Restarts every time I close the app now and I have to set it up from scratch. Time to find a new password manager. UPDATE - started working again, but there are still some bugs around the way some of the data is displayed and synced across devices, so only four stars.

28 Feb 2023 - Still working fine. Been using it for 13 years on Blackberrys, Android phones, Windows 10 and 11 home and pro. There has been the odd brown trouser situation when I thought I'd lost all my data and once phantom login attempts by the junk in my wife's handbag locked me out. Support has always been prompt and helpful. Take backups before any updates just in case the sync process gets confused. And use the sync options to resync from another machine. If WiFi won't play, use USB.

I have been using SplashID since the Palm days, I got a lifetime license when I migrated to the Mac. A few months ago, I found that it would not sync with my phone unless I upgrade. Then I found some bugs and contacted tech support. Nickolai refused to help. The conversation degenerated into a high pressure sales pitch from him to pay for an upgrade in June. The upgrade is here, and I find that I need to pay for the Pro version to sync. Good bye SplashID! Your money-grubbing has lost you a fan!

BROKEN!!! It says permissions are required but there isn't a way to grant what it's asking for, so the app is 100% unusable, and all my data is lost. After nearly a decade of reliable use, you go and do this? And why do you need to suddenly have access to my phone calls and contacts? There is not functionality that I use that has ever needed that. Five weeks later still broken, still unable to access my data and still no response from the company after several emails, support req. & BBB case.

While the app itself is fine, the customer service is abhorrent. When trying to resolve a lockout issue (very difficult to recover access, btw) and indicating that I had messaged them twice already according to their instructions online, I actually got a response from them that read "Whatever. Please kindly note I am telling you no such emails came to us. Why, I do no not know -- Gmail is NOT known to lose emails this way, so any emails getting lost is extremely unlikely." This even after I forwarded the emails I sent to him...double down on calling me a liar. The company is not in the U.S., so be wary of keeping your data here. I grabbed another app, switched everything over, and changed my passwords on everything.

2023.09 (1-star): 8.3.9 does not work with Android 13. Permissions issue that continues to remain unresolved since August 29, 2023 update. Developer's only response is to reinstall, so existing data is lost. I've been using this app since the Palm Pilots, and am greatly disappointed. 2023.11: meanwhile, app requires "all-files" access which it doesn't re/ask for unless reinstalled. Again, it shouldn't need this kind of file-access and repoints back to it's not compatible with modern Android.

Had my yearly subscription cancel because I changed cards so I tried to resubscribe. Paid 30$ and then got a message saying there was trouble communicating with the server and now I cant access any of my passwords... Update: Im now able to access them through the website just not through the app. I'm also swapping to a Galaxy s22 soon instead of a Pixel 6 pro. I've had compatibility issues with quite a few apps because of the Pixel OS.

I have been using this app for years without incident. More recently I had to change my email address. I had been fearing this due to how the email address is used by the app. I found a support document on their website and followed the instructions prescribed and was pleased to have the end result as intended. I see several reviews hear that indicate others have had significant problems with the app; however, that is not my experience.

9 Pro is a disaster. I've used Spashid since the Palm days, and glitches were temporary and quickly addressed by polite and helpful tech support. Until now. I upgraded to 9 and license migrated but NOT MY DATA!!! 9 desktop doesn't have import functionality from earlier versions, and trying to do this my phone app is a PITA. I emailed support but got only robo-reply. I'm not entering 715 items by hand, folks. I feel trapped & scared that old version will stop working, then I'm screwed!!!

I have been using SplashID for many years and love it. It does as advertised. The menus are clear and overall it's a pleasure to use the app with my PC Windows 10 desktop and my android phone. I have used their tech support several times. Their responses are timely, detailed and clearly addressed my issues. I have never experienced better tech support. Overall - highly recommended. .

I have to say, I've been using this app for years but it has recently gone downhill quickly. Two-factor authentication is no longer working and basic authentication is pretty much broken too. I've contacted the developer about the issue. Replies take more than a week and I'm still not convinced the developer understands the problem I'm experiencing. If they can't get logging into the app working, I really have to wonder how secure my data really is.

I have used this app since the Palm platform...seems like maybe 15 years or so. I have seen innumerable improvements and increasing maturity in the developers, and remain very happy with it. To date I have nearly 700 entries for everything from passwords to paint colors and birthdays. From time to time a glitch pops up as with any app. The tech support response has always been good. Be patient as no user is the only user with a problem. For those having issues with subscriptions or licenses, just email support and explain. In my experience, they will correct any billing or license error. Correspondence that is clear and polite will always yield better results. I recommend this product without reservation.

Twice in the last three months SplashID has locked me out of my passwords. I've paid for the service but when I log in and try to unmask a password I get a popup that demands that I subscribe to SplashID Pro for another $19.99. I've already subscribed to the pro version -- paid for it on 08/30/2018 13:19:12 MT. There is no rhyme nor reason why they've locked me out of the vault. Update - still happening, but they're helping me with a workaround.

This app is a great tool. But I can't use the number keys at the all. My spashid has a number in it and for the life of me I don't know how to get a number to output. And for whatever reason it lost some of my records.. It might be a problem synch'ing with the Windows 10.x,which runs on the tablet. I uninstalled it then installed it to see if it was during an upgrade.

After using Splash ID for years. I all of a sudden kept getting an error message that said my license had expired. After upgrading from Note 8 to Note 10 plus. It would not let me carry over my passwords to the new device. But my records showed I had paid for the license. Concerned I emailed the SplashID crew in hopes they could help me. They responded within 2 hours and let me know that I was mistaken and my license was expired. But reset it so it was usable. Thanks SplashID!

The app itself is decent. The company has somewhat redeemed itself by adding quality advances and functionalities in the app. However, when there are problems, tech support is not able to resolve issues and takes weeks not doing so! I contacted tech support regarding three separate issues over the course of two years. None of the aforementioned were ever resolved. Buyer beware!

Update 2020 Has worked without any more issues. Good program Update (Dec 15 th) - changed my email address on file which somehow fixed my issue. Program is working again and data is restored. (Dec 6th ) Something happened with the last update. Lost data, can't sync., crashes repeatedly. Have used for 3 yrs, now looking for a different app.

I've been using SplashID since the Palm OS days on a Treo. But it seriously needs to be updated to keep up. Competing apps all have cloud syncing. Why is desktop syncing the only option? And it's an additional $20? Add cloud syncing soon or I'm jumping ship. (Update) Changed from 2 stars to 4 stars because cloud syncing was added. Thanks!

I've used the Splash products since the days of the Palm Pilot and they were very reliable. With the Android Version using the Cloud, I have been experiencing frequent data corruption which renders the product suspect. The frequent encounters are jumbling of the icon assignments, loss or corruption of the TYPES and CATEFORY settings or records disappearing and/or duped. They don't bother testing new updates

This is a terrible app. If you use the Wi-Fi sync option for instances on multiple computers you need to make sure EACH instance still opens if you change your password. If the password change doesn't get synced to one instance and you enter the wrong password ten times Splash Data blocks your account and deletes your password files on ALL your devices even the ones that opened fine before. I recommend a hard pass on this app.
