LOVE this game! The easy levels are easy and the hard levels are really hard. The interface is very user friendly. Not an overwhelming amount of ads. BEST part: the hints actually help you learn how to play the game better by telling you WHY they are hinting that move. And the developers recently DOUBLED the amount of levels available for ALL difficulties! Highly recommend :)

Brilliant process-of-elimination puzzle game! I've played a lot of variations on this theme, and this one has quickly found a place among my favorites. The lower levels are pretty easy, but "Fiendish" is just hard enough to really make you think, while still being doable. I will gladly be buying more levels once I complete the free set, especially at such a generously low price. I couldn't recommend this game more strongly for fans of games like Bimaru (Battleship Solitaire) or Tents and Trees.

Very simple, easy to use interface for a nice little brain teaser. Very generous with their anniversary gift, too! Hints are also very useful - not only does the game tell you one or more spots to fill in, but it explains why. Very nice when you're stumped, and it doesn't penalize you either. I recommend this app, and it's worth paying to remove the ads. :)

I love puzzles, and this is a fantastic one. Not many ads. Loads of free levels and biying more is very cheap. It's challenging! You never have to guess though. They give you unlimited hints with a clear explanation free. I don't know if they created the puzzle type or not. Incredibly impressive if they did, but great design either way.

Star Battle is very much like Sudoku without the numbers, and it is both extremely challenging and extremely fun! Perfect for a little cool down after work. I set a timer and do a few puzzles-- gets me ready for the evening :) Well done! I especially love the opportunity to buy the game and turn off the ads. I love finding an app that has earned it.

One of the few times I've decided to rate an app without being prompted. I love this game. I am not an intense puzzler; I'm playing on easy, and that's plenty of challenge for me. If (like me) you're staring at this page trying to figure out what the game actually is - it's like sudoku but with more variety. I would describe the overall design of the game as friendly. I love the seperate hint and error check systems. The ads are not intrusive. Amazing all around and I'm addicted.

This is my current favorite game. I've played through roughly 340 levels so far between the different difficulties. There has been a recent update that had added more puzzles for free and a button to check if you are correct so far which are two big bonuses. There are short ads after every puzzle completion but they don't interfere with game play. It's a great little logic game and a great way to kill a few minutes here and there. Highly recommend!

Nicely done. Easy and medium puzzles are challenging but logic helps you learn how to mark patterns. I could solve the puzzles faster as I got better. The difficult ones are doable but take too long. They require more trial and error or looking farther ahead. Ads aren't too bad. Suggestion for developers: allow users to mark a square to come back to if they try something then realize they've made an error. Reversing via the back button works but you have to remember where to stop.

Great game! 2 things I love...you can choose any level of any difficulty whether or not you solved previous levels. So if you get stuck on one you can move on and come back to it later. And no sound effects! You can play it wherever without disturbing others. And I'm an adult. Sorry but dings and whistles everytime you hit a button is obnoxious. I love quietly enjoying the puzzles

I don't play a lot of logic puzzle games like this, but really figured I should exercise those skills and I happen to like stars and get tired of sudoku and merging block games. I LOVE this game. It is really fun! I have only played on easy mode so far and want to get super quick at that before trying the next difficulty level, I like that you can decide the difficulty level for yourself. Highly recommended

A very fun logic puzzle game. Not too hard to learn, but still takes some time to learn many of the "tricks" used to find the solution. The hint feature is very nice, as it does not simply show you the position of a star, but instead helps you understand some simple logic steps to simplify the puzzle. Ads are only played upon beating a level, and are usually skippable after 5 seconds. Tons of free levels to play.

Might sound a little hyperbolic but genuinely this is one of my favorite free games I've downloaded! It's exactly what it says on the tin. Ads play after every finished level, but they're all brief and not too obtrusive. You can pick a color scheme you like. I managed to finish all the free levels, and I feel satisfied with it. Had a nice time!

Upgrading to 5 stars. The ads are very minimal, but I paid for removal anyway bc I want to show my appreciation for the game. As far as I can tell, the hints are unlimited, and even though I try not to use hints, it's a relief to know they're there if I need them. Best of all, the hints EXPLAIN why a field works/doesn't work, so it's more like a coach. Truly enjoy this game and will definitely be buying the expansion packs as long as nothing changes. Thanks for a challenging yet relaxing game!

ONE OF THE BEST PUZZLE GAMES I'VE EVER PLAYED. It appears simple from the onset, but you quickly start to pick up tricks on your own for ruling out dead zones and identifying star locations. I played a dozen Easy missions before testing myself on Medium for 20+ more. I might try Difficult now, but I can easily see myself going back to play all the levels I've skipped, as well as beaten before. Each completed puzzle requires only a 3sec ad to skip, which is unimpeding and provides them ad revenue

Loved it. It was addictive. Easy to learn and if you sat with it long enough you'd figure it out eventually but it gets you to see all these different tips tricks and patterns. Really something to play that gets you thinking at multiple angles. My only complaint is there doesn't seem to be a way to go back to the beginning and play through them all again without taking you back to the home screen since you already did that one.

I love this game, but sometimes the next step is impossible, and the tip they give you is just "the star cannot go here" and it is discouraging. I feel like this game is so close to being perfect because I really love the concept. Updates, I've been playing this a lot now. And all the tips make sense, it's not always easy to understand them. I've had only 1 tip where the logic completely does not help me learn to get past it, but that is a one time thing so far. Unlimited tips makes it enjoyabl

Outstanding game! I've played this enough to develop the Tetris effect with it :) My only suggestion is that the developer add a bookmarking option: at some points of difficult levels, I need to test different solutions. If my first test fails, I often just restart completely. It would be great to be able to undo every move after my bookmarked point.

So much fun. Very simple concept with varying levels of difficulty. I LOVE the ability to ask whether you've got it correct so far. I love that there's no lives/energy system. Super relaxing and hard to put down. The ads are short and only between levels. Based on this, within one day of playing I bought the ad-free version and all 4 puzzle expansions, all very fairly priced. It seems like the devs actually cared about making a fun game, not just an ad machine. Great job and thank you! 👏🏻

Delightful visual design with plenty of color schemes to choose from, and it's so engrossing I spend way more time doing "just one more," but each one is low stakes enough that I exit without emotional friction if I need to attend to something. The hint system is very well done and helps you learn new principles. It's a bargain at $2 (for no ads). My only issue with it is that the tap interface is a bit messy, easy to accidentally put a dot or star where you didn't mean to, and have to backtrack

Good spatial relations game. This is better than the other free versions of "Star Garden" types of games because you can check to see if you have made a mistake w/out the game telling exactly what the mistake was, if you cant figure it out it can show you your mistake. If you get stuck you can get unlimited clues for free w/out having to sit thru ads.
