It limits the range of shades you can access. It would say 20 shades available for a brand and only show 6. Yet if I use the full site version, I would see the entire range of shades I need. So I deducted a star for that. I Otherwise, Its a very easy and sweet app Update from Jan- 2017. App has fixed it's bugs and it's super easy, super accessible and super fun to browse and use. I prefer it to the website because it's more compact for the eye to use, yet includes all the info as the website

Easy to search, sort and filter. Love that I can search for a product and then filter by skin type, formulation, finish, etc. Also, like the color match option and try it on live feature to see what the product will look like on your face. App is easy to navigate and use. Never had any problems ordering products and I've used it more than a dozen times. The app will suggest products you may like based on your viewing/purchase history, which makes spending more $ almost too easy.

App is always good: easy to navigate, well layed out, pretty comprehensive and complete content. Functional and pretty much flawless. Personal preference: I do wish "sold out" rewards would disappear and that samples wouldn't time out of my basket (unless sold out, of course), but I'm pretty sure I know why both of those things happen, so I'm fine... 😀

Nice app! I wish there were more filters for searches. It would be great to search anything and just see clean products or just see products with a certain ingredient. I also wish you could narrow down the beauty matches for reviews. Currently, it will only show reviewers who exactly match you, but it would great to select only certain things for different products. (Like for makeup, I would want to see matches for skin tone, but not necessarily hair, etc.) Overall, good app though!

Easy to use and the cart doesn't just randomly disappear like some other apps I've used. Very easy to use. I would just recommend to add a general option under each category. For example: When I went to look at the products (gifts, possibly) under $20 category, there wasn't an option that I saw to see all of them. I only saw options for each category, which is also very helpful! Merely a suggestion and it could be I just couldn't find it lol. No complaints!!

Great app. Easy to use and navigate, no glitches, works great. Update: the above is still true, the app works. I'm downgrading the review though because whenever I add samples to my order, they never send them! I've placed almost all of my orders through the app and have never gotten the samples I selected. Why let me pick products I want to sample from a list if they're just going to send me random samples anyway?

My first time to use and, although it took me a minute to figure how to add an item to my cart (it's the floating, red button on bottom right of screen with white cart symbol!), I like like very much. May be specific to my phone, but prices of items are not visible on the first level of the shopping with multiple items on the screen. The block of space avail for each item seems too short and cuts off price info. Was otherwise intuitive and user-friendly, and checkout was a breeze.

I couldn't decide between 2 or 3 stars for the functioning of the Sephora app. I chose 3 because I like Sephora. The app is incredibly buggy. For the life of me, not matter what my husband and I try, I am not able to post my reviews for products I try. Only very few went through but all else are "errors." The app runs slowly, my husband and I have tried different phones, computers, tablets, etc. Please fix bugs!

Sub-optimal experience... When adding a look to 'Your Looks' it allows you to go through the entire flow of uploading photos, writing a description, selecting all products used, assigning a group — then when you submit it, you get an error message that the looks section "is having a touch-up, oops!" Ok you just wasted a lot of my time trying to share things that would've been helpful to your other customers. If you're "touching up" that area, lock it. Also in-app customer service doesn't exist.

Easy to place orders. UPDATE 9/3/19: pretty frustrated that I am not able to play any in-app videos. Shopping is easy to do still but can't watch any instructional videos. Already have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times. Reset and enabled all permissions. Still can't play videos. Glitch has been around for months. Still unrepaired even after the update.

Fix The App!! I USED to think the Sephora app was so easy to use and a great shopping experience! Now it sucks! I try to search a specific brand/item, I browse a bit, then type a new search but it brings me back to the results of my first search, I go through the menu and filter to what I want, the results are STILL from my original search. I have to force close the app in-between every single time I search for something specific - super annoying and time consuming.

Sephora app is pretty intuitive to use. I have noticed of late that a page will say it's listing a certain number of items, but well before I've seen that many products, the page will run out of scrolling room, and I won't see the rest of the items. Some of this can be dealt with by asking the page to show items based on their price or their popularity or something similar which reshuffles everything into that order and then makes it possible to see some other items.

I would really love to see an edit option on the wish list so I can prioritize what I want most and least rather than the default chronological order. It's good but I think it could be better. The program that let's you use facial mapping technology to try on makeup especially needs work, its very buggy, but it's a really great idea and I hope that it will live up to its potential. I personally love the app, it does the bare minimum and then some, but its fallen short of its potential.

Revised: many improvements made in the app - no more crashing at random times. More filters added! 5⭐ Older: I just had to fully uninstall the app be ause it shows nothing more than a white screen every time I try to open it. I'm done. Its more of a hassle at this point. The app is great to browse products but, every single time I go to actually purchase the products I've added to my cart the app crashes. Frustrating. I'm trying to give you my money...TAKE IT!

What has happened? I have had this app for quite some time. Here, lately, its performance is not optimal. You find a product, click on the shades, and the shade indicator does not work. The shade that is chosen remains the same for any shade you choose. It's the same thing for a product that has multiple sizes. You can't see rhw prices doe rhw different sizes unless you add to cart, take out the cart. If you want a foundation or concealer, you choose the shade finder, and it just scrolls.

This app has proceeded to get worse and worse over time. Incredibly glitchy, foundation finder never works anymore, blurry images, more and more often sections error out and won't load. Now, if I want to place an order, it asks me to log in but keeps re-loading the login screen. Therefore, it won't let me order from the app at all.

Update from 28 March 2024 has rendered the app unusable. I can't see products or add anything to my cart. I get errors anytime I click on something and it asks me to check my internet connection. I still would rather browse on a website without having to click on everything to bring up details, but app works great for what it is and to do shopping on my phone

This app worked amazing for me until March. I can't write a product review, view a item, look at the reviews, place an order, add items to wishlist etc. I cant even look at my sephora points and what i can use my points on because i always get an error or a pop up telling me it expired. Really the only thing i can do is search up an item and see what they have but thats all. Anything else is a "error." If i want to order something i have to reinstall it and it works for a day then stops again.

i love shopping online, and this app is probably the easiest app to navigate. you can love things instead of add them to your cart so you dont have to delete everything from your cart when you actually want to buy something. everything is nicely organized, and they will never hide it when they are having a sale or when you have enough points to get something for free. when i order online, i usually get about five samples!

I abso hate this app but it's a necessity if you want sales etc. Today it keeps popping up a credit card offer every few minutes (I already have the cc). I selected no but it still keeps popping up. I uninstalled and reinstalled still doing it. My biggest pet peeve, is I'll be looking at products and select it to read more. When you go back you have to scroll back through everything. So dumb and combersome. Really! So instead of spending money right now I'm writing this review horrible app
