Update: App is messed up. No obvious way to use vouchers, one would assume they would be used automatically, but no. Can't apply s voucher to a car share transaction in retrospect either. Pure bait. Plus there's no direct way to contact support. Just endless Q&A dialogues. Been trying for 15 minutes to activate my payment method. Doesn't work, after the browser redirect (Fennec), the app forgets what happened/goes back to a logo screen or a map

Great update recently. App is very straightforward to use, graphics are fresh & clean, & they have great auto selections. I try to use Sixt whenever I travel and highly recommend their services to everyone!

I'm rather a car sharing user. And with every update it has gotten a bit worse. After the last one there is a status bar, that covers about 30 to 40% of available screen. The whole thing is just for two buttons, so about 40 to 50% of the bar is empty. Another issue is payment provider. Don't know, if Sixt used to work with Adyen before, or just changed to them. But I had ongoing problems for weeks to complete the booking. Yet it has become better now. Three stars because its in general works.

Impossible to add a creditcard. It doesn't even contact the payment provider because it already fails before that. Same error whether I enter correct or incorrect CC details. Even after 2 updates. Still doesn't work. Ofcourse I am logged in. How else can I "Complete my account" ? My CC got replaced. I used SEPA temporarily until I received my new CC but adding gives "ERROR - payment method not added successfully try later". Doesn't contact payment provider because same message with incorrect CVC

The only thing this app is good for is viewing which car you have reserved. The check in process is useless. It redirects you from the app to a web site where it wants to first take a picture of your driver's license. It just hangs at that step and you can go no further. This is my first experience renting from Sixt, and something tells me it'll also be my last. Can't wait to see what further screw ups await when I arrive at the counter to check-in in person.

I had a disappointing experience with SIXT car share. Referred by a friend, I was promised a 30 Euro voucher, which was split into 10 and 20 Euro amounts. When I picked up the Opel Mokka, it was parked in and undriveable. My 10 Euro voucher vanished without even moving the car. The voucher system is flawed and feels disingenuous. Based on this experience, I’m unlikely to use the remaining 20 Euro voucher or continue with SIXT. Their service needs significant improvements.

I don't fly much , I'm hoping that changes. What I can say is Sixt, combined with their effortlessly awesome app, makes the process a breeze. I don't check other prices anymore because it's just a waste of time honestly. Sixt offers extremely affordable options usually that carry no hassle . Best part is the choice ...cmonnn. . "You want a us made convertible or European??"😁😂🤶🎅

Honestly I was expecting a low budget app, but this one worked really well! I'm an app developer and have an eye for detail. My only suggestion for now is Google play integration. The card scanner didn't work for my non-standard card and it would have been a lot simpler to just click a few times for Google pay. Or android pay. Whatever the hell they're calling it these days.

Great rates! Some of the worst customer service in the industry. I can't recommend them, but if you don't mind really bad customer service, the rates are generally unbeatable. We travel about 9 months out of the year and exclusively used Sixt. Recently we've decided to move away from them because of multiple really bad experiences. We pay more for the same thing but are much happier and feel better knowing if we run into any issues we have a company that is there to help out.

Very slow, hard to understand, what to do is not clear nor is how to do. Very few help topics. Totally confusing. I didn't get past the pick-up/location section because it wouldn't completely load or it wasn't working properly. Any location I entered had no results. NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL!! It just showed a radar icon that blinked on the map. Total waste of time! NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE

This app is very easy to use. I rent from sixt often and wish the app had an easier function to extend a rental. I find that I always have to call custimer service and wait on hold because the only other option is to send an email, which is not very assuring that they will get to your email quickly, especially when your time to return the car is very close.

They allowed me to book a rental car when their office was closed, basically out of office hours. Needless to say I had to cancel my rental and go to Hertz to rent another car. Luckily they had availability, but i had to pay way more than planned, plus the stress of being with my family and trying to get in touch with sixt. The phone number they left on the sign at the office didn't work, and their main office was also not taking any calls (just said number disconnected). Never again.

The app does a poor job of showing when a rideshare is on its way. I also recently received a notification that no drivers were available and to try again later. I closed the app and minutes later got a notification that a driver was on the way, so the app continued to search for a driver after clearly indicating the previous search didn't work. Be careful.

App is intuitive and easy to use. It has simple but eloquent formatting. I have used their services once before; I enjoyed their speed at check-in, the beautiful (and new!) vehicle I was provided for my trip, and the ease of return (even when I came back with a crack across the whole windshield!). I was so nervious about my return (because of the crack) but I experienced some of the best customer service I have ever had with car rentals and for those reason I will absolutely return!

I rented from this company on a few occasions in multiple cities and had a pleasant experience with my rental. So I decided to download the app a create a profile, however I cannot change the dates to make a booking and it tells me I first have to select a pick up location,when I select a pickup location NOTHING happens and I am unable to look up rates for a rental. I force stop the app, installed and reinstalled to no avail. This has been a complete WASTE of my time with this app

Hands down the worst experience renting a car I've ever had. Made a reservation but check in still took an HOUR. They didn't have the car type I reserved so there is no point is in making a reservation. Contract had me returning the car at 8:30am, website/app says they open at 7am. Office was closed at 8:30am. Customer service line hangs up on up before you can get to a person. Was not able to start the return until 9am. Stick to Turo or Getaround, process is such a breeze by comparison.

That was the worst experience with rideshare app ever. First time it didn't show where the car is located, just message "ready for pick up". We canceled it. Second time we couldn't find driver too, this time car was driving somewhere not far from us, but didn't picked us too. Uber app is not the perfect application, but it's working at least.

DO NOT use this app to SAVE MONEY. I've rented from Sixt for years now and travel often. The app price is always $10-$15 more per day! Even with their "app special" discount applied all the way to checkout. I keep the app to compare prices just in case, but the website always has a better deal. Also, the CALLENDER has a bug on the app. But if you select the date AFTER the days you want it'll work. So if you need it on the 1st, tap the 2nd, and the 1st will highlight same for return date

So far all my experiences with SIXt have been wonderful. They have taken such good care of me even in incidents and situations. The customer service is impeccable. They don't scam or have hidden fees or tricky language. They are upfront and no pressure tactics. They keep their word. The cars are always clean and without issues. SIXt is where I always try to book first. I hope they continue to keep the business model they have.
