Update: The app has grown even worse! They've eliminated playing songs from your device, and now can't even control your library! Speakers are good. The sound quality is great. The app itself is growing continually worse, though. Stopped device playback capabilities, and now can't control music library from host device. For this kind of money, this is unacceptable. #fixtheapp

update: lol it keeps getting worse. you only gave us the ability to replace the entire queue? maybe check a dixtionary for the definition of "queue" Inconsistent basic feature implementation between major services, and a recent update broke key features. Unfortunately par for the course with Sonos, and despite the generally fantastic quality and sound of their hardware, lets me know I'd be better off with a different manufacturer when I upgrade. Change my mind, Sonos. 😥

Awesome speakers, horrible app. Two weeks ago, when I opened the app, it said, "No system found." I tried everything the internet suggested, but nothing worked. I primarily use the app to turn on night mode or turn off night mode, and I can't use it or anything else in the app for that matter. The speakers still work, but I can't modify them at all.

Missing features present in older versions, most importantly searching and interacting with a local library as before, among other surprising omissions. Update: still a poor experience. Can't search my local library, library not updating, no option to manually update. System constantly not found. Control delays seem a little better? The Sonos ads are terrible. Why do I need to sign in to see my recent plays? The forced terms of service was a terrible look in the most recent update.

I loved the app and the speakers when I first got them, but Sonos has a habit of crippling their own products. The latest app removes the ability to stream music from your own NAS. For a networked speaker. It can't play files on the network. It reminds me of Microsoft. If everything is working, and you're happy, they will go out of their way to change that for you. I'm not sure exactly what their business model is, but it doesn't seem to include repeat customers.

Lots of "Something went wrong" errors keep popping up as I select different YouTube music to play... But I don't see anything wrong. Useless spam errors at this point it's annoying. Also, you removed persistent Now Playing notifications? Come on. Long playlists with more than 100 tracks don't have names show up right after the 100th track. Some of these bugs are downright ridiculous. smh

The most recent update is trash. The app takes a full minute or longer to find my system, and the delay is response is unacceptably long. I will often stop music 4 or 5 times before the app and speakers communicate. Likewise the loss of versatility with alarms is frustrating. I cannot share enough that had this been the experience when I was first looking at Sonos, I would have not bought the speakers I have.

Frustrating app! They keep removing functionality, playing through YouTube music has been an awful experience for years. But with their latest update the app is barely usable! I'm struggling to navigate to simple areas and they have removed the ability to edit your queue (?! What?!). I used to love Sonos and recommend them to everyone but their quality has been dropping for a while now and I am urging people to stay away.

Terrible. I've been a Sonos customer for a decade and owned around 10 products. This last year of app updates has been horrible. Not only way difficult to play basic music but twice as many clicks. And now moving to a new house and new network, what used to be 5 minutes to setup has taken a couple hours. Find. Wait. And wait. Cant find. Factory reset. Adding. Updating. App crashes. Speaker disappears. Repeat. Times all speakers. Once these end of life, I won't be replacing with more. : (

What the ____ have you done to your app? Just leave it alone. It worked perfectly, update, sign in again, find it on the network again. All good. Update, repeat, "no device found", rinse, repeat. Somehow it comes back to life, but no idea why. Updates are supposed to improve the experience and/or performance. My wife had to hold me back from putting our speakers in recycle.

I've used this app for several years. It wasn't user friendly, but it wasn't terrible. Until now. Something is evidently screwed up in the integration with Alexa, and not only is it impossible to fix the problem myself (despite hours of troubleshooting and attempted resets and workarounds), it is impossible to get any assistance from Sonos. This is a big black eye on what used to be a decent company. This is basic stuff we're talking about here - voice assistants have been around for years. Sad.

Rarely leave reviews, but feel it's warranted here. This new app has made what was once a fantastic home sound ecosystem into something that is frustrating and filled with bugs. When using this new app, I am often greeted with 'no system detected'. Response time from selecting music to playing on speakers has slowed significantly (if it works). Now, instead of a huge advocate for sonos, I caution others to stay away unless they fix the performance. @Sonos: please do something!

Ruined a great system with latest update. The app is slow, unstable, and it's become incredibly difficult to do the basic function of choosing a room and selecting what music to play there. Volume up and down, starting and stopping music, can take 20 seconds. I have 6 sonos devices, a huge investment of their over priced equipment, now hostage to this awful update.

Garbage update, often doesn't work. I inherited this system with the house I bought. The old version of this app, while not great, at least always worked. With the new version, I will often get a notice "no system found" - sometimes when it is still playing the music I'm streaming! It is also moronic that you need to log in/share location information for a system which is and always will be physically in the house.

Terrible functionality. When I open the app it almost always says "cant find system". I have to force close the app and restart it just to get it to work. Also, I have big problems linking rooms together to play the same playlist in several areas. I've simply given up and just play different playlists. I expected more from Sonos. This app needs to be fixed immediately.

The sound quality of the speakers is great. The app is terrible and voice control is dumber than a box of rocks. The recent app update also managed to lose my speakers and break my system. Update: Here we are a month later and this trash is unusable. The voice assistant won't play what I ask. The app won't detect the Sonos. This system is garbage.

Frustrating. I have two Sonos devices. Both worked great until the new app update. Now, one will connect about 25% of the time and the other about 10%. Every time I navigate away from the app and come back, it says "No products found." Even if I am able to connect and start playing music, once I put down my phone and come back a few minutes later the music will continue playing but I'm unable to adjust the volume, skip a song or even turn it off. I have to unplug the device. 6/6 - Even worse

The latest version of the Sonos app is not a quality product. They have removed many features that have been working fine for many years. The new interface may look more contemporary, but everything takes more swipes, scrolling, and touches than before and more than it should. The networking is now glitchy. Volume controls are not responsive. There is a delay in just about everything you do. Sonos has taken a working app and has broken it with the promise that someday all will be better again.

The latest update is the worst. When I try to add sonos move to existing group that is playing music...." unable to connect" . When using Move via Bluetooth the pause/play button on the Move no longer works. I won't even get into the lousy search interface. Why on earth did they try to fix something that wasn't broken with a major change? Incremental changes are the way to go. Bring back the old app!

This used to be a decent app. Not perfect, but it was great for playing and managing my music from various sources, including my personal music library that I have been adding to for over 20 years. The most recent update not only lacks a few key, standard features, like searching my music library, and adding to the existing queue, but the entire app is unacceptablely slow, just to open, and takes from a few seconds to a full minute to change any settings like speakers, volume, tracks, etc...
