I really like this launcher. But I'm giving it 3 stars because of 2 really annoying bugs. Periodically after opening a full screen app & then going back to the home screen the icons on the status bar disappear, the status bar is still there, it's just empty. I have to restart to fix it. The other thing is that all the direct message & call shortcuts I have on the home screen stop functioning after a while. I press them & nothing happens, I have to reassign them to get them working again.

If you loved Windows Phone and the Metro/Modern UI but had to jump ship, this is for you. If you never used Windows phone and just want a unique, responsive, customizable launcher for Android, this is also for you! With recent updates the UI is, in many ways, better than Windows Phone ever was. I am particularly fond of the ability to do separate tile layouts for portrait and landscape. What a great addition! If you take the time to tweak settings and icons this launcher is near perfect.

UPDATE: 3/8/2022 I still love this launcher after trying several others . But I do have to keep having to re-enable accessibility options, to get gestures to work in the paid version. ( minor bug) I have tried several others and keep coming back to this one. I have a vision impairment and this is easier to see. It seems to have more options than the accessibility apps. I still like to customize things in this one allows you to do that. I miss having a Windows phone but this is really good,

Best launcher I've found so far, although I do have a few suggestions: For the photo widget: Allow us to select multiple folders. When I click on the picture widget, go straight to the currently displayed photo. Folders: I can add a folder from the applications list to the home screen, but when I add a new app to the application list folder it does not add it to the folder on the home screen. Please make it so that the two sync. Adding an app to the application folder auto adds to the home screen folder. Applications list: Add swipe to right goes back to home screen. Calendar: I could never get the calendar widget to work, perhaps because I use outlook calendar instead of google?

Like many people, I used Nova until it was bought out. I loved the way Windows Phone was, and this is an even better implementation of that. My phone is now setup *exactly* the way I want, with all different icons sizes on the home screen. I love the "Live Tile" like aspect, so when I'm listening to music or podcasts, the Tile updates to show that. I've used super customizable launchers like Nova to super minimal like Olauncher, and this hits that perfect spot of customization and simple

You're able to pack a ton of apps and information into a single home page in a way that is highly organized and extremely efficient while also being very aesthetic and simple and fun to use. Organizing my apps and widgets into tile groups as pages makes every app easy to find and get to, and also makes it easier to use more widgets to display information and interact with. Using the tile layout to organize shortcuts and groups makes them simple to navigate even when densely populated.

Outstanding launcher with a couple of hiccups. Too many live tiles can cause them to go hay wire and all start animating at the same time instead of taking turns. Also it will randomly open folders I have upon unlock. I am considering switching back to Nova. All of these could be device related so not gonna deduct any stars because of this.

absolutely love the layout options and great customization. however, it's very unstable on my S22 Ultra with the latest oneUI. I frequently return to the launcher to see only 2-3 icons showing, and have to leave and return to get everything back. please let me know where I can send logs if possible. please add an option to restart the launcher so I can fix when it is misbehaving

Provides a very enjoyable and unique experience. However, I don't use it anymore because it doesn't provide a way to disable the app drawer and instead put all the apps on the main launcher page, just like with the regular Android launchers. Edit: thanks, but I'm talking about adding recently-installed apps to the main launcher screen. I don't want the App Drawer on another page.

Was loving this app however, noticed very recently that the "auto-rotate" screen setting turns on without me manually setting it on. This is the ONLY app that requires permission to "modify system settings". Again, this was NEVER an issue..app had this same permission and the auto-rotate settings never became activated unless I turned it on. I hate this...now will be uninstalling due to *privacy* concerns. 😭😔😒☹️😕

Not the typical launcher by any means but a very cool well thought out launcher nonetheless. Full featured & extremely easy to navigate. There might be a slight learning curve for setting up for some but Square Home comes preset with a very useful home screen from the start & offers a "quick setup" for new users. So you can use SH from the start. All & all a top of the line launcher from a very very good dev that's responsive & diligent. I've been using all of their apps for 10+ years.

EDIT: I figured out my issue, I added blank widgets and turned off edit mode and it works perfectly. Easily the most customizable and clean launcher I've found. I mained Smart Launcher for a long time but it was lacking the incredible amount of customization this has. This is money well spent! Excellent but I can't seem to find a way to turn auto arrange off. I'd really love a way to be able to drag the icons anywhere on the home screen, like on a desktop. Otherwise this is a masterpiece!

This is absolutely wonderful, I've been missing my Microsoft style launcher page with the Windows tiles from my old Windows phone, but I also wanted the functionality and reliability of Android and this has give both of those options. The only reason that I'm giving 4 stars is because of a problem when pulling up the list of applications, it never defaults to A to Z. Even after sorting A to Z. It's always defaulting to the last used app and this makes it harder to find what you're looking for.

Move ova Nova! SH is a fresh take on the launcher with aeroglass-like appeal. Two aspects I will miss from Nova is the ability to lay out my interface without the use of blank widgets and to do so in overlapping and half step increments allowing for a more immersive cascade effect. Options abound however and I've made the switch permanently. The ability to back up my settings and restore them to another device is a huge plus as is being able to assign a local folder to daily wallpapers.

I LOVE this launcher. 5 stars. HOWEVER lately my home page freezes and I can't do anything until I turn off my screen and back on again. Really inconvenient since my phone js use for work and suddenly it stops working. All live and shifting tiles are off. I haven't been able to find the solution. Once fixed I'll resubscribe and change to 5 stars again.

I really want to like this. So, many options but I spend more time trying to position the tiles because they either do not stay where you put them and just slide right back where that come from or When you long press am icon To get the Sliders to Come out... They disappear as soon as you let them go and then you just cant do anything... Trying to build your layout is an absolute nightmare...

No landscape mode. Often use devices in landscape mode. Want to to use but not practical without landscape views. Update for the Developer: the landscape option is currently not defined and works well with another theme for Total Launcher... the theme does both views automatically and is designed for both. I don't want to be locked in portrait or landscape only, so I can use the full abilities of the device. When turning on landscape, it forces only landscape.

I absolutely love this launcher. Best UI out there. It's incredibly flexible and has enabled me to put everything I use on one screen so I don't have to scroll searching for apps. I was also able to replace the app icons with images, and effectively reskin it to look like a Star Trek "padd" from the TV shows. My inner geek is in love.

I'm using this for just the front screen on a foldable device. Through some automation I have a different one for the larger screen. I thought this app would be more basic and that I'd use the larger screen more than I do. But Square Home is surprisingly full featured and highly customizable. Integrates very well with widgets, allows multiple different actions per icon, folders are easy and intuitive, and it's aesthetically pleasing. Definitely earns a 5 star rating.

Update: after using this for a while, free version, and learning about all it can actually do. It's the perfect launcher, simple and elegant, and really great customization hope to see new updates with new features. ❤ of your not comfortable with trial and error or having taking time to learn this app it's probably not for you. But if you don't mind it prepared to be blown away.
