I would give 5 stars but since you can only get 2 for free I just stuck with 4 stars... obviously I know they need to make money some how bit still it'd be cool to be able to get more than 2 at a time.. also just a warning they do go over all of your apps,, so if you were typing they do get a bit in the way,, but you can move them out of the way with a single swipe. You can also interact with them a little bit. Ooo and they have quite a few options and characters from shows which is very cool!

I'm expierencing the same issue as I've seen others have: the little character disappears when I lock my phone, which kind of defeats the purpose of having them there in the first place. Other than the fact that I have to go into the shimeji app to add the character back EVERY TIME I open my phone, I love this app. Its adorable and genuinely makes me happy. If this issue were fixed, I'd say the app is an easy 5 stars. I'd be interested in making my own characters as well.

the characters have cute animations, and are generally high in quality/definition. However, the characters available are very limited. it would be great if there was a character request area, or options to "fund an artist" to make more. Put simply, please continue expanding the character library. it caters to an extremely select amount of fandoms.

I've been using shimeji for a while I love it. My only complaint is a lack of categorization or search ability typically. Also, it will randomly turn off. Recently though, my background image will super zoom in after a few hours, distorting my background and my little companions only walk around the top 3rd of my screen. Besides that, I love the animations, playing with my characters, and the cute appearances. Possibly look into fixes for these new bugs?

Really cool app, I've seen others having issues with their characters freezing. I got that but I accidentally tapped the frozen character. If you just tap a character is freezes in place, however it is and if you tap it again it unfreezes. I wish there was a search bar in the characters and a larger variety of characters (even a way to design your own an upload the different frames would be cool). Overall this app is really cool.

It's super cute! Kokichi has been hanging around my screen. But is it possible to add some more danganronpa characters? If not then maybe Toilet bound hanako kun, or demon slayer? 😅 It's understandable if you don't wish to add them, just thought I'd ask. 😊 But anyways, this app is just so cute! I love to watch them jump from one side of the screen to another, and the double tap feature is really helpful! But if it's possible could you add a search feature? Overall, 10/10 I would recommend! 😊

Adorable little chibi characters roam around your screen. No ads. It just works. I saw a complaint about lack of variety. There's actually way more variety than I expected for a free app. I haven't tried any of the paid upgrades, but I might try out the extra animations or something if I get bored. Honestly, I don't even feel the need for more than one character at a time. You can even change the size and animation speed, and hide characters for a set amount of time with a double tap.

Fun and cute, mindless fun. There is currently a limited selection of characters, but they are still great! It is entertaining to watch the characters wander around the screen,, and you can just turn it off whenever you want! I am literally typing with Stocking climbing the screen as I speak. For those wandering, you have to enable it on the app itself or it won't work, so make sure you do that!

I like it, it's very cute. However some of the options seem kinda limited so naybe in the futer we could implement our own sprites and characters? Like we make a few pictures or find a few, then put them together to make our own. We'd need one for walking, jumping, climbing, falling, and being picked up. It would probably take a very long time to implement, but that's alright

Great app, adorable and fun yet it could use some work. The Shimejis get in the way of texting, it's hard to fine the characters without a search bar, needs more characters, they keep disappearing and I have to go turn them back on after a while, and some of the characters need redesigned to look and move better. Overall not a bad app I recommend getting it!

I love all the options we have, and though I would love more, I understand the process of finding free-use shimejis or artists willing to contribute for free is probably difficult. So I understand. My only suggestion would be to have an option to crop or edit the space they have to move around in, because they tend to get in the way a bit when I'm texting or typing, and having them stay above the keyboard area would be very helpful. Otherwise, I love this app, and would definitely reccomend it ♡

I love all the little characters and I enjoy MOST of their animations... MOST! Some of the animations are a bit broken for me, but I just don't use those characters. What bothers me more is the selection and the process of picking them. There isn't a very large selection of characters, and there are multiples of the same character. Furthermore, instead of having a search options or even categories like "Black Butler" or "Durarara", it's a very long list that takes a while to comb through.

Exactly as it's described, the stock options cover multiple mediums from Anime to VIDEOGAMES and Manga to Animated TVseries. Most animations are indifferent by things relevant to the character, which is neat. The pattern of movement seems to be the same for all characters. They'll move back and forth a bit then try and crawl up the side of your screen. You can "interact" with them by a nifty drag-drop function too so bonus if you're into that. It's fun and def worth checking out.

I think that it's a good app overall, but there is some things I wish was different. For one, there is limited amount of characters to add before you have to pay for more (two characters), and some of the characters you like might not even be in the menu to choose. If you don't like any characters provided, you can't even make your own to enjoy. Other than that, great little thing to play with while your bored.

This personalization is so cute!! I'm so happy I found out about this app! The little characters are cute and they're interactable! The upgrades weren't even a bad deal either. Now my screen has 6 little cuties playing on my screen! I love it! Just a suggestion but maybe if you added animations where the characters interact with each other like helping each other up after falling or characters chasing each other? Oh, and please add more characters! More characters would be awesome!!

I've had this app for a few years now(since 2018) but haven't really seen much in terms of improvements aside from the search bar... As I once stated, it would be nice to see more characters available, and perhaps less duplicates, to choose from. It makes me wonder if the problem lies with finding willing artists or if it's something else? I still love the app and plan to keep it, but I feel the need to lower my 5 star of it to a 3 for now...

It's decent. The outer bounds of my phone's screen (Galaxy Z Fold5) aren't detected properly in phone or tablet mode so when some Shimeji are climbing up the sides it doesn't sit them at the correct spot (so half their body might be visibly cut off for example). Dunno if this is an issue on all phones or just mine. Also I wish they could hop onto and climb apps and widgets on my home screen.
