Sometimes I think the games with simpler concepts are just better. This game is one of those. The puzzle system isn't complicated to learn, but challenging levels come from the system. The art is simple and endearing, and the expanding island and VIPs give a fun collection element to the game. I enjoy the events too.

So far, this game has been pretty fun. There are some challenging levels, but that's a good thing. The ads aren't intrusive. They seem, so far, only to appear when you have an opportunity to increase your rewards, which is nice. Main thing I would like, is the opportunity to receive more bonuses without paying real money for them. Updated to 2 stars because after a while, when you get higher level, it seems impossible to do without paying for gems or spending real money. Sad

I'm still impressed with and enjoying Sliding Seas after several months of playing. The music is cheerful, the puzzles are fun, and the challenge level feels about right. While there are ads, this is one of the best integrations I have seen, and it's always the player's choice whether to view them in return for a reward.

It's so addictive. I have been playing for a very long time. I waited to review to be sure but I very much like this game. It's my go to on my phone. Depending on your lives and your game play you can play hours sometimes only minutes. Still finding new level types. It's not to easy or to hard. Still challenging at times and fun. I just really enjoy this game.

The game itself is actually pretty good, quite addictive. But losing progress (and a try) on a level just because you have to answer a phone call, return a text, or switching to a different app for any reason is quite annoying. There needs to be a way to save progress and come back to it.

Pretty fun game, though I like the pirate battles best. The village feels pointless since it doesn't really impact anything. Rating 5 stars because of the player friendly ad strategy. You can spend money for power ups and lives or watch ads but it's not required. You can play as long as you win levels and after 5 failed attempts you can either wait, spend in game currency, or watch an ad to play more. It's the best way to handle ads and I respect it greatly.

Sliding Seas is a match game where you match tiles to save people or their belongings from the ocean. It is a beautiful little app, colorful and playful. I have enjoyed many hours in this app; playing, gathering, decorating, and the Birthday event is a fun switch, when it opens, as well. Devs: Please don't change a thing! *Unless you want to add a new event.

Used to be a great game to pass time. There are easy puzzles and some very challenging ones, which I enjoyed. However, the latest update causes the game to freeze up for a few seconds during game play. It's become quite frustrating and I find myself not playing the game as much anymore. I check back often in hopes of a new update but am still left with the issue. Would be a 5 star, but for now, it's a 3.

Update: I just had to add to my previous review! I never listen to the sound/music on games. When I opened Sliding Seas today to play for a bit, the sound was turned up...love the island vibe music! It makes playing even more enjoyable. Great job, creators! Love that the levels are quick and there aren't any ads unless you want extra gems. Building the island is fun too!

This is how mobile games should be! Fun, relaxing, and challenging without being too frustrating. Best of all, the only ads are optional ones for if you want to double your rewards, which you really don't have to as you earn plenty of diamonds regularly. I've maxed out the regular levels (1300), so I can't wait for new levels!

I'm completely changing my review. Before, it was glowing. This game, like many others, is focused on the money. It didn't used to be which is upsetting. The levels become impossible to pass unless you're lucky, which is stupid in a puzzle game... or you use all you're power-ups since you can buy them. They specifically throttle the number of event people you can get so you're forced to watch ads or pay money. It's really uncool and disappointing for a game that used to be perfect.

This is a game of diminishing returns. As the game progresses more survivors are needed to level up your island, but fewer survivors can be rescued per level. When I first started I could easily save 8+ survivors, but around level 100 I was being locked in at a max of 5 or fewer survivors per level requiring more effort. It's fun, it just becomes a huge grind as you level up your island.

Great game, no ads unless you want like another life or something. Not pay to win! Levels are fun, though some definitely more than others (chest levels are my least favorite). Events give neat stuff if you stay on top of them. VIPs are cool and I love collecting them. Definitely a game I come back to over and over as new levels get added.

My top, "will not uninstall" game. Perfect, except having to wait for the next batch of levels... but only because I hate waiting. Totally worth playing. Honestly I have no idea why people are saying there are ads between levels because the only time I see an ad is when I want another life, event ticket, or to play a past day's levels because I missed a day on the new daily calendar (as of Nov 2024). Ads are totally optional in this game, and you can play without paying a dime.

Really fun game and you can get by without watching ads unless you want to play extra. There's always new things as the game advances so it doesn't get boring. Some levels take multiple times to beat but it's definitely not impossibly hard like other games that force you to watch ads.

This is one of my all-time favorite games. The graphics are cute, cartoony, and don't have a ton of detail, and I love that. It's not got a bunch of events or features, and I love that too. It's got a few things like that, but I really appreciate the simplicity of this game. It's got the perfect amount of events, customization of the island, power-ups, etc. to keep its charm while not being overwhelming or try too hard. It's so much fun and I find myself playing it several times a day.

I have only had the game a few days but I like that i haven't been asked to buy anything to play. It's a very relaxing game one I can play on breaks at work. Edit: I've had this game for about a year now, easy going game you don't have to watch ads if you don't want to. It runs out of levels alot, but you are still able to play while they build more. Nice calming game, nothing aggressive.

Solid game. Enough mechanics to make it interesting but very easy to understand. Ads aren't forced. Thank you for that, devs! In game currency, while not abundant for ftp, is there and can be accumulated. Most levels that I've had to do more than once are part strategy and part luck. I'm over level 100 now and plan to keep going. Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to more! EDIT: over lvl 1600 now and can't wait for more! Lovely little game.

Highly addictive! New variation (for me) on classic match-three: matches change blocks, rather than clearing them. Home-screen advancement is fine. Difficulty 'curve', events, daily challenges, and rewards are pitched just right. FANTASTIC approach to ads! They're there, and useful for rewards if you run out of options, but are less intrusive than ANY free game I've played. No timer (so far) makes it great for chilling out. Each level may have a different objective type, so I don't get bored.

Was great, up until grabbing for cash became far more overt. Events are poorly balanced and require a lot of waiting for tickets to refresh every TWO HOURS before you can rescue another 8-14 penguins when the prizes require increasingly absurd numbers. I don't have time in my life to hover and scrape every possible ticket since events only last three days at a time. Frustrating and unsatisfying. The normal levels are at least pretty good, though some seemed designed to force powerup use.
