Wow this app sucks. To begin with, you basically can't do anything unless you pay for a subscription. But don't waste your money, because it is extremely glitchy, constantly crashing and taking forever to respond to simple things like transferring a photo from one album to another. Messages are often not sent and you don't get notified of that.

Of all the dating apps I've tried, this one seems to be consistently the best- handsdown! Although it suffers from the same issue most apps do of users not writing back after you reach out to them (which is technically a people issue and not an app issue), the ratio for this on Scruff is much lower. Which is awesome! All in all, I've used Scruff as both a paid member and as a free user, and the experience is very consistent (no matter what). So I reccomend it highly in both cases. T-

Not my favorite app but I decided recently to give it another try. I keep getting an error message that it can't save my profile. Been trying for over a week multiple times a day. Have tried contacting support multiple times and have heard nothing from anyone and the problem hasn't been fixed. Just stay away from this one because if you have any problems clearly "support" is just a word they use. Because they sure don't help you with anything.

it has a better range of guys and features that make it worth getting, but the issue is the basic features locked behind membership rates. like being able to go back to old messages. say you haven't heard from someone in a while, well hopefully it wasn't too long if so you cant message them if its been a couple of days because youll need pro to reach out.

Simply doesn't work anymore. I have been getting connection errors for weeks, no fixes with latest update. I'm paying for a subscription I don't get to use. Contact customer support and weeks later and still no response. Update:. Issue fixed. They told me that I had to go clear my data. Still waiting to see if they will credit my account for the month I was unable to use the app.

Had some issues with Pro features when I first signed up. However after two sessions, support fixed it. Great looking app. Lots of features. Great selection of men. Easy to use once you figure all the features out, and become familiar with how the interface works. It's been a good app for me so far, and better than some others out there.

New interface is worse on Android. The background is now a blurry bunch of colors instead of black. There is added spacing between each person profile in all grids and they increased the size of the grid images yet shrunk the font and color dot (online, offline, miles away etc). I swear, they literally tinkered with everything and made each aspect worse. The old UI was way more efficient. No waisted spacing , easier to read and navigate . Boost never worked.Once again a needless inferior update.

One issue guys, first you should know I'm running Android 8.0.0 on a Moto Z Play (original, not the 2). When responding to a message using the system's reply function in the notifications dashboard, the notification sound for receiving something new (message, woof, etc.) in Scruff plays. This shouldn't be happening and is frustrating. It gives the incorrect impression that something new has been received in the app, when in fact no new messages, woofs etc. have been received.

Good app. Nice picture size and quality. Good way to meet like minded individuals or groups if you're into that. Gave 3 stars because they recently took away ability to screen shots chat thread and gallery. They already have disappearing pictures available and they should leave the decision up to the user whether they want pics or chats available to screen shot. It makes it more difficult to save contact info onto the device. Now you have to write it down before it disappears into the thread.

Don't pay for it. Scruff terminated my pro account this morning without explanation. It's in the middle of a subscription period. It still shows as active in my subscriptions through Google, but I was informed it had expired and those features disabled. I've met one two people (in person) in a year on the app...I don't think it's helpful or good for me--and now that I'm finding it poorly managed, too, I can't justify having it around. I'll update this if they fix (or even acknowledge it).

It's ok. there's a modicum of respectability when compared to grinder, but unfortunately my experience that leads to a lot of ghosting. Travel features are useful as long as you're not trying to speak a different language. you cannot copy text, at least in the Android app, in profiles to paste into a translation app. The seriously hinders trying to find locals to meet when their profile is not in your native language. The inability to copy paste within a profile as a serious shortcoming.

The app just stopped working over the last two days. No feedback from scruff support. I have a pro membership that I am unable to use. Messages show as delivered but the recipients are not actually receiving them. The app is freezing and becomes unresponsive. I've tried on WiFi, on my cellular network, alternate WiFi and installed on a different phone. Still having the same issue. I've already opened a request with support. If the issue is not resolved I will be canceling my membership.

This new redesign makes no sense. Message grouping and layouts are now confusing as hell. The "woof" icon on profiles and the cruise button are almost the exact same icon and location! This had led to lots of confusing and accidental interactions. Is there a way to go back? Otherwise, it's too difficult to navigate anymore..... Why use it if it makes no sense and you've cluttered it all up! Bad UX and usability choices all around.

Support for the app sucks. Haven't been able to log in for two weeks now, did the trouble-shooting, reached out to support, didn't hear from them for 5 days, and when I did all I was told was to "turn on your Wi-Fi, force-close the app, and restart." Lol, I'd already done that, but I did it again just for the exercise. When I replied saying that I still couldn't access my account, the response I got was that my issue was deemed solved and the case was closed. Very terse unfriendly and impersonal

As of 3-16, the apps connection to the server has been shaky at best. I've had freezes, crashes, unsent messages, and even a few glitched photo uploads, which have ruined multiple interactions with other users. The whole thing is a buggy mess, and support is unresponsive. The ones that have responded suggested that I pay for their subscription for premium features and support. Functionality as advertised should not be a premium feature!

Update: I contacted support on the app, after no response I messaged again asking for a response. Then the support question was closed. Nobody ever responded and the issue persists. Original: So we can't access our photo library anymore when picking profile photos? Only recent photos and albums are available which doesn't allow me to seach for photos. It's been like this for months.

Longtime user, but this app has really gone downhill. The ads are less intrusive than grindr, but the other limitations on free profiles make it largely unusable...so not many people use it - which makes the Pro level not worth it either. The new layout is a mess. People create profiles to sell massages, with the exact same photos over and over, and Scruff just allows it. They'll respond to this review with some boilerplate saying to contact them, but that's bull, they don't do anything.

Good app, I like the "interested in meeting?" feature; it's always fun to tap that button and get the "it's a match!" message, or get notified when someone else taps the button on you. The filtering options for "nearby" are nice, it would be lovely for Scruff Match to respect the same filters, or have something to help focus the matchmaking algorithm (with maybe an "interested in me" checkbox that could override other filters). In short, Match just needs to feel less like an everything bagel.

Pretty decent app for a hookup site. It functions similarly to grindr, but I like that it has a bit more like a matching system (Tinder style) and a spot where you see who likes you with no blurred faces. Generally, it provides a lot for free users. The reason for 4 stars is just due to preferences. The filter system is limited, and the demographic is mainly middle-aged and older men. There is nothing wrong with that, but I wouldn't recommend it to younger guys who want someone their age.

Kind of a decent app, but they've recently been getting more and more persistent with advertising things like boosts and their other platform, even if you have Pro. You can disable ads in settings and just opt for "critical scruff alerts" but that apparently means that they can annoy me about purchasing boosts and other things that I have no interest in, with no way to dismiss them. If I'm giving you money, I expect to not be annoyed by things like this.
