when we first got our new furnace and the app, it was working, I was able to control the thermostat with my phone. after the app "updated" it doesn't work at all. it refuses to pair with my thermostat, even when I am standing right next to it to get it to pair with my phone, it says it can't find it. I am super frustrated right now.

Additional Update: Dev responded saying I should download the latest version. At time of writing that version was out the day before my review so certainly doesn't fix the issues I'm having like the dev claims (I update every evening). I had to remove some of my initial review because of character limits here. Previous all, despite its issues, was still better. This is a classic case of a company trading function for form, this looks prettier but it's less useful. whole thermostat is offline

This updated app is not an improvement. When I open the app, it takes me to the install screen, which I have to open before I can log in. More importantly, it does not give the right information. When the AC is running, it says the unit is idle. Please revert to the old app or improve on the user experience with the new app. Thank you.

Does not work. I spent 1 year trying to download apps and figure out how to program your smart thermostat,not too smart. Just to run a simple schedule. With the old app. Then, out of the clear blue, Carrier says we no longer support this app. I can not get the new app to respond. Not very good customer support or a quality product with my experience. I can't get a $1,400.00 thermostat to do what a $45.00 used to do. Why do I have to spend so much time and money on what should be a simple thing

View the weather and Air Quality, will not load. it says error loading the weather data on the app, or weather data not available. please fix this. I have restarted the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and completely removed it from the wall unit and reset it. it still doesn't work. I have had problems with the app ever since you changed it. 6-2-2025,. As of today, June 17, it still doesn't work. Please fix

The app is decent too use, but the touch wheels to change temperature to a specific number can be hard to use accurately. Also, only 4 temperature profiles are available, without the option to create, delete, or rename. Please let me create more temperature profiles so I can best utilize my solar power array at different times of the day.

I see you fixed a few bugs a few days ago. I have yet to have any contact or support from Carrier, no called as promised and no one has emailed. After your update it opened, finally. I don't care for it. Old app opened right to the thermostat, this one doesn't. I would like to have the outdoor temperature. I would like the old darker display brought back or the option to choose. Where is the filter reminder?

You force me to dump the old app (which was no prize, but at least had some functionality) and now I login to this train wreck, and after going through the pretty pictures it is dead on arrival! Extraordinary. From reading several other comments it is apparent that once again you have no interest in resolving this problem. It has been over a month since it's release. Your gear is proprietary so as customers of very expensive equipment we have no options, shame on you.

I know the older app had issues, but most of those had to do with app connectivity and it had improved. And now we have this piece of garbage. For one: where is the outside temp reading we used to have. For another, you cram all the menu options at the bottom of the overlage indoor temp display, like something an amatuer web designer would do for a first design class. You've really messed up with this one. I tried to stick with the old one and now you're forcing me to use the new one.

There is nothing on the screen for me to click on. it just says "Stay connected to your home. Get e-mail and real time alerts to keep your home running efficiently. Important notifocations. Get notified of key system events." It appears to have more writing below it but the screen is locked and doesn't move and there's nothing to click on, so I can't do a thing with this "improved" app.

Will not connect to my device. carrier used to have an awesome app that matched my Carrier smart thermostat. That app worked perfectly and gave me control anywhere in the world. They changed it and created an app that was NOTHING like my thermostat. But, it did connect, for a while. One day, it stopped working and later started reporting that it could not connect. Now this new app wil not connect. I verified all of my wifi, my thermostat is set correctly... used the QR code... trash!

this is one of the worst forced upgrades. First, the app opens to the same "new app" or "upgrade"screen. You must select one of the options in order to get to the main screen. 2nd it is not intuitive. 3rd you can not see what your thermostat is like before. Instead you need to keep jumping around the app to see the different settings.

The old app was very responsive and accurate. This new one is buggy, lags and always showing the wrong info. Always having to go to the stat itself to manage, only to find the app suddenly overrides what I just changed at the stat, back to what it was at before or off by 1 or 2 degrees. Zones always showing the wrong temperature on the app, vs what is actually on the stat/smart sensor display.

It is difficult to change the thermostat settings including the temperature. I changed the temp and over an hour later it still said the original temp. I closed and opened the app several times frantically trying to set the temperature for some guests going to our house. I went through everything I could think of to change it. Finally, for no reason, the app showed it had actually changed the temp and the unit had run and it had gone down to the right temp which I had set over an hour before.

The app is okay but lacks severely in being able to set detailed schedules with specific temperatures and specific times instead of just a range. Have tried to set the schedules it has, then it goes and changes things the way it wants, not what I set. It also doesn't report actual temperature. It often shows a temperature that is either one or two higher or lower than the current temperature. It also doesn't always keep the settings as you set them, and you have to go back and change it again.

Why do you not only change the app, but change the name? Now it shows up as "smart home" instead of "carrier" making it hard to find because no one is going to remember the name. Pick a name please. Pick a design and system for the app and stick with it. The first iteration years ago under a different name worked more efficiently. And the second time I log in, the password isn't saved and have to manually re-enter, yet now it doesn't work and need a new password for the new app. Can I rate 0*

app doesn't work at all. I have an infinity system that cost $12,000 two years ago. it has a brand new infinity smart stat due to warranty. This app always shows the status wrong. I still use the old app that looked and worked just like the thermostat. Carrier is junk updating my review 8/19/2025. App is still so slow to respond. Like 45 sec. You can only usage for the last two days and the last two months. no way to see the current month usage. where is a chart for each month. I miss my ecobee

Never works! I have to uninstall and reinstall the app every day in order to use it. I keep receiving a screen that says "oops something went wrong. contact support". clearing cache doesn't work. Frustrating, especially considering there's no integration with other platforms (i.e. Google home) and how expensive the HVAC system was to install!!

This app started off a complete mess!! Now after 2 updates within 1 week, it is working a little better. Unfortunately it still isn't entirely right. The rate at which my variable speed AC is running at, doesn't show correctly on the app. It is wrong 90% of the time. Frustrating that it still doesn't work right. update 8/28 ver. 1.2.20 no help at all.

Obtuse interface. Terrible font size choices and menus makes it hard to find the information you want like the set point is huge but the current temp & humidity are small, outside temperature is gone! Hard to get to the energy usage info. It is hard to believe that these products can keep getting worse but they seem to find a way... With an interface this poor I will stick with the former poor app that at least has some experience on it.
