Having severe hearing loss, even with hearing aids it is quite hard to hear phones, tablets and laptops and so for a few years this has been my favorite app for boosting the volume to a level that I can hear. Recently however, the adds are becoming more numerous and "stickier", harder to close. As such and even though it does a good job of boosting the volume, it is becoming more a nuisance than it is worth.

No longer good. After the new facelift. You very often have to go to the app and be shuffled all over the place to activate volume boost. Never had to do that before. Always somehow land at google and being offered to install something I didn't request. Can't simply leave my phone alone and have it remain where it was. This is dangerous because it is distracting while driving, especially since no changes were made by me, for us to have to access the app. Then you have no idea how long for volume

Simple, elegant user interface. Samsung Galaxy Note sounds great listening to Netflix. Netflix is NOTORIOUS for low volume. I had to use closed captioning. Now I hear perfect and there is no hissing or blaring of speakers. Perfect sound quality. I almost gave up on these apps as most are a joke and sound terrible. I am so glad I didn't. I also use Dishanywhere to watch live Tv and it works perfectly. Also works great with Googly Play Music. Headphones are expensive JVC. The boost is awesome. It is now relaxing listening to music and Netflix and Live-Tv, now that I can listen without headphones. I highly recommend this app.

I use this app almost every day - I definitely use it everytime I listen to anything. My phone volume is pathetic for music or standup comedy or talk radio even using earbuds without Speaker Boost. One of my very very most favorite and constantly used apps! EDIT: Sept 2018- I loved this app but recently "updated" it and it is radically changed. Full of constant annoying ads and it no longer functions nearly as well. I am very very sad about the changes. I guess the developer wanted or needed to make more money but it pretty much ruined the app for me.

Very good! This app has earned a very hard to earn 5 star rating from me! It does exactly what is advertised, has no ads, and it really works! No more having to fumble with the volume controls because of YouTube's crappy audio on some things. I simply leave this off until I am watching a documentary or something that has low, pathetic volume, then turn it on to boost things up to normal. The Dolby Surround on my phone is fine for mp3 and other pre-recorded stuff but is sketchy on YouTube. This app solves the problem without having to leave YouTube to make adjustments. Thank you for such a useful app!

Actually did what was advertised. It did raise the volume twice as much as was normally available by the phone alone without distortion. I would like an simple EQ function like just treble, bass, left and right would be perfect. However, it does have a large amount of ads. I understand that a revenue stream is warranted and I'm willing to support it, so where do I send my donation to remove the ads? Great jobs, looking forward to my bass :)

I've faithfully used speaker boost for years, across several phones. It has become less user friendly & more ad driven. But awhile back, when the app begin to load the ads b4 you can get to the settings, it went downhill for me. With poor signal, trying to watch downloaded shows, I can't even adjust the volume or boost without waiting & waiting & waiting for ads to load first. That's just ridiculous. Sometimes they just don't and so my whole show is interrupted. If you can't respect the user enough to make the ads secondary & less obtrusive (like they used to be), I am sure as heck not going to pay to remove them. I was a loyal user. You have moved in the wrong direction. And I am done.

LOUDDDD!😱👂👍👍👍 After extensive use it's still does what it does. My only comment is that it sometimes needs to be rebooted if you reconnect frequently. April 2019 After further exploration I find that if you turn it off, when using bluetooth, it it ready to go hard when you turn it back on. If you leave it on, when you reconnect, "it's not gonna be working" reboot! Sept 2019

Until you forced me to update I had a beautiful version of this Speaker booster. I highly dislike the find the close app X and all the crazy make me watch the commercial before I have to try to close it and then it lets me boost the speaker so it's wasted a lot of my time but it still one of the best out there on the market wish you could do something else for the ads. It works great with my headphones my Galaxy phone and my Bluetooth speaker so I'd have to say it works okay.

