Problem with blank screens appearing for contacts, call list, plus unavailable dialing pad, after advert screens were added in January 2024. I've already reported problems (14 Mar) with dial pad but no fix offered yet - going back to Google Phone until I get an answer. A simple phone app that works without trying to integrate other functions.

I've bought these apps a few times. I've always liked the simplicity and design. Recently, though, they've startes downgrading the user experience in relatively minor ways. Firstly, they prevent you customising the colour ; and secondly they've introduced a startup screen so you have to look at the icon for a few pointless seconds. Maybe some genius marketer's idea but it would put me off paying again. If I wantes uncustomisable, fussy apps I would stick with the default ones.

App is quite useful. However, ads at app startup and that too engulfing whole screen make the app practically of no use. Ads are justified no doubt , could be placed at bottom and no matter keep showing all time but big pop-ups that hinder app usage frankly no rational in it. I hope developer can work on it. For the time being uninstalling app until screen engulfing ads are placed at bottom. Thanks

I was very happy with this app, until recently, when a start up screen began to pop up at the opening and re-opening of the Simple Dialer phone app*. Sometimes its hangs for a (too) long time before one can actually use the phone - usually when one's in a hurry. Can the start up screen be optionally enabled / disabled. *The same remark applies to the sms app. Thanks

Was good, but now possibly dangerous. Why would you force people to watch 30 to 60 seconds of adverts before being able to make a call. I appreciate revenue is required from apps, but, should I need to call for emergency services, having to watch an advert for 30 seconds could be potentially be disastrous. I going to look elsewhere, sorry, you've wrecked a good app.

It used to be free of ads. One of the updates sneaked in the ads. Now basically on app startup you are forced to have 30s full screen ad. Unbelievable. Imagine if you need to call emergency services... No point in having premium version without ads, I would rather suggest a simple version ad-free and a premium version with more features. As of now, the developer will receive negative reviews and noone will look at the premium version.

It does exactly what it says and doesn't try and upsell you with stupid AI features or anything like that. A one-time fee removes all advertising and is well worth the cost. Two things make be unable to give the 5th star: first, after a while even if you've paid it shows a pop-up ad almost every time you start the app asking you to rate it. If you select "one star" in the ad it never asks you again ... funny, that. Secondly, when the app starts, it can take over 5 seconds to load.

Stopped being able to receive calls for some reason. I've missed some job interviews because of this. But this is the best possible app that could dial out (make phone calls) from my phone. Also the default dialer app pre-installed in my device somehow became 'incompatible with this device' recently, so I'm not sure if that affected this app as well.

If you just want a lightweight dialer you can trust with no frills, this is it. But if you want one that's actually useful beyond the absolute bare necessities, it's not. Odds are, your stock dialer is just as lightweight & more functional, without requiring another app. Limited options (i.e. no grid view in favs, no option to show day of week or "yesterday" in log); dialer is too big, mostly blocking search results; no groups; no color difference for different call types, & limited log length.

1. The app only has a dark screen as default, which is impossible to see in the sunlight for lack of contrast. 2. I tried to receive a call while driving. It hung up on the caller when I maximized Google maps. The person called me back and I was able to answer it, but I had no way to put it on speaker, there was no screen for it. I will try the pro version to see if it works better.

It's a no-frill dialer app. It's unjunked- unlike Gooogle, Samisung's, and other spyware loaded dialers? This simple, well-coded, intuitive app has all the really needed features and functions of a dialer app, and does not go after your personal info. It is an excellent app with no compromise from the user. What else do you want? It's more useful than all the other dialers I've used before. Great. Thank you developer.

I was about to purchase the Simple Dialer (along with Simple Contacts), and was trying it out one last time before the purchase. And then I went to end a call where I needed the dialing pad open, and discovered there's no way to do that without first closing the dialing pad. The placement of the dialing pad covers not only the end call button, but also the speaker and mute buttons. Unless it's just a quirk of my particular phone, OnePlus Nord N10 5G. Everything else was pretty perfect up to that point. I'll keep watching if there's any improvement on the placement of the dialing pad, but I guess that means it's off to find another dialer/contact set that work well and allows groups.

Simple, easy to use, but VERY buggy for me atleast. The UI and design overall is really clean and has some nice organization tools, but there are far too many bugs to be my main app. When on a phone call, if you leave the app and go back into it, any buttons active (speaker/mute) will show up as unpressed even if they are active. Naking it difficult to mute/unmute. Another bug I've had, makes it impossible to go back into the in-call tab, so I'm unable to hang up or use any of the buttons.

Now you can see multiple numbers under your favorite contacts, but it won't tell you if the number is the home number, mobile, work, etc. There should also be a "join all duplicates" option instead of doing it one by one. Contacts are duplicated when you have multiple call apps (such as WhatsApp) even when they both use the same number. There's a strange bug that occurs when you miss a call and click the notification, the app doesn't open. The app needs work.

Downloaded this app in an attempt to find a way to make phone calls without a "call ended" tone. Found some options I really like. This app makes a tone when a phone call is ended. It's not an "issue" per se (the app works just fine). I would prefer the option to turn off the tone indicating the call has ended. I can silence everything during the call process except for ending the call.

Used to be great. Why can't developers leave things alone if they work? After update, color changes no longer work, and it takes twice as long to launch the app. I hate orange. Blue was great. Now it says blue in the settings but it's still orange. I'll give you the stars back when you give me back what I liked about the app.

This is a well designed, simple app that deserves consideration by anyone looking for a dialer. There doesn't appear to be a Pro (paid) version. I been impressed with almost all of their apps and have bought the Pro versions of each of them where possible. The one thing I find annoying is the lack of any way to turn off images/avatars in the contact list. Their companion Contacts app has this option so why would they leave it out of this one?

Original 3/22/24: This is a repackaged version of an open source app you can get without ads on other app stores. Update 4/9/24: Since they asked for a clarification with a boilerplate response, I will clarify that an ad popped up when I opened the Dialer app after I had been physically assaulted. I was trying to contact my husband in an emergency situation and was unable to make the call because I could not close the full screen ad.

The application was great at fist. I was having issues with the default phone app installed on my phone. Sadly the experience has gotten slower, has a ton of new bugs, and is now pushing ads before I can make phone calls. I was hoping for a great open-source alternative but quickly realized this application is not it.

The app is almost perfect. Only problem i have is it is very slow when switching between dialer, contacts, and call log. Sometimes, i have to close the app and re-open it after switching between those three screens. And other times it shows up after about 10 seconds... i paid to support this app because i want it to keep going and get better. If it weren't for this one slow glitch, it was exactly what i was looking for.
