Easy to use interface; however, i find that it often changes from release to release. Not sure it its Sonos or the linked apps (i.e, Spotify etc.) that manage how they work and look in Sonos, but it feels like a lot of changes happen in the UI per release. In terms of the app and sonos in general, no complaints, I love it!

Love the sound. Hate the app. Why can't we stream via Bluetooth? For the price that was paid for this system, there should be more options to stream. Why are we limited to one wireless connection? I can't connect on different Wi-Fi connections. This is frustrating and I want to return this product if this is going to change. It should not be this hard to listen to my music. I'm a very unhappy customer! Please do better!!!!!

The Sonos app frustrates me almost daily. It changes feeds all the time. For example, if I play music with the volume up, stop the music, and turn on the television later, the app switches to the television and cranks up the sound to the previous level. If I want the soundbar on, I can turn it on. I do not need it turned on automatically. Also, if I turn down the app when the TV is selected, but later open the app on my phone, the volume changes to what the phone had it set to last. The app also overrides previous speaker selections. I live by myself in a small house. I always want it in "Party Mode." I really hate the automatic features changing what

Love the Sonos concept. There are some bugs, not sure who's issue it is to fix. For example, making playlists from spotify is problematic. I had some issues with Sonos net in the past but that seems to be ok currently. Sonos is one of those things that I could have a love hate relationship with love it because its amazing when it works & hate it when I have issues. Currently I gave a score of 80%, because there are some issues, but I have chosen to ignore the things that I can't get to work.

I love the speakers. I have two Play 5 speakers in stereo mode. The app, on the other hand, I am not so crazy about. I use it on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The app is difficult to navigate, hard to return to a previous screen, find myself having to start over to go backwards, it frequently does not play songs on my Android device through to the end before it skips to the next track. Does just fine with streaming services, however.

For as much as these speakers cost, it should be better. The sound is still terrific! Double A+, really. But the app, though better, still needs work. I have to hit several buttons to turn off the link; as if I don't know I want to close the app. & it still gets buggy about accessing my entire library (whether by cell or by laptop). By this point in time it's disappointing.

The S1 controller does what you need it to do, but is obviously no longer supported by the developers. They removed basic features like swapping the channel on your Wi-Fi network to prevent losing connection, but they left the option greyed out so you can feel obligated to buy new speakers. I would use an alternative app if any were available.

Love it...... when it works. App much improved. May 2019 Now rarely have connection issues. now give it 5 stars. Now February 2024 and app much less reliable. At times very quirky. i. e. Select one station and different one plays. Another issue is the annoying Tune In. I am using Sonos much less as a result. I realize not an app issue but important to me.

I wish zero was a possible rating. We have had Sonos for many years and the original app was the best. I cannot control my volume (when I turn it down, the app turns it up or does not respond at all) I can't even pause the music. If you can avoid updating, do so. The interface is also completely changed,, so it takes a while figure things out.

I don't know what's going on since the update, my Sonos beam. Can't connect the app. I find the beam, go through all the steps, and say they can't find my network. Everything is correct with passwords. Before the new app worked, I was able to play the music off my Samsumg S23 ultra phone android. Now, the only way I can play music is from my desktop computer. Horrible for what you pay for a Sonos product.. My JBL charge 5 connects to my network plays music through all apps.

This has worked without flaw since installation. However the latest controller has been installed on a pixel 6a running android 11.4 and I have yet listened to any music with the new controller. Install software message says finished, I press the done button and the next message asked me to load new software same sonario time after time after time. I've rebooted and reset everything for weeks, now I'm waiting up to 75 minutes for support pos

they obviously aren't paying attention to the original app and are actively screwing over 1st gen buyers. you have to constantly close and reopen the app to see what's currently playing. App WAS great, I've had sonos for 8 or 9 years. This last BIG update changed the whole layout and now you have to go 3 extra steps to do anything. It's terrible for the thousands you spent for the equipment.

Far better than the new Sonos app. It has all the functions I need, it doesn't lag, I don't have the "system not found" out of the blue issue and it just works. I refuse to upgrade my Playbar and Sonos Ones to the new app and I won't even buy new products for that matter alone. I gave 4 stars due to the persistent and annoying banner with the new Sonos app.

Update 1/24: do not recc. App needs support. So many issues for such an expensive product is unacceptable. Lacks functionality. Can't control volume unless you're in the app. Yesterday, every time I opened the app to control the music, it kept bringing me to a speaker that hadn't been in use instead of the active speaker. track time is often wrong: songs starting from the beginning but showing 0:25. Only providing treble and bass sliders is insufficient. Vol stabilization btw tracks is poor.

2024 Update: App is still garbage. Initial Review: Can't cast music from Android device, forced to use the Sonos app. Can't thumbs up/down songs when playing YouTube Music on the app, and can't cast to Sonos from YouTube Music app, so users are forced to use this horrific app where they can't customize favorite songs / songs they hate. App is a slow, cluttered, unintuitive mess.

Constantly "unable to connect" and I'm constantly resetting all my speakers. As an example of how bad this app is, Spotify will be playing through one of my speakers and the S1 app can't find the speaker while it is playing! And every time I open the app I am notified of new terms of service. No way to get rid of this notification

S1 is a complete disappointment. I purchased a Sonos 5 speaker last year only to find out it was incompatible with my existing Sonos speakers of the same age. I was able to install S1 and connect it but only after hard wiring it to Ethernet. After having to unplug it for a month, the app won't find it, so I started over again. I finally got it connected this morning. I went to play music again at bedtime and the app already forgot the speaker, even though the speaker picked up where it left off.

Only enjoyment I get out of my Sonos system is showing people why they shouldn't buy it! App is worthless. Won't spend anymore on Sonos speakers and products. Was such a wonderful product when I first bought it and could play my own music from my android and I could use the sleep timer every night. Now I just get a frozen screen. Regret the purchases.

Absolute GARBAGE! Sonos is hands down the biggest waste of money and time I have ever invested into any audio product. They are too complicated, too expensive and too EFF-ing FRUSTRATING! Do yourself a huge favor and buy some cheap-o bluetooth speaker somewhere, pair it to your phone and enjoy some music. Or you can have a set of massive paperweights like me that are perfect at one thing... collecting dust! Pathetic!

Sonos used to be great. Now, my system will work one day but not the next. I get messages like "unable to find your system" or "unable to play the selected item". I would say it might be user-error, but it's not like I'm doing anything to the system each day. This is clearly a Sonos issue. I know my speakers are older, but I never would have bought them if I knew Sonos would go downhill like this.
