Could not recommend this enough. I never -- NEVER rate apps, but I feel this deserves it. The app is perfect, and I havent seen any flaws or glitches. It's very intuitive, and you can always change the options that you choose. (Interest, appearance, etc) It has no ads anywhere at all, and everyone I have talked to has been very nice. It got me excited for the responses by showing the amount of time left. The conversation starters and the profiles have been extremely helpful. This app is perfect

It's a good app to try and, find friends. The lay-out, design & how it all works is simple and not complicated. And you can find some great people.Though the reason why I give it four stars is of some missing features. One I wish the age range wasn't just to 0-20. I think there should be a feature where you can customized people around your age group. Because if your 12 and, getting people who are 17 that isn't good. And I wish the voice messages were longer than 30 seconds.

SLOWLY is the best app I've come across in a long time. I always wanted a pen pal when I was younger, but was never brave enough to reach out to one. Slowly matches and initiates you with people so smoothly that I have met great people, and had cool things to talk about without being anxious at all. I think my favorite feature is that the letter takes as long to get to each place as they would in regular mail, so it is completely different than instant messaging. It saves the charm of much loved pastime. So far, great experience! Thank you developers for an amazing app! If you would like to meet new people across the world and make new friends, I'd definitely recommend installing SLOWLY.

For the past few days that I've been using this app, I absolutely love it! I also really like the idea and concept of this app, and I even think that the execution was done pretty well. There have been a few crashes here and there, but that hasn't affected my overall experience that much. A fun idea that would be cool is to be able to use a variety of stamps instead of just a select few, or be able to customize a letter with small stickers or decorations, but they don't need to add those features. What would be useful is if the organizing aspect of the friends list was tweaked up a bit. Instead of a list, it would be nice to have an overview of the friends and letters that you've sent instead of having just one list full of names. I've gotten a ton of letters in the past few days and it's a bit of a hassle sorting through one list by scrolling to the side. It would be nice to have a separate list of letters so that I can keep track of what I've received, what I've sent and what I haven't replied to yet.

what a great app! i've been using it for about a week and all i have is positive remarks. i love how when you are sending/recieving a letter, the delivery time is accurate to the recipient's geographic location. also, i'm meeting and connecting with people whom i would've never met before! i'm getting the chance to learn of many different cultures, as well as improving my foreign language skills. everyone that i've connected with has been very kind and respectful of language barriers. thank you!

The idea is there but the execution is lacking. Two issues make this app a negative experience. First: Actually the text editor. Being able to select and delete a section of your letter just doesn't work reliably. It often deletes significantly more or less than your selection or lags. Second: Not being able to reference the letter you're replying to while writing. It makes it difficult to respond without pasting their letter in your draft and deleting as you go. Refer to problem one.

What an awesome method to meet people by exchanging letters. The time that it takes to send the letters allows the sender to write carefully on what to say. In the end, it somehow creates a uniqe space for friendship to develop. The app is designed very well along with its website version. They have a unique way to support the platform by selling special stamps with unique pictures, but the whole platform is free to use with no ads. Thank you for making this app! I really appreciate it.

Fun app, unique idea, fair monetization. The delay on messages manages to cut down on filler and time wasting, which makes for more meaningful conversations that ordinary texts. People are generally very nice, and I've made some good friend through it. It seems like the app biases towards certain countries with its userbase, but I suppose that's only natural.

The digital age makes it hard for bonding and good friendships, but this is an exception. This pen pal system is amazing. It takes time to send mail like it would in real life, based on location. This prompts people to write long letters, much more meaningful than a quick and instant text message. Don't ruin the purpose of this app by complaining about time or telling people to follow you on Instagram, Snapchat, etc. If you want real friends and real connections, download this app now!

Been using this app for a couple weeks now and so far I have been enjoying it a lot. In the beginning few days it took a couple of tries to find people to connect with, but afterwards they just started flooding in. It's an interesting concept and I love the whole waiting for the letter to arrive feature, makes it seem almost real!

