We would like our money back. We have the physical board game and when the app works its great fun. But it is very glitchy. Keeps throwing you out, redownloading without asking, glitches in score keeping when it's a glitchy day. Hasn't been playable 3/5 days that we've owned it. Usually Days of Wonder games are great.

do not buy this app, it is a waste of money. 1. the app crashes all the time, especially since the last update. this is noticed by everyone I play with 2. it is almost impossible to get in a game match with anyone. generally when you log on there is no one else online. the most I've seen at one time is 6 people that you can possibly play with. you can only create one new game at a time, and you must leave the app open waiting for others to hopefully join you. AVOID!

Awesome game. You're bringing childhood back, in an adult way, and I foam at the mouth anytime I can play, SW2, TTR, with my friends on the board, or app. Thank you so much for these amazing games. Also, to anyone wondering IF they should, get any of their games. You should be asking, why you have waited to read this review! Give then your money, every PENNY is worth it!

There is no multiplayer because to few people are online which is because the app is too expensive. AI have no difficult levels and with there are some bugs that with Merchant they never go into decline. If I could get my money back I would even though I love the game.

Still a buggy mess over 10 years after release. Constant crashes and glitches that require force closing and restarting nearly every game, often more than once. Experienced this across 3 devices and probably dozens of Android updates. Notified developers of problems in February 2016, and nothing's been fixed.

Game crashes before score screen relatively often (about 20% of the time). Also the ai occasionally decides it doesn't like you and goes out of the way to attack you (such as on the first turn of the game, on a non aggressive race), not sure the logic there. Flaws aside, it's a solid remake of the board game.

Great game that can be played quickly and is well maintained. The expansions however are expensive for what you get and one i purchased was removed. I contacted the creator but they never replied. The app frequently needs network coverage to verify I own it and like the most of their apps has an annoying "you have a new high score" message you need to click ok to every game you play -a pain on a device not shared with anyone. If you get it don't waste money on the expansions.

The online component is still supposedly in beta, it crashes frequently on my Galaxy tablet and it won't recognize my bluetooth keyboard, but it still manages to be a highly addictive game like the boardgame it's based off. Maybe a little too addictive... I haven't had the urge to pay the analog game with my friends in a while! UPDATE: Trying it online has ruined my enjoyment of the game, though. I enjoy SmallWorld for the ability to mix and match abilities and try out what's effective - a spirited amateur enthusiast, if you will. People online seem to enjoy the game by only picking the races that result in total victory. I groan every time someone reaches for the ghouls or skeletons... Not to mention that the app REALLY doesn't like it when I tab out to do something else while I'm waiting for my turn. Crashes and kicks me. And it won't let me type with my bluetooth keyboard, And then when I unplug my keyboard, it crashes. Bluh.

Playing on a nexus 7 (Gen2). The game crashes occasionally, maybe once in every ten times played. However, any game progress you have made is saved up to that point. Computer AI plays a strong game and the rules seem to follow the board game correctly. The AIs do not seem to collude against you which is nice. First few games, the AI beat me soundly, but now unless i tap somewhere by mistake, i usually come out ahead. The game plays far quicker than the actual board game :) One small issue that bothers me: it is easy to miss things. For example, when you forget to redeploy troops (ie new baby skeleton) or to use your 'peace' trait/skill, or you drag onto/attack your previous race by mistake, i wish the game would come up with a 'Did You Forget?' screen. Will consider buying the expansions, but at $3/3/5, a little pricey. The option to disable certain races/skills would be nice as i am not a fan of all the expansion content. (Cursed special power i hate) . Note: Have only played solo play against the AI. Note 2: I think the sorceror may be implemented differently than the board game rules (in the bg, the token is taken from general supply). i may have misread, but seems the case.

Love the game and the app makes a lot of rules much easier to manage. AI is quite aggressive and mostly smart, which is good if you want to improve but there's no option for a more relaxed, chill game. There's no undo button if you make a mistake (which is easy on a small screen), and there are occasional crashes and issues with the app saying I'm logged in but forgetting I own DLC, requiring me to log out and back in again.

I like the game! For 5,90 € you get a game with many options to play. Local, solo, multi-player. It's fast and not time consuming, it's complex enough that you try to consider options. You can buy some extensions, but the game is already good enough as it is. 5 stars But it just crashed before the count of the points... -1

I enjoy the game overall but it's been crashing a fair bit lately ("verifying download" or just freezes). I also have issues with some of the races/abilities from the latest expansions, which don't seem to work consistantly (eg you get your x number of snow globes for a couple of rounds, then no more in spite of still having the magic sources). Also the game cheats! Even in 2-player mode bot will pick first about 80% of the time and dice throws are rarely 0 for them but almost always for you.

I cannot recommend this app enough. Exactly like the physical game. Small World is my favourite board game, by far. No two games are alike with all of the possible power/race combinations, whether you're first or last to choose, or maybe the CPU wants to raze your troops! Yes, the app crashes sometimes, but it's great to play solo when nobody wants to play IRL. Great to play "Pass'N Play" on a Smart TV, too. No setup or missing pieces! PS I have not tried online play and I likely will not.

I was delighted to find that one of my favorite games had been turned into an app. It's great! Works exactly like the board game, but is better if you want faster game play (since the game performs some actions - counting points and so on - for you). It's also worth noting that there is a in game option to buy various expansions for your virtual game.

2025 - some things change, some things remain the same. Great game, enjoyed playing the game with friends asynchronously. Frequent server issues - down and out for days or weeks at a time. Twin Sails has a nice auto-reply message, but ignore all support requests. Too bad, such an excellent game. Asmodee should think twice about licensing their products to Twin Sails in the future.

Fun game like the board game. But app crashes constantly. More than half the time after making it through an entire play through, the game crashes and "verifies download" and never loads the results screen. Kind of ruins the experience not to see the results. Unacceptable for a paid game. There are free games that are less glitchy.

My partner and I adore this game and use the app constantly. Unfortunately, it is super glitchy. It's constantly getting stuck and stranding us in the middle of games, failing to remove finished games from the list of ongoing games, and other errors. This would be a default game for us but the frustration is getting to be too much.

Love the boardgame, love having an android option, but implementation is subpar. It can take upwards of fifteen seconds just to load menu screens, upwards of thirty for it to count victory points at the end of a turn, and it crashes a fair bit. There are also some significant bugs in the AI. An AI with ghouls in decline will always put its next race in decline at the earliest opportunity, wasting both races. If heroic halflings have only three territories, it crashes. Etc.

Runs great! On Samsung galaxy 9+ No issues for game play. Good music. Simple sound. Playable. Still a little confused about the game play mechanics but thats me. Main menu has a shop that you can go into, and there's nothing there for sale. (Can you reply an answer for me?) Beautiful board. Great detail on cards and board. Expansions are just a couple bucks (real money). Don't worry though there's only four of them. Other than that its a one time to play. I'm happy with the developers. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great adaptation of a fantastic board game! I usually just play this Solo, which is great for a quick board game fix even if it's not the same as playing in-person. This is also a great way to try out the expansions to see if you like what they add to the game before buying the physical expansions for the tabletop game since the add-ons are only a few dollars. Negatives: Occasionally the game will crash, and sometimes the computer player makes really bad decisions (e.g. decline too early).
