EASY AND QUICK. I posted my ad and found a true good candidate to take my current roommates spot within 2-3 days, we met up and hashed it over on details and boom. Done. I didn't need to upgrade but I did have over a month to plan. If you need a place or person within a week or so definitely do but I was surprised that everyone was real. I haven't encountered any bots or spam. I was amazed at the simplicity yet detail it goes into as well. Good job app developers 👍

I was new to SpareRoom. Very pleased with all the legit professional responses I received for my extra room. I did so many interviews & all of them were so amazing it made it hard to choose. Great to have too many options than not enough for a change. Paid for the premium subscription. So worth it all! I have the worst experiences with these kind of things usually. Nice to write a good review fir a change. Thanks Spareroom

I used this app when I urgently need a roommate to help with the rent of a 2 bedroom apartment. I had no where to go and I just signed a lease I couldn't afford. I posted an add for a room for rent on January 30th and I found a great new roommate by February 3rd. I would have been completely screwed without this app. I got to screen people by viewing their profiles so u was able to find someone I was comfortable with in a very short amount of time. This app saved me big time.

It's pretty easy to navigate and filter for me and I've had a lot of luck getting responses to my ads. The website is a little wonky but my experience with the app has been pretty seamless. I can't remember the details now but I do think the ad set up process could be improved a bit, especially when trying to go back and edit.

Excellent app was able to find a rental easily and there were plenty of wonderful options to choose from. Every ad I contacted responded in a timely manner and I found exactly what I was looking for easily and for the right price. Thank you spare room for taking something typically strenuous and making it fast and pain free.

I've used spare room to find a roommate three or four times now and it only takes a couple of weeks and I find somebody that fits. It's easy to use and it's not confusing to pick up your messages. Some sites I've used I couldn't figure out if I gotten a message or not but not with spare room it's very upfront and easy. Great user interface. If I need another roommate I will definitely use spare room.

This app is the only platform I listed my room for rent on, and I found a great roommate quicker than I expected. & It really was free. I had alot of inquiries from real people who were serious about moving in. There was a couple people who were not how they portrayed themselves to be on the app, but that's inevitable.

I have now found two of my roommates from this app. I have paid both times, so people could contact me for free. my wife and I also searched through ads of people looking for rooms and contacted the ones that seemed to fit our vibe. I like how the app gently coached me to expand my search and be a little more flexible (in this case, we were going to have no pets, but cats our roommate will mostly keep in her room works for us!)

Great at finding more "quality" tenants/roommates - quality being that Spareroom allows members to verify their identity through Spareroom's system by uploading identification documents and giving a marker to profiles that are verified, and then also because there's a small paywall / time based system in place for interested parties, it forces truly interested applicants/seekers to, literally, put their money where their mouth is if they want to contact an ad poster ASAP.

Working with the app, Spare Room USA has been a pleasant experience. The results for the areas in which I was searching were very much on target. There are still some answers to (my questions) be reviewed, and properties that I wasn't able to look at (yet?); but overall I expect to find my new home, and roommate(s), on this app (Spare Room USA).

For some reason app settings are encrypted in-app. Password reset emails aren't coming in and I have a profile that I want deleted and attempts to email support won't go through. Seems an awful like a data miming app or phishing scheme that collects data when users build a profile. Room searches aren't accurate to location. Close the app, reopen it, it wants you to create a new account. It has potential but runaround is too suspicious for me. Can't Uninstall until I'm sure accts deleted

Love! Used it to find a room for myself years ago and now use it to find tenants for the spare bedrooms in my home! Wish it let me upload more pictures, but otherwise this app is wonderful for finding roommates. The fee for early bird contacts is a bit annoying but really there are so many other posts that you're left with plenty of options, so it doesn't matter much.

This is useless.Nobody posting the ad/rm responds to my messages. Just because you upgrade doesn't mean they can message you back or will. Many ads are exp or no longer avail; they should be removed.What is the point of paying a premium If you get no results. Some of the filters are glitchy. Especially the radius and map filter. Also there is no way to call/ exch numbers, yet most ads are asking to call them? I found a few places I like in my budget but can't contact them.

I think the app is nice and it definitely shows more relevant rooms ads than the larger companies. My only complaint and it's not the fault of the app developers is the then landlords. It's clear some are older or have trouble with the language but they make it difficult to communicate and I've lost out on some great properties because of the lack of proper communication. Maybe they can add pre-made responses so that miscommunication stops happening.

Great ! Intuitive interface, quick lookups with useful filter set. A bit of an investment to pay for max coverage. $25 grants your ad in bold for 6 months- 3mos + a 3 month extension in case you still need it. Background check to verify your phone, email and criminal dings. $20 And if you run into a sketchy person during your search, customer support is excellent 👌🏽 Remember, never send money sight unseen to a property lister who won't show the property until you pay some crocked up fee.
