Nice and sleak travel guide in your phone. I installed the app before my Prague trip and so far I am really enjoying the experience. Big thumbs up for prepared virtual tours and audio recordings with interesting and fun facts. I am also happy to see it all works offline.

I've been using the 'Smart Guide' app for a few weeks now, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer for me. As someone who loves to explore new cities and countries, I often find myself overwhelmed with all the options and information available. That's where 'Smart Guide' comes in - it's like having a personal tour guide in your pocket! One of the things I love about this app is how user-friendly it is. The interface is clean and simple.

I used today the offline content for Chichen Itza and I paid 9€ for this single sightseeing. I like the geolocation tracking but half of the times the auto-play did not work - it played only first two seconds and then stopped. The other thing is that the guide is outdated. Two parts of the path showed in the app are closed forever and one big part is in renovation, so in the end I had to skip some stops. If the price is 3€ I think it is worth it, but 9€ not at all.

I used this app in Solvang, CA and everything worked just as it should. There were 21 points of interest and a short recording on each one that was informative. It can even go to the point of interest where you currently are if you enable that. It was better and more professional than I was expecting for a free app.

interesting content for Prague guide, but almost instantly makes the phone overheat and uses a HUGE amount of battery (tried it on two phones). not recommended until they update the app and fix this.

We just finished a trip to Quebec City using this app. By following the route recommended by this app, we visited the old Quebec City. This app is terrific! It shows the details of important sites along the route by both audios and texts automatically, as soon as you get there. I highly recommend this to everyone.

Installed after suggestion by Pilzen Tourism authority, thinking was a decent app. Very slow to load any function, up to ten seconds between tapping and opening. Itineraries for cities like Prague are quite detailed and precise, the explanatory notes are good enough even if badly translated, or with trivial comments. The worse of this app is the battery life. If you keep it open it will drain your battery to zero in half a day. On my phone was keeping the location routine active even when closed

Great list of recommendations 👌 for places to visit that are lesser known.

The guide for stockholm looks good, on my Huawei p20 pro the audio guide is also available in German. However, on a Google pixel 6 there is no German audio guide and a download of the offline content would also cost additional. This either looks like a bug or like a business strategy I cannot understand... Edit: Offline use is available and works fine. Thanks.

This application is amazing! We used it in Venice for a free walking tour and there were a bunch of routes to choose from, with alot of monuments and history to see. We got the opportunity to find and explore alot of hidden gems. Since then I find myself using this application everywhere we go. It is a must if you are going to new destinations! 😁

The app is useful except for turning in the gps all the time forever even if the app is currently not being used, and killing my phone batteries for over a month before I found it was the one responsible for that

We used it for chichen itza and thought it was brilliant, gave us a path to follow with great info at each site. Our experience would not have been the same without it! We downloaded it to use offline and worked perfectly, even had a lovely quote to finish our tour "travelling is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer". Will definitely use again and hope they add more sites!

Horrible accent, poor command of the English language, terrible pronunciation and cheesy humour. The idea is excellent, but ruined by the narration.

Palermo audio tour is a 2 minute Wikipedia read out with robo voice and presumably LLM generated text summary. Thanks, but no. App itself is well executed though.

Cool idea and walking tours to choose from. Stability of app should improve, it's getting stuck loading or showing errors so I need to reinstall it often to make it work which is not user friendly especially because you never know when will it stop working. It may be better for downloaded content, but I am not willing to pay for the app that doesn't work all the time

Just finished walking the NYC West Village route, and it was bad. Audio directions are mostly non-existent (NONE of the actual POIs directed me what to do next) or terrible (walk towards X, when i may not know where X is). No way to make it without looking at the map. Map itself is buggy, zoom level and rotation resets often, map often refuses to manually rotate, compass arrow point the wrong way after rotating). Hard to understand what POIs refer to. Not enough POIs. Just... underwhelming :(

Said it would work without internet of downloaded in advance. I got to Chichen Itza and the map feature did not work. So I was trying to correlate a single small picture to figure out what ruin I was at, so I could listen to the proper audio. The audio itself was very underwhelming also. I did this one first out of necessity, I'm sure there are better apps.

I use this as a backup option for audio tours if Rick Steve's doesn't offer one. The app does require a lot of permissions and can use a lot of battery. The quips and comparisons in the guides are jarring (AI generated) and should be removed. I wish there was an option to switch between the detailed and simple audio guide since I had to listen both in Brussels. It's nice that some of the tours are free.
