The gear puzzle in section 5 is impossible as the diameters of the gears added up is not long enough to connect the gears at either end.

I really like the game but I am stuck in level 3 I have no clue how to pass the puzzle and get the helmet. I can see a pattern for the triangle locker in the hologram but it doesn't work and there are no hints to help me. The walkthroughs online seem to be talking about very different puzzles so I don't know how to proceed.
