A game of its Era Its a challenging story from beginning to end not many may be able to complete; but to the die hard and classic gamers out there its simply amazing experience to have been there from start when this game was out. now that my age is reminding me of how much I struggle playing this game on console, but in the end I did enjoy that time spent even so, I wonder if there is still so fun to have and relive from my past enjoyment again maybe its soundtrack and gameplay that bring me...

This game is actually good and the controls are fine but when I discovered that there are 4 Item / Skill shortcut, The game just became easier despite the lower fixed frame rates. Gold drops are very abundant and a character does not die if another character Cast a healing spell on the injured character and is being hit by its enemies to 0 HP before the spell is completed.

Script is nearly identical to the original which is great for nostalgia. Controls are a bit delayed and queue up which disrupts the flow and control of combat and character alike. Can now run up and down stairs which is a good thing for the game. AI command grid is clearer but provides less options than before; AI will keep away, but not attack and keep away (I may have missed the option, however). Don't know if it still gives stats. Mostly improved graphics, some models different.

Over all game worked for me all the way to the mana fortress. Healing magic lvl went from (7) to (null). And not a bigger issue but the javelin. Woulnt upgrade even tho i had orbs Thankfully I have the game on SNES so I was able to beat the game. O and loved in the credits that quality assurance the wasn't a peraon who was in the group so I assume quality wasn't checked but im going to attempt again and try to to max out magic and weapons.

Tucked underneath an era when I began to dabble with Chrono Trigger & FFVI, I never got around to this game. After Adventures of Mana, I was eager to try, and it did not disappoint. For long time gamers tired of endless grinding for meaningless loot and PayToPlay power ups, I highly recommed this game, an elegant return to a simple story with straightforward progress.

If I go into options, it instantly throws me off the app. If I start new game I get to choose a name, but as soon as I press to proceed it throws me off the game. Whatever it is, I hope you fix it because within then next 24 hours I'll be uninstalling if the issue is still occuring, nobody needs to download a game to find out that they can't even play it because the developers couldn't figure it out 😬

After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical but downloaded it anyways. I am not having any of the problems that some of the other users we're having so maybe has to do with your device but I'm unsure. All I know is I am happy with the download as I am about an hour into it and it sure brings back great memories from my childhood. I have also downloaded Chrono Trigger and I'd also like to see Breath of Fire and lufia and Super Mario RPG legend of the Seven Stars

really enjoying this version of the holy sword legend ( Japanese original name) it is bright cheery and fun to play i will say that it doesn't run as well as the original snes/ super famicom version but for the low price i cannot complain 😊.if you are using just your phone for gaming then please give it a try you won't regret it plus it has controller support and if i were you i would stay away from the touch control lol it's not pleasant. thank you very much.

I'd give it five stars if it was a direct port. A few of the most important aspects have been disabled. For example when you pause in the snes version to use magic you can pause as many times as you want... In this version it stops you for a second which allows bosses to kill you, so unbelievably frustrating, you lose a player with full mp because you couldnt pause in time!! Better off with an snes emulator

Poorly made, an insult for the original, one of the best games ever made. Not even a user manual, took me an hour to figure out how to use items and weapon changes. For items, you have to press your guy for 2 seconds and release... for weapons you do the same, in the equip menu but you move your guy's head towards the top or bottom but if you go too high, you get a phone menu... the same way you move icons around you phone's home page, which means no hand shaking or it won't work... L-rd forbid you have MS. Testing was obviously not in the budget, as are most all aaa title games today. The controls are awful, made for a pre-pubescent teenage girl with needle like fingers... and I are a small man. Gimme plain old optional arrows. The game is amazing once you figure out the controls.

TLDL: great nostalgia trip; decent price compared to others; no problems encountered; personally recommended | This is a great trip back in time. Love being able to play it on the go. It's still as good as ever and I kinda like this art style a bit more. Even though a lot of reviews said it's got some issues, after an entire fully grinded playthrough, I haven't noticed anything wrong at all. And this isn't even as expensive as many other games on the store by Square Enix. (cut off due to limit)

I took a risk and bought the app, despite the reviews saying there were a bunch of errors; I figured I could ask for a refund within the first day if I encountered any problems. It's nearly a week later, and I am SO glad I bought this game while it was on sale. There are no problems with the game (so far, and I'm about 6 hours in), and it's just as beautiful, just as fun, as I remember it being. The controls are easy to figure out although switching between the three main characters can sometimes be a pain, especially during the frenzy of boss battles. The menu ring system, when not in boss battles, is still ingenious. This is one of the very few RPGs I actually enjoy grinding XP for. SO glad I got this game.

Controls make the game unplayable. Left is up sometimes. Holding attack charges you weapon except when it doesn't. I lost all input several times, even in town. I don't have any problems with the other games I play that use that control style, so it's not my phone. Waste of money. Never buying another mobile Square game ever again.

Update: I increased the rating because the save system is working but the game has to install in the main storage of your phone even though the game runs just fine on a external sd card but you can't save your game. This is not the best port of the game to play but if you buy it on a sale is okay. If you want a better portable version, there's the collection of mana available on the switch that has the first 3 games in the mana series. SE please port that collection for everything.

Loved it years ago on the SNES, so I figured why not? Well this is why not: The graphics are choppy anytime you move around, controls are clunky, and there is a lovely bug where if you are hit, there's a good chance that you'll be locked in place for a while, still able to take more hits. This becomes a huge problem when your fighting two enemies who corner lock you and drop.you all 200 hp, plus the extra 200 you gained by using a healing item, killing you with no way to stop it. Literally. Zero. Ways. Out.

One of my SNES favs. The port only gets 3 stars. I'm running a Note 10, which emulates PS2, Wii, PSP, and everything else flawlessly with high settings. However, this port is a choppy mess. It feels like I'm trying to run the game on an old Nokia brick. The on-screen controls constantly clash with a controller, many times resulting in having to close the app to regain control. If they would just add an option to completely disable the on-screen controls it would improve this app substantially.

This game is a true classic. HOWEVER! 1. The menu pops up randomly when I haven't touched the menu screen. Annoying. 2. When I hold down the attack button, sometimes my character attacks multiple times instead of charging the attack. Not sure if this is just my phone or it is fixable from the developer's side. Edit: second phone does the same thing sometimes. 3. The AI is terrible. Please being back the AI system of the SNES version, where we can determine the frequency of attacks and the distance by which they attack. The AI just love to get killed or be useless. At least for the beginning of the game.

I played this game so much as a child it was an amazing find when I had a long haul flight coming up and needed some entertainment. Imagine my extreme frustration when I opened the game ready to pass the time in nostalgia-ville and I'm presented with a "can't validate purchase of game" error due to me being offline! Game is 100% unusable if it cannot talk to the servers despite essentially the whole game being downloaded locally. Absolutely ridiculous IMO as other Square games work fine. Fix!!!!

There are a lot of softlocks. These softlocks make you invulnerable, unable to hit enemies, and enemies like the final boss are unable to be targeted with important sword attacks. I never had the pleasure of finishing this game from my childhood. So, I figured why not buy this version. Well, I made it to the end of the game, but cannot finish, which is disappointing to say the least.

I've been extremely disappointed in this game. Seems most others notice the concerns with controls, albeit I have a few other issues: 1) The ring menu will essentially save sporadically to one previously used, and you cannot scroll down no matter what menu it's on you have to scroll up 2) The AI for your party is 10x worse than the original. 3) You require Internet connection to play the game .... 🤦♂️
