Why did the name change? Especially from something simple and catchy to something long and complicated? Also, why is there no red dot indicating when you have a message waiting. This was an awesome feature of Classtag, but it's no longer available.

Not sure why my review was deleted? This app is terrible. I turned off emails from it because I don't want spam but now I cannot receive emails from my child's teacher through it. Notifications at 530am for no reason - unacceptable. There's a notification from my teacher right now and I cannot see it. It won't load. When it loads, the ads are overwhelming and the app is impossible to navigate.

I truly hate this app. It is super clunky, with very slow loading times. Much worse is how difficult it is to navigate. The content is nearly always obscured by ads. In fact, about 80% of the time the loading times out after ads are loaded but before the teacher's content loads. I have to start and restart the app multiple times, every time. I can also only load the teacher's content if I click the link in her text notification, content never loads if I just open the app on its own. Horrible.

I absolutely HATE this app. It is nothing but adds and glitches. Because of the ads being the first several things on the app you see, you have to scroll past the ads to find where the teachers posted. It provides zero notification for when people post, so I miss slot of important things/events, and it just plain sucks. What happened to sending home papers and letters? At least then I knew what was needed, expected, or coming up.

This is the worst app for schools to use. I have used class dojo, remind and bloomz without issue. School has not even officially started and this app is already beyond frustrating in the little bit that has been done so far. The app itself typically takes several minutes to load, if using the website it loads faster, but even after it's loaded between the ads and the horrible layout it's still just horrible to use. This platform needs to be removed as an option for any school or teacher to use.

For a month it worked perfect but since the end of September my notifications hasn't been working so I missed alot of stuff,I didn't even realize it u til I went to message my son's teacher. I was upset at all the stuff I wasn't aware of & had missed out on. I haven't messed with my settings everything is on & it days it needs updating but its updated so I'm not sure what's going on with the app but I hope they get this issue resolved ASAP as it'd important for us parents.

I absolutely love this app. It's a great and easy way for myself as an administrator of a daycare center and the teachers to communicate with our families. Since using this app is no longer send paper notes home which saves me tons already. Parents can communicate with staff after the center is closed and vice versa. I am able to send reminders like don't forget diapers or sheets. I can write an announcement and set date and or time for future. I can share pictures of children at play and parents can share as well. I can go back and edit or delete information. This app is terrific I especially like not having to share our personal numbers with parents but it's connected to our personal device. I would like the option to filter first what families would like to share before it's shared and it would be nice to be able to upload a video clip and some appropriate emojis but the app is amazing. We used it for parties and checklists. Parent conference time schedules. Best app ever. The staff is quick with helpful response and we can earn things just for using. I especially like that is free.

It is a nice way to communicate with your children's teachers. However, there are much better apps out there for that purpose. This app has way too many advertisements. It also emails me with advertisements, which I really hate! When I try to access a message that has been sent from my child's teacher, I get an ad pop up! I am concerned about my child and what is happening at school that their teacher would contact me in the middle of the day, and I have to go through an advertisement first!

Full of ads and they regularly email you junk, even when you select unsubscribe from all. Edit: I don't care about the ads in the app as I am rarely in the app. My 1 star rating is because of all the junk email that comes from having to use the app even though I've selected unsubscribe. If anyone ever has to use this for their child's class, sign up with a throw away account to save yourself from their spam.

Overall, I like using classtag to communicate with parents. For the most part it is easy to use and if you do have issues, they were always helpful and quick to respond. However, I really disliked all the advertising that was included in everything: the emails sent to parents, the app itself, and emails to me. It was too much and I felt awkward having my parents have to see that all the time. I also didn't find the reward system all that great. That's why only 4 stars and I switching apps.

Schools, avoid this app. Parents will have to scroll through two screens worth of ads to get to the tragically terrible UI. (There is a right way to do an ad-supported app - this isn't it.) The content is poorly laid out with terrible colors (including all the main text). I've used Class Dojo and Remind, both are better choices. I can't wait for the school to drop this app.

Ad heavy, does not run smoothly, redirects you to a unrelated link(Walmart, Brother's Pizza, ect.) when trying to open a .pdf from our teacher every time, and stopped receiving notifications when app was posted to or a direct message sent(app is up to date, so not the problem). If this app worked the way it was supposed to, it would be great. Have to use it though, so it would be great if they spent more time on development of the app and not focused on the ads.

This app is full of features, however it is very difficult to navigate. It feels like the features take a back seat to the advertisements. I appreciate that it keeps the service free but the text for messages is excessively small and the buttons are not suited for a phone screen. I want to like this app and I could tolerate the ads if the UX was half decent.

I've been using classtag for at least five years now logging into the website on a laptop is not so bad. The mobile version on the other hand is horrible. I've never had a great experience with it. I've done lots of troubleshooting with the app to figure out a normal balance. The app crashes and is always working so hard that it just gives up. I don't receive classtag notifications because it keeps crashing and it never updates worst app ever on my phone.

This app has more ads than teacher announcements and I'm receiving a ton of marketing emails rather than actual notifications. It's very slow to load. I don't have the option to remove classes or at least switch default class; teachers have switched platforms. In 15 years of parent-teacher communication, this is the most difficult one I've ever used.

The mobile app is AWFUL! If you don't have the latest & greatest phone with all the bells & whistles, skip this app. When I installed it (September 2023), it worked okay for about a week; then, the issues started. First, I couldn't make "announcements" from the mobile app. I found a work around. Then, the app stopped sending notifications to me from my parents. Then, the app was so very slow to load. Then after a forced update, it stopped working! I uninstalled the app December 2023.

App is slow to load anything and sometimes doesn't load a page correctly. The interface is busy, which makes it difficult to navigate. It also has sent out past messages, confusing some of my parents. I also get way too many notifications from staff. I do like that there's a lot of features and no word limit to sending out announcements. However, I will not be a returning user after this school year.

This is app is annoying. When using mobile version, which it's intended for, it's extremely slow to open, to submit a message, to retrieve messages, to click through the sections, and you can't erase what you've already seen, I don't want to continue to see who sponsors a class or the app, we should be able to erase what we've already seen in all catergories. It's not user friendly at all. It's a bit confusing as well.

I originally gave two stars because it takes so long to load anything. Now I'm experiencing other problems. I receive messages from my parents hours after it's been sent. I don't like that! Also it always refreshes or just kicks out right in the mirror of typing messages. Some of them are lengthy, depending on what I'm trying to communicate with my parents, and y have to retype all over again. I should be alot more efficient especially for this to be an app for parent/teacher communication.

I love the idea of this app. It's been great communicating with parents and having them sign up for parent conferences. However, the app stopped notifying me when I received new messages. It also doesn't always load them when I open the app. It makes it harder to communicate consistently with parents and I was hoping it would alleviate emailing, but I still get the same amount of emails! Hopefully this can be fixed asap .