This app is incredible. I am SO happy I found it. This is much more satisfying than meeting people on more "shallow" chat apps. I've made lots of interesting friends!!! I love the control you have to set your interests and find people with similar ones. I love the stamp collecting (devs, more stamps for more things please please 🙏). The photo sharing request and accept process could be improved and less hidden deep in the settings. I would expect to simply tap the camera icon in my letter draft to request photo sharing. I LOVE the graphic design of the app. I love the time it takes to mail letters!

Downgrading my review. Every time I start typing a letter, my keyboard (both virtual and Bluetooth) bog down to the point of almost unusable, and it affects my entire phone until I reboot. The UI needs a rethink, too; for example there's no rhyme or reason as to when someone's profile pic can be tapped for their profile. Someone who is NOT familiar with the app needs to be put on the testing team. I want to LOVE this app, but right now I'm avoiding it because I don't want to reboot again.

Slowly is a great idea, would honestly get 5 stars from me if it weren't for one glaring problem. The app desperately needs to be fixed. An app where the entire premise is writing long letters to pen pals, crashes every 10 words you write in said letters. Consistently crashes. Genuinely annoying, but it's only saving grace is that when it crashes repeatedly it at least saves your letter (most of it, maybe not the last few words you wrote) so when you go back into it you can just continue writing

Sincerely, I recommend this app for everyone. It's very simplistic in terms of aesthetic and overall practical use. The ability to collect stamps is quite fun, and the sheer joy of being able to talk and meet with people across the planet is fantastic. If you're looking for ways to make pen-pals for social reasons, study reasons, language acquisition, you'll find all that and much more on Slowly. So yeah, 10/10.

I really like this app. However, I think it would be way better if it allowed users to be creative. By that I mean in the letter writing process maybe have different font styles and sizes, different "paper" colors (or patterns, frames...) different text colors, maybe even add some kind of feature to draw doodles, add stickers (we would therefore be collecting both stamps and sticker packages we send each other). I don't really know how doable these will be but the app has so much potential!

I'm really enjoying the app so far. The only bad thing is starting off it's a little slow, because you have to wait for your letters to send and hope someone writes back. But that's not the apps fault. (in fact you could argue it's one of it's charm's) I know a lot of people don't like the long wait times between letters, but to me it adds to the experience. It's so exciting to see a letter coming from halfway around the world and I find myself watching the time, counting down the hours till my next one arrives. If you want to meet new people, but don't like the boring not so personal interactions that come from most instant messaging (at least that's my most common experience with people I've met online) this is a great alternative. Plus you never have to work around one another's schedule/ time zones.

I love this app. It is phenomenal. I have met an abundance of people with different backgrounds. The UI is clean-cut and fresh, I love the fact that Slowly places emphasis on the connecting part of the experience and not on photos. Even though it takes a while for the letters to send based on location, its usually worth the wait. Honestly, the waiting won't be much of a problem when you have a lot of people writing to you. Thank for this app, it is a God send.

Updated 10/9: I reinstalled and kept getting an error message that locked me out of any commands. Uninstalled for good! I think this app is great for people that dont have time to engage in constant contact. I think it should be a choice if u want ur profile pic vs. an avatar. I appreciate the old school feeling of having a pen pal :) and the filter helps a lot too!

This app is so fun. I love being able to talk to people with simultaneously different and similar experiences to my own. The UI is nice and I enjoy the stamp-collecting aspect. Some will be turned off by the long times between receiving letters, but I think it's what makes the app. It helps you come up with responses and build excitement.

This app is incredible for making friends, it requires effort on both ends. I will say however that there are some bugs that occured after I purchased Slowly Plus, that make some buttons out of reach of my screen. Sometimes Slowly has crashed too, which has never happened to me before. I hope it can be fixed 🙏
