Update: the problem has been resolved. I'm back to loving the app now. Just hate that sometimes it glitches while logging in. Then I have restart the app. But great app none the less. I loved the app before the new update. Now it requires a one time passcode but won't let me enter the code. It keeps sending the code to my phone but the app won't let me enter it. It also won't let me go beyond that page, so the app is useless to me now.

I used this app for years. It's great, like having a teller in your pocket. I've used a lot of features such as transfer money between accounts, apply for advanced loan and even benefited from depositing a utility refund check by taking a picture of the front and back of the check (after signing the back, like regular), all within the app. Many great benefits, except for the warm smile and cheerful conversation of a teller, in person.

Edit: 9/20/19 The app just stopped working! I updated, uninstalled, reinstalled, but nothing works. The app either won't let me sign in or won't react to me selecting choices on the screen. Either way, I've uninstalled it again, probably permanently. -------------------- Original post: Finally!! I've been wanting a SECU app for a long time. This app is great, easy to navigate and read. Im glad they waited and made a decent app rather than rushing to release a mediocre app.

JUST downloaded. Works fine for basics like balance checking...BUT... WHEN is MOBILE CHECK DEPOSITING going to be AVAILABLE? It is a tad disappointing that this isn't an option, nor do we have info that it will, at any point, be rolled out. During these pandemic times, was it wrong for me to expect more? It is taking up space on my phone and is essentially useless, for me anyway, without mobile check depositing. Kudos on having a clean interface and user-friendly.

App is pretty basic, but easy to use. Really wish they'd add a mobile deposit. Unfortunately I can't use the app anymore as it crashes the phone every time I try to use it. Not sure what they did in the most recent update, but I wish I could go back a version. Update: these folks have an awesome app development team who reached out to me after I left a review stating that I could no longer get the app to work. It's working smoothly now (but I still wish they had mobile deposit!).

It Will Not Let Me Transfer Funds! I have tried uninstalling, clearing, data, cache, logging out, everything that I could. Every time I try to select an account to transfer, it cancels what I click and just sets it to the top account, it will not even let me select where to transfer to, because the "transfer from" was not a valid selection. Please let me know how to fix this.

The bank itself has lost a lot of ground in the past couple of years from what I've experienced. It's great that the app has check deposite but it takes days for it to be approved. My other bank accounts takes an hour or so. that used to be a credit union perk almost instant update and access to funds. Now SECU is in the dust and not even in site on that one. The interest rates are a joke also. Lowest I've got compared to the others which are all above 4.35%. Not really an excuse for that.

Slow 🐌 app. Since the last update this app has been really slow 🐌 to load. Please fix this. I did saw that you say I need to have an android 11 or newer for the app to work fast and having android 10 and older will work slower. Unfortunately, I don't spend money on phones like that. So you're forcing me to get a new phone for me to be able to use the app. WOW

I really like this app, for the most part. It's user friendly and convenient. Sad that the last update seemed to make all aspects (from logging in to remote deposit) super laggy/sluggish. It isn't enough to uninstall, but I use the app a lot less, opting for the website for most things.

Was good for a while. After the last update the app takes forever to load and I can't make payments anymore. Tried reinstalling it but no fix. I guess you have to have a newer phone based on some other recent reviews, although none of my other apps seem to have a problem with my old phone. You would think a banking institution would try to be more compatible. Just going to delete it now. August 2024

The new update has caused the app to no longer work after years of having no issues. It seems there's no solution for those of us using older phones. I'll probably get an automated response saying "sorry for the inconvenience" because they clearly don't want to solve the problem. Well I'm sorry I don't want to contribute to the cobalt crisis in Africa by buying a new phone every 2 years. I work 9-5 so its hard to get to the bank to make a deposit but i guess I'll have to make due. Disappointed.

I can no longer use this app after an update. It keeps saying it will be usable soon, but I never can. It has been 5 months. I wish I had never done the update. I've un-installed it, re-installed it. Nothing works. I hate this i want to be able to use my own banks app like I did before May 2024. What he'll is going on. Been waiting since May 2024 update!!!!!!!!! I have the latest Samsung Galaxy Ultra

What happened?! The app was working really well but every since the last update its very laggy, also when you select an option on the screen it goes to a black screen for a few seconds before actually taking care of your transaction. I dont like it at all. Feels like someone is tampering with the app. Please fix this issue!!!

The Secu app has taken a turn for the worse in the recent months. I'm waiting for an update and hoping it solves the SLUGGISHNESS of the response. Actions like just clicking between accounts can feel like they take 30+seconds and initiating money transfers is easily a 2 minute process, if it doesn't hang up in the middle and require an app restart. The convenience of the app is starting to be balanced by the frustrating response.

so slooooooowww to respond. I have a note 9 and it takes forever to go to the next screen. I know my phone is not the latest and greatest, but this app is the only one I've had a speed issue with. I usually end up giving up and going directly to the website through chrome and that works lickity split.

I've had SECU for years. I've never had a problem. Great to work with if you need assistance. In my experience they've always been helpful and have provided great customer service. I like they have many locations throughout the state and you can get service from any of them. Good experience with telephone customer service. I do really like you can get ahold of a SECU customer service representati 24 hours a day. I have dealt with multiple banks in the past. SECU surpasses their competitors.

Very easy to navigate. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because since the update I can't transfer within my acct on my mobile app. Called customer service and they couldn't tell me the problem. Yes I could go on website but mobile app was always better and of ease to use. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with same problem. When this issue is resolved I will gladly give 5stars
