Warning!!! Read the fine print on this one as Play will just charge you for a year, over $80 without double checking that you want to keep this app the second the duration of the free trial expires. And if you contact them to explain that you never used the app and you appologize for the inconvenience, even after explaining you have mental health issue that effects their ability to recall even download it, seeing as you were looking for star WALK and not the app in question anyway, no. $80 gone.

I only used this app once at night to locate some stars in demo mode. Promptly forgot about it for a few weeks until it popped a notification up on me yesterday about some mundane astronomical event coming up this month. That would have been ok, had it not also started playing classical music at full volume, ignoring all of my sound settings - I had general volume muted, notifications muted and I was in do not disturb mode. Didn't matter, just blasted music at full volume.

Started out great. Very accurate and reliable. Then all of a sudden, I kept getting notifications for random, minor events that may or may not happen in my area. Notifications that can override any do not disturb or silence feature. Notifications that wake me up at 4 AM on a weekend. No true way to turn them off. Uninstalled immediately.

I been looking for days what the actual heck is going off it's all the stupid alarms, I got woken up day and night with no notification finally found it was this stupid app, uninstalled DO NOT RECOMMEND this was ridiculous

CAN NOT find a way to turn off the star alarms! I've been going in every morning to turn them all off for the day. SO ANNOYING. How do I disable the alarms but keep the news notifications???

Randomly starts blaring classical music with bird sound effects unprompted while not even using the app. The app starts itself and runs in the background. Highly not recommended.

I'm thankful, and it's gratifying to see the stars in vivid detail moving shingle across the universe, I'd like to see the planets and moons, I haven't fully explored the entire system although hopeful to see any improvements

It was a good app until they added the alarm bs that just goes off and you have you go into the app and click on all the tiny x(close) in the corner to turn it off and all the alarms are turned on by default so it's great when ur in a meeting and everyone's silent and the speaker is speaking and you gotta jump through all those hoops just to figure out how to turn it off. Thanks for being useful for astro for a while, but all good things have to end.

It automatically signed me up for a 3 day free trial and then it charges 30 a year or 5 monthly. I hit x on that screen and it does seem pretty cool with the constellations and Mars etc, but not worth paying monthly or yearly for since I don't have time to stargaze like I did when I was younger. I uninstalling it now and checking to make sure it isn't going to charge me.

After downloading this app, I started getting ads on the home screen of my phone! I didn't even know this was possible. After lots of time spent trying to figure out the issue, I realized it was this app that had given my phone a virus which I also didn't know was possible. I uninstalled the app and now my phone is fine again! Beware! Update: although developer has responded that this app does not have ads outside the app, the issue is consistent with other reviews.

Never left a 1 star review before. Used the app one time to find mars and worked great. Opened a month later to find a free trial expired. That's ok. But shortly after I started seeing advertisements pop onto my screen when using other apps like Google or YouTube. Not cool. Then it was like it was trying to hide the source of the ads, closing them when I would push ||| (android). Extra not cool. Uninstaller fixed the problem. I hope this is some kind of bug and not a poor decision...

Paid for a subscription but kept getting prompted to subscribe again. When I would "restore" the purchase, it would work briefly and then crash. Although it's a cool app, the constant crashing and subscription issues (I ended up getting charged multiple times due to the restore issue) make it unusable. Also the notifications for Star Roam do not use the normal android notification channels, and this is annoying.

Why is there a damn alarm going off in this app that cannot be turned off. This app is horrible for that alone. I was asleep and i wake up to my phone playing music and buzzing that has no source and the volume was stuck so i couldnt get it turned down all the way! This was literally infuriating and no app should make your life harder. This one literally does.

Do not download this app. It is a virus. Was finally was able to figure out after multiple days that this was the app that was randomly playing classical music in the background of my phone. I haven't used or thought about this app in close to a year. Immediately when I uninstalled the app the music/alarm stopped. There is no notification and nowhere to tell that it is the app that is playing music. This app is a virus. Do not download it. Read other reviews that also confirm this.

This app started vibrating and playing classical music + bird noises at random times during the day. No rhyme or reason, no notifications or indication this was where the noise was coming from. It utilized the alarm function too, so attempting to turn the volume down when it first started was unintuitive, as hitting the volume while playing would just turn the ringer down. Had to go through and end app processes one by one to identify it. I can only assume the app maker wants folks to uninstall.

I DONT RECOMMEND this app to anyone! I had notifications off and for the longest I thought my phone had a virus BECAUSE OF THIS APP. I spent a week trying to figure out why my phone would randomly play a very specific song and vibrate non stop. It did not have an icon, a pop up, nothing. It would do it by itself without giving me a way to shut it off. So I started uninstalling all of the apps until I got to this one and one it was uninstalled the sounds stopped. This app will NEVER be on mine.

This app could be awesome because it shares really great events and news articles. However, it's ridiculously expensive and that alarm everyone is talking about it is the worst. The only way to avoid it is to disable the alarms ahead of the updates. Once something is added, it is automatically on and it will go off. Absolutely terrible. Could be a great app. Doesn't make any sense why they would do this.

DO NOT INSTALL! This app *was* cool. But now it has This new alert feature which you can't configure or disable. And there is no way to stop or silence the alert once it goes off (it overrides your sound settings). The only way to shut it up is to turn your phone off. Besides that it's great but that a completely garbage move that was. The only way around it right now is to open the app every day and silence the upcoming event instances. Ridiculous!
