The app shows current status of the Thermostat and home. It shows usage, etc. What it cannot do is change a single thing. I try to change the temp via the app, doesn't work. Change the mode, doesn't work. Yet if I go do it on the thermostat, it shows it instantly on the app. So the app is literally just a visual to show what's happening, but you can't control a single thing. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, etc, all to no avail. Never had this problem withy Nest!

Installed the Touch 2 about three weeks ago. The app worked great for two weeks. Now, even though everything shows to be successfully connected, the app will not control any changes to the thermostat. I've tried all troubleshooting ideas, reset everything, but still no success. This is disappointing as we really do like the thermostat itself. Can't find anything online with a method to fix. May have to return the thermostat and start the search for another device.

Generally good and reliable. One gripe...how can I reorder the display of my three thermostats without deleting them and adding them again? Sure would love to change the display order. OK...second gripe found. Navigating to try and integrate with Google Assistant brings me to a Google page that says "We can't find what you're looking for at the moment. Please try again later.". Also tried integrating with Google Home and it only partially worked. It would turn my thermostat off, but not on, when trying to operate it by voice. When it was on manually, it would open a page for me to set the temperature, but it wouldn't set the temperature for me, which is pointless.

Overall, it is a good experience. Very easy to change the thermostat settings and temperature from the app, even turn it on and off from anywhere. The ability to set schedules is great, and geofencing allows your thermostat to turn up/down 3°F in you leave a 2 mile radius of your home. App does have the occasional bug where you can't access your thermostat for a period of time, but overall it's a good app.

I installed my Sensi several months ago and it has worked flawlessly. App is easy to use. Also, due to a poor internet company, when I lose internet and reconnect, my Kasa (TP-LINK) smart plugs and switches have to be manually re-connected to my Alexa account. However, the Sensi has reconnected automatically every time. BTW, I am now away from home for a couple of weeks but still able to monitor the temperature at home and even able to adjust the temp if needed with the app.

Works great (both the app and product.) Welcomed the new features recently added such as the air conditioner run history - very useful. Keep up the great work! One feature I would love would be an alert if the a/c is running for more than XX minutes. I came home one day and saw that my unit was running for more than 75 minutes, and it was because of a dying motor. If an alert would've notified me after 20 minutes, I would have known something was wrong and shut it off remotely.

I have three Sensi thermostats and I love them but one of them went bad within 6 months and the other ones are sometimes off by a degree or two but the overall experience has been pretty good and the app is user friendly. I hope they could find tune the thermostat and the app but don't go changing it completely. It's nice to be able to lock the thermostat and also adjust the display by a positive or negative degree

I don't know what's happened to this app but now it is completely unable to control my thermostat. I can see what the temperature is but I cannot change the schedule no matter how many times I say save it just stays the same. It's pretty much worthless, might as well go back to an old timey thermostat at this point. I even tried submitting a bug report and it wouldn't let me That's how great this app is..

The app does what it needs to do and is very stable. I am giving an average 3 stars due to the UI/UX. Most tasks are OK but scheduling is pretty clunky. It's not intuitive and could be a lot easier to set different rules. It is OK once setup but it feels like I have to learn the work flow every few months when I update the config. There shouldn't be such a thing as re-relearning for a mobile app... Ever.

Very painful setup. You have to have a code off the back of the thermostat, but can't complete the setup if the thermostat is not connected...then have to manually enter your wi-fi info while trying to keep it from timing out and/or breaking connection to reconnect to home wi-fi. Then, if you can make it through the connection process, it won't complete configuration without a process that forces you to allow it to access your device location because it won't recognize any zip code as valid.

app constantly gives an error saying Thermostat is offline error message states, With heat pump systems, Sensi thermostats require constant AC power through a C-wire to maintain a reliable Wi-Fi connection and avoid rapid battery drain. Learn more about how to add a C-Wire. and my cwire is connected to the thermastat. Also took multiple tries to get my thermastat connected to wifi bc it kept not wanting to connect but after multiplie tries it did but end up getting this error message In app

Does not always communicate online. The thremostat has to re-aquire the internet. It is not my wireless signal strength. This thremostat is closer to the router on the 1st floor. My Honeywell thremostat located on the 2nd floor does not lose wireless connectivity. Also, the Sensi replaced an older Honeywell thremostat and this older thremostat did not lose connectivity.

this is a simple straight forward thermostat which is easy to install and set up. The only issue I ran into was getting it to link to my home network. That was solved by going thru steps a couple of times. The thermostat has a lot of features, which makes it extremely versatile for different people and their needs. Has a ton of guides and information via the internet. You can't go wrong purchasing this one.

This appt worked good the 1st yr but now keeps going off line, no history anymore just error messages all the time. I've reset it several times but never stays. I have to turn my phone off & on several times then it will work for alittle while then not connected again. Very frustrated with this. Tired of resetting it all the time to get it to work. Hope you fix this soon or i guess I need to get a different one.

App is decent, but using the web browser based thermostat manager actually makes better use of space on mobile. On the app you need to press a button to get different features such as heat/cool/off, on the website you have all those options in one press. Also, for us travelers, it needs to display the time that's actually on the thermostat on the app, this would be greatly useful for those of us that operate the thermostat from other time zones.

The thermostat combined with the app is amazing. I love how clean and easy to use the app is. it's also very simple to connect everything to your wifi. There are so many features that I use. First is the fan only circulation, I set it for 15%, about nine minutes every hour. Keeps the air moving and keeps it filtering. Second is the usage reports. I can see exactly how many hours/minutes my air, heat, and fan run. Plus, it stores it so you can compare yearly. Overall, highly recommended!!

I really love this app to go with my thermostat. Lately, however, it seems to say it's offline when it isn't (I check through my router & on the device itself) or I will change a setting & it goes right back to what it was before. My phone has been alerting me to the app having high crashes as well. I hope that is fixed soon. As someone with a disability a smart therm is super helpful. Once bugs are fixed 5 stars for sure.

when it works, it's great. batteries need to be changed every 4 weeks if not, there is no heat. about every 3 weeks it goes 'off-line ' and needs to be reset, which is frustrating, time consuming because reset doesn't happen with the first try. the unit does not securely mount, seems loose and if bumped can be disconnected.

It's pretty straightforwardly simple. I did not expect it'd be needed or handy. However, being able to remotely adjust it or turn it off during a thunderstorm has been very useful. There's a basic reporting chart to track heating & cooling by month or over the past 7 days. You can also configure separate heading and cooling plans. Or, at a plan to maintain high and low temp together. That is, heat when too low and cool too high.

This app worked decently enough for almost 8 years. There were occasional disconnects from wifi but it was always easy to get reconnected, until a few weeks ago. Now I cannot connect to wifi at all, so I cannot control the thermostat via the app, which is a pain. Not a bad app to have, but the disconnect issue is pointing toward a new thermostat now.
