching to other languages, the music between music only and music and voice feature doesn't work properly. This has been happening for over a year now, and it never got fixed. The apps sometimes has some problem, and I have to uninstall it and install it again to make it work. Besides that, it is awesomes

I would have rated this higher a week ago, but the newest update is not a good one. Now, the print is way too small for a phone and can't be zoomed in on Android. Sans serif is easier to read but can only be used in medium size, so not a significant improvement. The main menu layout looks like it was cobbled together, and the color scheme is hard to look at.

Update *** Latest update affects Playlist, it no longer allows me to reorder tracts, I have to delete the whole thing & start over from scratch! Too bad this feature was removed in the latest update..lowered to 3 stars! As Music Chairman in a very small Branch, because no one is available to play the piano or the organ, we use this for our Sacrament Meeting accompaniment! (FOR ALL OUR MUSIC!)

After installing, wait for the app to download the song books before searching. Includes the main Hymn book, Children's song book, and youth theme book from the 2018 Mutual for youth. The songs include the song notes. It support phone rotation to orient the songs portrait or landscape. My favorite feature is the pinch to zoom. The detail is very crisp, not a low resolution scan. My Galaxy S9+ with full resolution is very sharp with this app.

I love having this option when there are not enough or any hymnbooks. Sadly it seems more & more hymns are not being allowed to be viewed digitally due to copyrights. I'm giving 4 stars because the ability to double tap and make the hymn full screen (to get rid of the extra stuff on the borders) has been disabled. It's hard to see enough of the selected hymn without that capability.

The latest update has the menu bars on the screen at all times, even while in a song. In landscape mode on a phone they take up a combined half of the screen, and you can't even see one complete line of music, as either the top of bottom is cut off, and there's no way to change the font size or remove the bars. Edit: seems to be fixed now

Since the LDS Church saw fit to do away with musical notations for their hymn app this is the only app worth having. It has not only the hymns but also the primary children's song book and its supplement. You can choose to play a recorded version of a song, with or without words, or look at the words, with or without musical notation. I have never had any problems with it. I love this app.

I always wanted to listen to church music on my phone, and then I found this app today! This is really helpful, and it has beautiful music that helps me feel the spirit. It is very calming, and I would recommend laying down with headphones while listening. I think the only difficulty I have is that there is 10 extra seconds on every song that are uneeded. But that is not a huge problem. Thank you for creating this app!

There's every hymn to see the words & sheet forms for which most of them play, it has youth theme music, which is great, & in both forms & most songs you have the option to hear music or music w/ words. But on Android versions, there's 2 crucial features that it lacks: the option to autoreplay the selected song & the OPTION to play the next song after the current song is done (it needs to be an option you can turn off to not continue playing.) It Needs to be just like how it is on IOS versions.

There is a lot to like about this app, it has all of the hymns with the notes and even recording to sing to. I have been quite disappointed though because more times than not the music doesn't load for me. I select the hymn I want and i look at a blank screen. Most times it doesn't even load by the time the song is over in sacrament meeting. That aspect of it is very disappointing to me. If this app worked every time, I would absolutely love it.

This app is wonderful, however there are a few unfortunate flaws. It tends to redownload all the hymns every time I need it, which often takes longer than the hymn itself lasts. I just need one page--not the entire hymnal. Also, it is jarring that the copyrighted hymns are not included; I wish it were possible for the Church to work out some sort of agreement for that. But otherwise the app is wonderful, and it's foreign language options are an incredible step up from past versions.

I works fairly well but I keep running into strange issues with it. Like this last one was that all the hymns wouldn't show the sheet music and had an error about not being able to download content without a network connection (I had both cell and WiFi). I seem to have fixed it by uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Looks like it didn't properly update the sheet music part correctly from one app version to another.

This app has been a wonderful app! It has been really helpful for when we were doing church at home and when I needed to feel the peace. There are few bugs that I would like to point out. I made a playlist not long before the bug and I could listen to it but now if I tap on my playlist, the app kicks me out. Another thing is that when I try to type in the hymns number, or type the name of the song, it won't let me until I exit and turn off my phone. I would love if these bugs can be fixed.

I love having easy access to church music in both sheet music and audio format. The one problem I have is that, unlike the LDS Gospel app, LDS Music doesn't prevent screen darkening, so I need to keep tapping the screen to keep the music visible. EDIT: removed a star because every so often, the app stops displaying music and gives an error to check my connection, even when the connection is fine. The only fix seems to be reinstalling the app, which is tedious.

This is a great app that could use a few improvements. A full-screen mode would be nice and the "play" button is very large and can block the music. The sheet music for an entire category (Hymns, Children's Music, etc) is downloaded when you view a song. I like this, but a little more control would be nice for people who don't have much space on their phone. An option to download the music would also be nice.

I concur with most everything that has been said about this app. For whatever reason you took a decent app and hired someone to redo it and pretty much all of the changes made the app worse. You can no longer have the catalog saved on your phone, so you need to download each song ever time you open it, which takes too long. You can no longer do full screen viewing. Why was this change necessary? Please fix. Update. Most of these issues have been fixed. Seems to work fine now. Thank you.

Edit: The development team is fantastic! It's almost like they read my review, and worked towards fixing my one problem with the app! It appears that the songs are all on my phone now, and I can see the sheet music even when offline. I love the ability to adjust music size now. It's super impressive! I sing children's songs to my children every night. It allows me to access the hymns as needed. I wish it allowed me permanently download the songs onto my phone so they load faster.

As a primary music leader for our church, I use this app frequently. With the latest update, I noticed that the numbering for the Children's Songbook has been altered for at least one song. There may be other songs, but "Dare to Do Right" is 64 on the app, but the Children's Songbook it is on page 158. Perhaps until the future release of the new hymn book, the numbering should stay the same.
