Would go to 5 stars except a few small bugs . The grammar courses and vocabulary trainings are fantastic in content (better way to learn than Duolingo or babbel) however they are buggy when used in an on/offline scenario, like practicing in the Subway when service is spotty. The quiz loads while on then if you complete it offline, it allows next course but the completion flag is lost. Seeing this as a minor bug, I wish for it to be fixed so that it becomes a perfect learning and practicing tool.

Love the Website. App has one huge flaw. I love to open the app to take a daily spanish lesson and learn one or two new words a day. I use SpanishDict so much that I paid for a subscription. But the one thing that the website has over the app is that the website allows you to click on each conjugated verb to show you examples used in sentences. I try clicking each conjugated word on the app and the only option it gives you is how to say it. The "examples" tab of a word is not nearly as specific

Would give a 5 star but I am hoping developers will notice this. I used to have an iphone but have switched to a Google Pixel. On the iPhone i was able to search up a word and add it directly to vocabulary lists but this feature is not available on my version. Also, you should be able to add words to list even if they are conjugated differently as right now you have to look up basic verb form, which can cause problems with irregular verbs. Otherwise great learning tool.

Seriously the best Spanish dictionary app ever! It gives you the definition, different usages, example sentences, conjugations. Everything you could ever need. Since I've pretty well mastered Spanish, I moved on to learning French and there just aren't any apps as good as SpanishDict. They're the best, hands down! Please consider making apps for other languages!

Excellent app BUT I have a suggestion. It'd be great if you could "Star" terms (like the word of the day or a term from the vocabulary flashcards) into a Starred folder that you can repeatedly go back to, to study on your own the terms you need to and for repetitions sake. That'd be AWESOME! So I really hope they see this review. LOVE the app!!

Wow. I've had this app for like 20 minutes and OMG I can so see the potential for deeper learning and understanding of the Spanish language! So diverse in categories, and I love that I can click what I would like focus on (awesome because I want to focus on what's relevant to me first.) I'm being exposed to such a broader vocabulary (I feel like Duolingo can be too repetitive) which, I also love about the quizzes. They repeat more often what I need help with. Totally subscribing. Awesome app

I was able to delete 3 other apps because this one has everything you need to learn Spanish including verb conjugation and videos of real people having conversations. Though the premium is a bit steep, it offers enough free stuff to still be a five star app. My only wish is for a built in mic so I don't have to type single finger on my phone. My mic won't work with Spanish. Also, a placement test would be nice just because I'm already in my 2nd year. However, to review is good. Five stars!

One of my most beloved apps. I paid to remove the ads because I want to support the developers. Note: Ad removal used to be a one-time fee, but they changed it to an annual fee. When I switched from my iPhone to an android, I lost the ability to favorite words, which is very disappointing. I emailed to ask about this a year ago, and they promised it would be added soon - however, I'm still waiting for this to happen. Overall, it's a great app, that does what it says. I use it daily and do feel the positives definitely outweigh any negatives of the app. I especially love the video translations! This app also has one of the most comprehensive word collections and translations. For certain words, they tell you if the word is used only in a particular geographic area or if it's slang, which is incredibly helpful when you communicate with people from different countries. I highly recommend this app for English or Spanish users of all levels.

Must-have go-to app for your Spanish language learning needs. It not only includes audio and a sentence analyzer, but it has this convenient "Conjugation" tab that allows you to check out every possible conjugation of a given verb - VERY helpful! This is so much more than most dictionaries, and a lot of work has obviously gone into this app. I use it all the time and have found no other app its equal, to be honest. I love it.

I love SpanishDict. It's so easy to use and complete. One thing would make it even more convenient is if we could click on a word in a special way, in kindle, or wherever we're reading, and have SpanishDict automatically look up the word for us. Then, there would have to be an easy way (one click) to go back to where we're reading. Also, I have already paid for SpanishDict, which I'm happy to do, since I love it and depend on it. However, I keep getting notices asking me to pay again. Argh.

Really easy to use better than Duolingo, Babel, and it is freeeee! I would like a faster way to navigate to the pronunciation short videos. You have to search word, then click examples, then click pronunciation, then click the video. A quick link that takes you straight to the video would be great to add. I love all the conjugation resources and quizzes. 12/10.

I love this app! It has most definitions, you can type in any word and it figured out the root verb if it has been conjugated, has audible pronunciation option so you can hear how it should sound in English and Spanish, has the different definitions from different types of Spanish from different areas and countries, uses each one in a sentence, and then has a tab with all the conjugations. I cannot say enough good things about this app!! Still great!

This app has a lot of great reference material. The dictionary and vocab lists with clips for pronunciation help a lot, and the structure of the lessons are very practical. However, for some reason in the writing exercises, I have to press every key twice. You can disable them, but I don't want to because they're otherwise very useful, so it's a bit of a pain. Also, the ads partially cover the space you write in. I'd pay for the premium features when I'm able to, but for now it's frustrating.

I've previously used this site to communicate to Hispanic persons due to how I'm close to South America and used to get connected to their servers. Unexpectedly this worked perfectly as a way to help others understand me and vice versa, so I'd give this app a very high review. Also it helped me through school a while back and to see it's still working this good after roughly 5 years of discovery it's honestly just great.

I've enjoyed using this app! It's handy for looking things up all the random times I want to check specific palabras de español throughout the day. I also love the flashcards. I feel like the flashcards have genuinely helped me expand my vocabulary a little more comprehensively than with things like Duolingo. I like Duo too, but the vocabulary you get there is weirdly specific and repetitive. I think this app (and website) has had a lot of love and care put into it.

Excellent app, full of resources and tools to learn Spanish with just the free tier alone. Where other apps just have lessons and tidbits of grammar, this offers: lessons, vocab cards, conjugation drills, and a full robust dictionary with common everyday phrases and idioms. Truly an invaluable resource for the Spanish learner. Only issues are that the vocab cards could be larger on mobile, and a dark mode for night time use is desperately needed with how bright all the white is.

I've been using Spanish dictionary for about 2 years now and I love you using it. It actually helped me improve my Spanish a lot. The only reason why I gave it four stars is because some settings are different when using it on my iPhone versus when I'm using it on my Google Pixel device. I work in sales so I utilize both phones daily and I wish the same settings were accessible on Android and iPhone .

No apps get the translations right all the time. This one does a decent job enough of the time. I appreciate the usage examples showing how words are used in context. It can't translate some words from Spanish to English that it CAN translate from English to Spanish. Ex: It knows "priestess" is "sacerdotisa," but it can't translate "sacerdotisa" into English, weirdly. It gets thrown off by single letter typos. I wish it'd offer more than one result for phrase translations, as it does for words.

I appreciate this app! It's giving me a taste of Spanish (of which I knew nothing before!) and allows me to learn at my own pace (slow!)... I am mostly interested in speaking Spanish - not in writing it, so while I understand the reasons for emphasizing spelling and correct accent placement, etc., I make so many typos on my phone that it can be frustrating when it won't let me move on until I correct my errors. But I don't let that stop you from downloading it to increase your Spanish abilities

Very useful. Worth paying for. SD is a great dictionary and thesarus with many usage examples. The grammar tutorials are very well done. At times, the explanations in english are very helpful in understanding the context especially if the context is new. I have used this app to start as a novice and proceed to advanced. I recommend this app on the phone and laptop.
