Amazing app, but I spent a few hours going absolutely insane by the audiobooks randomly stopping, because I might have accidentally pressed the "pause on rotate" button, which doesn't work well and pauses the book when I'm just walking with the phone. Please, for the sake of stupid people like me, hide it in at least one level of menus since it's really hard to figure out if you hit it by accident (or, if someone pauses/unpauses quickly enough, display a popup regarding the functionality).

Really good player for playing your own audio book files. Lots of customization options. Sleep timer option that fades out slowly and can be extended up with a shake if you're still awake. Also comes with an equalizer (I like to increase the bass a little) and an option to change playback speed.

Great app, it does everything I need an audiobook reader to do. Auto resume from where I stopped, speed adjustment, and it syncs well with my Android Auto. Some features do require premium but it's only a one time $1.99 cost, and you get to try them all at no cost for a month.

still my favorite listening app. For the price (ridiculously low) you get a fully functional audiobook app with more bells and whistles than you'll probably use 😋 I've been using it for well over five years now on a daily basis. The Creator definitely has a love for audiobooks and it shows. Thanks for your work The updates are terrific! Highly recommended if you listen to audiobooks.

Not sure what happened. I followed all directions. My phone's audiobook folder was AudioBooks . I installed the program and specified AudioBooks as the root and it worked fine. It wouldn't recognize any added books. I tried a LOT. I renamed the root to MyAudiobooks and changed the root and now it works fine. Strange. But the developer WAS attentive.

Awesome audio book player. No BS. You get a 30 day trial, but the app is still usable with basic features after. It feels like it was made by someone who loves to listen to audiobooks and has pretty much anything one would want from it. It is perhaps obvious, but the app also has several donation options 1.99 is to unlock features but allows to donate more. The description is not clear, but higher donations also unlocks pro features.

It Works like it should. I bought it after 2 days of use. Ive been listening to audiobooks while at work. I wanted something that would remember my place. Google and audible are great if u buy content from them. But they suck otherwise. The other "free apps" I tried were either glitchy or too full of ads. I like that this offers the option of a no-ad version. It has MORE FEATURES THAN ALL THE OTHER APPS. I think $1.99 is a fair price for something useful. It's Cheaper than a basic Starbucks.

Edit:Years and years later, and i still love this app. My review stands. Worth every penny x1000. I'll never use another app for my audio books. I bought the premium upgrade years ago, and it's been worth every penny x100. I use this app all the time. Hands down the best audio book app I've ever used, and that includes audible. The fact that it's still being updated all these years later is amazing.

30 day trial of premium features before a one time $2 buck charge to maintain them. Extremely generous offer, of course I took it. Would recommend this service! I use it along with an external sleep timer (the in-app sleep timer often breaks) to listen to a bit of my book every night. Over the past month I've managed to complete about 15 chapters, and I've still got plenty to go. I listen to other audiobooks with this app occasionally while in the car.

LOVE this app. My favorite audiobook player & most intuitive. Still waiting for the auto download for entire library of covers/info option. Also, I think it would be cool to see audiobooks in gridview (looking for a similar layout to moonreader does for our ebooks). These are totally just suggestions tho, that I would love to see, but definitely not complaints because this app is pretty amazing. It's so nice to have an app that is this fluid to use, and works so well. Thnx! ❤️

Something that happens rarely, but has been inconvenient when it does happen, is with the app closed down (swiped away from the previously opened view), the app will start playing the current book when the power button is pressed to open the phone. The problem is that I don't have media turned on unless headphones are plugged in, so the book is just playing away for how ever long I'm on the phone. There's no notification and the app is definitely closed. Edit: it is CLOSED completely. Gone.

Great app overall! It's the best app I could find for listening to your own audiobooks. It has everything you and is stable. That said, there is room for improvements. - When the app is open the notification bar, a swipe should remove it permanently and close the app. I found that it will come back into the notification bar. You can hit the 'x' and that works, but a swipe should do the same. - The UI seems dated. Libby app's UI is something to strive for. Take a look at their audiobook plyr

This has been my audiobook player for years. I love everything about it. It's easy to use, low maintenance, and always works. Sadly I think I'm moving away from it though, only because it requires the book to be physically stored in an accessible folder. I'm switching to using my Plex server to house my audiobooks, and I would 100% use this app the rest of my life if you could integrate with Plex.

Came back to this app after a few years, and still more than happy with it. Has some great features regarding stopping play after a certain time - which is great as I listen when going to bed (helps me sleep), and I know the maximum time it has gone forward, so I can work backwards to where I remember to start the next time. EDIT: Found History (3dots>More>History) which takes me exactly where I hit play when I went to bed - a few skips forward to find where I fell asleep).

I had a huge issue with the app at first. It was randomly stopping for minutes at a time. The buttons were laggy and wouldn't navigate. I started looking around the settings and found the decoder settings and changed it to the system decoder and it's worked perfectly ever since.

Can rewind from one chapter/file to previous one! I love the sleep timer schedule! Even let's you choose to swap the fast forward and rewind on Bluetooth headphones! For my headphones, a double tap is forward but triple for back. When I am listening to audiobooks I almost always want a quick rewind, so awesome that now that's just a double tap!!

no ability to access specific audiobooks from Android home page. author has no interest in providing this functionality. Not sure what is not clear. If I want a widget of say to call contact 1 of my contacts I can do that. But I cannot select a specific audiobook as a widget. How hard can that be??? 1000 audiobooks. I'd like to be able to always select any of say 10 books. Just as I can create shortcut to call 10 contacts. It's a no brainer!!! Pleaseeeeee

This seems to be the best Audiobook manager and player, but still super disappointing in 1 major respect. It doesn't read the metadata in m4b files... Which means, it doesn't load album art which is already there, or genres, or any of the other sorting fields. Instead, I have to manually click on every single audiobook, manually type every book, and search for images... When the data is already there!?

Not sure how else to reply to your response, so I'm responding here. I've switched from the "App1" to the "App2" If that doesn't clear the battery use issue, I'll try the "System" I'm not sure what happened, but this app is burning through 30% of my battery despite only having 9 minutes of screen time. The background process is drawing this even when nothing is playing. Anyone know why this is so? Otherwise, a good interface. I wish that it didn't tack all the M4B files up into one book, too.

The best tool for the job! The only feature I wish it had that it doesn't is a way to access home servers to stream audiobooks, I have a large collection on my computer that I use as a media server and have to remember which audiobooks I have transferred to my phone when I take a trip, however this may just be an Android issue as Android makes that difficult in the first place. Also the casting can be a little spotty at times, but honestly those are small, nit-picky problems.