App actually works but ads are intrusive and the app will just stop boosting without any warning. Certain ads seems to allow the boost to stay on longer than others. It's annoying if you're commuting and have to turn on the phone just to turn the booster on again, again and again... If you don't have Internet access connected at the time the ad won't show up, but you have to keep turning your WiFi or mobile data on and off. The subscription price too much, reasonable price would make more $.

REAL TAWK, I didn't think it would work. I watch movies on my Android, and the results are A-MA-ZING! NO LIE! EX: My phone's ext. and int. speakers leave much to be desired. I normally have the volume maxed out just to enjoy my flicks. THIS app MADE ME JUMP! I'm talking about the natural reaction when you're startled! Speaker Boost increased the volume of my Beats©! I've NEVA been able to turn the volume down with excellent buds. It really works great. Thanks Y'ALL from Dallas, TX.

Wow. It wants a credit card auto-start subscription of $14.99 a year before it even lets you GET INTO the app for your "free" 3 day trial. Sadly, for them, I'd have paid it if it actually worked! Now? I just feel glad I see their business model BEFORE I got conned. To App Developer: Let your product deliver revenue rather than people forgetting to cancel and getting charged. Yeah, I know lowest common denominator is easier/cheaper than good product development.

update: 6'19: no longer working. now doesnt work on my blu. Uninstalled. Prev. update 1'19: used to work well in 2016/2017! now opens with 1+minute adverts with fake "x" click-to-close icons, that trick you into opening the play store to force another random download, but which won't actually close that advert. early. Much slower start-up than ot used to have. Repetitive adds get longer and longer.

The app works fine, my biggest issue, and it's a big one, you have to sit through a very long as every time you open the app either to turn on or turn off the volume booster. There is an option to remove ads but it's a subscription. That's a problem. Beside all that, the link to subscribe is also broken so it's not like you can even relent and give these people your money. Realistically though, why should I spend 30 a year for something other apps will let me pay a single 2.99 fee for.

Sometimes, I have to uninstall and then install it again if it stops working, restart my phone, or simply go back to the app and deal with a very quick ad. I also have to make sure the phone volumes muted before I connect it to my earphones. Otherwise, it won't work. The alarm can still be high though, so that's good. Overall, I like my music to be loud and out of all the other ones (and trust me, I've tried a LOT of them) this is the easiest to use, the less buggy and work the best.

I like Speakerboost because neither of my devices have all the volume they need. You do have to be careful though, not because it might damage one's speakers, though it might, but rather because the app sometimes distorts the sound so background music can be louder than the spoken word. Using it a boost of 20 to 30 % is plenty and it should be used only if the music on the TV show you're watching isn't already overbearing.

so far so great! I've heard this app has too many ads and eventually stops working/fades out but I haven't had any issues at all. I just downloaded this app though. it has boosted my volume A LOT! and best of all, it doesn't sound distorted or scratchy!! this is the best volume booster app I have found so far n I've tried quite a few. n there hasn't been any ads at all for me. 👍🏻

This app was good before the admin got greedy. I'm cool with ads, it supports the app. And I'm not going to pay for an app that I use maybe once every two months, another reason I'm okay with ads. But launching a full page video ad the minute you start the app that you can't close is just ridiculous. On a sound boost app at that. So I'm boosting the sound on my phone, and then the app opens a full-page full volume ad when I'm trying to go and turn the boost off. Good stupid design.

I have had this for years.... I love it, but was disappointed when 3 was paying monthly and when the company switched to 3 yearly payment, I was charged for the month it started being yearly, then was charged for the year, starting with the month I already paid for. I tried and got no results. The booster isn't kidding at all when it warns you if ear and phone speaker damage, I almost overdid it myself once. Only booster that don't make it look good, but an illusion to look good. This is REAL

Out of seven or more, volume boosters that I downloaded, only to find that they were extremely difficult to use OR flat out didn't work..... This app is easy to use and is very loud (if I care to have it that high). I seriously didn't expect it to work but I am extremely HAPPY with it!!!! Will never change to another volume booster...
