✦ Constellations and stars in real time. You’re presented with the sky map of stars and constellations on the night sky when you open the app. Learn all about celestial bodies (general info, gallery, Wikipedia articles, astronomy facts).
✦ With our constellation star finder you'll easily identify stars and planets in the sky. Move your device around, and this app will calculate the device’s orientation and also your GPS location, so it will provide you with an accurate presentation of the arrangement of celestial bodies in the night sky.*
✦ Use Time Machine to diversify sky observation and explore the sky map of different periods. To do this, tap the clock icon in the top left corner and slide the right edge dial down for the past and up for the future position sky objects.
✦ Identify stars, constellations and planets in the night sky with our mobile observatory. Night mode bathes the interface in a red glow in order to make the sky observation more comfortable for your eyes.
✦ This night sky viewer allows you to change the colour of the display to represent various kinds of radiation: gamma, X-Ray, visible spectrum, Infrared, and Radio, etc. Explore the map of the sky in its various representations.
✦ Star Walk's mobile observatory also gives astronomy facts and daily stats like sunrise and sunset times, visible planets, moon phases and much more. You won't need astronomy books and atlases.
✦ AR stargazing. Enjoy map of the sky, stars and planets in augmented reality. With our star chart app you can merge live footage from your camera with the app’s presentation of the night sky.
*This feature (Star Spotter) is available for devices with digital compass. If your device does not have the digital compass, use your fingers to change the view of the sky map.

The app contains a subscription (STAR WALK PLUS).
STAR WALK PLUS removes ads from the app and gives you access to deep space objects, meteor showers, dwarf planets, asteroids, comets, and satellites. It offers a one-week free trial followed by an auto-renewing subscription. The subscription can be managed in the Google Play store.

Love this app so much. It's truly awesome. However inDownloaded this app years ago. Now showing my kids through it I need to pay again? I bought everything there was for this back then. I remember it was the entire pack. All there was available. Now it doesn't remember my past purchases like so many other applications I have bought before..

The notifications coming through these days say "Tonight %object1% and %object2% are visible starting at..." It's much less useful when I have no idea what the app is pointing out. Previously, the app and notifications were great though!

I have installed it. I want to test it before purchasing but it tried to automatically upgrade it to pro. My mobile network informed that you have tried to purchase this app. And it happened four times. But I have never tried to purchase it. This means this app tried automatically to be purchased without my wish.

i m using samsung galaxy a10 and when I move my device the sky does not move. its static. the app works like a charm on my iphone. Is samsung galaxy a10( android 9 pie ) sensor not compatible for the app to work? pls let me know if any calibration required. cant see calibration in app settings.

Said free app but immediately but can't use until you pay. Even says start free trial for a week. When you click on it, it changes to 3 days and asks for immediate payment. Nope!!! Uninstalled right away. Too bad Skywalk 2 also does not work.

Abysmal. This does nothing more than show you a pretty background full of stars that you can rotate around with your finger. No "you are here, this I as the section of sky you are looking at." You're better off getting a conventional map, on paper.

I paid for the full app and it included satellite info as part of said package. Now recent automatic update has removed that information? You now have to pay a subscription to get that original info back. Con merchant. Do not buy either version. Shameful.

Changed my rating from 5 stars to one. Purchased the upgraded app specifically to avoid ads. So disappointed. Feel like I was dupped and now have a paid app so I can watch ads. Will be deleting as it no longer finds compass directions. Don't waste your money or time.

This app's functionality is one of the best I've found, but even when in night mode it shows blindingly white ads that ruin your vision. Also needs to be re-calibrated after every search. Also wants you to pay to track sattelites.

I really reccomend this app. Its awesome to see the stars and planets in the night sky. The reason i gave it 3 stars is that it doesn't allow me to access the place where I am. I mean if i move my phone then the screen should also move showing me whats ahead. But......it does not. It makes it difficult to understand which planet is which one 😔😔 But its an awesome app.

Too much unnecessary stuff. I don't want 60mb of anything other than actual sky map. Do not want music, extra data on planets etc. Problem with settings menu: can't read options names- they're outside the screen. Can't zoom out far enough. I hate that. Don't care about constellations, especially images. Way, way too much bloat!

If you try using it for free, then prepare for a 1-star experience riddled with ads. The paid experience however is great (been using it for 10+ years). It looks gorgeous and it has all the information and features an amateur skywatcher like me wants.

This seems to be a pretty good app. Lots of detail and background information. Sadly every time one opens it one has to listen to awful music despite having turned off the sound and music previously. Please fix it.

This app is a SCAM. I paid for a one time premium purchase several years ago (was offered a one time upgrade to for Star Walk, Star Walk 2 and Sky Tonight). Star Walk app now says premium status inactive & it wants me to subscribe for $4.99 year, I purchased a one time unlock serval years ago for Star Walk and the app won't honor it anymore. There is no "restore" button, no trace of it. Just a "Star Walk Plus" for $4.99 / year. Do yourself a favor and pay for Stellarium Mobile. Vito is a scam.

I 💖 this app, it's so cool it makes astronomy cool. My nieces r in2 the nite sky & it's all due 2 Star Walk. I use it almost every nite, jst in my backyard, & I use it w my telescopeðŸ”. Some of the features r mind blowing, ie. aiming at the ground 2c the sky in the southern hemisphere, absolutely brilliant! If u like lookin up at the 🌟s as much as I do, then get this app!! Stargazing has never been easier or better!! Hi5✋ 2 the dvprs 4 such an outstanding app. Thx guys, really!!👊

The app works well, it isn't buggy or broken, but it has ads to help pay the people working on it, which isn't my issue. My issue is that back in 2016 I paid for the full version before a plan was introduced. a few years of not using it, I went to look at some stars last night, was greeted with a payment plan system. So glad to see the full version I bought became a subscription service. After that I cannot recommend this app but I won't give them a 1 star because the app work well despite ads.

It used to be that buying the app got you all the features. Today I learned that they've added ads to an app I paid for years ago. That, plus the fact that the ui is broken now (pressing certain things, including the option for upgrading to the ad-free version, makes the entire ui disappear until I restart the app) means I'll be finding a replacememt app. Honestly I could forgive the ui- bugs happen, I could wait till they fix it- but the ads are just disrespectful.

Even though I now have Star Walk 2, I wanted to keep this for the simpler layout which is sometimes easier to use when sky watching. This lacks many of the features that SW2 has but just like the difference between Solar Walk & Solar Walk 2, this has aspects that weren't incorporated into the 2nd version. Ideal for an astronomy beginner & the $5 annual upgrade fee is well worth it. EDIT: update seems to have restored functionality which is great because when this works it is fantastic!

AWESOME APP! This app is amazing. You can touch an object, star, planet, satellite and an info button will appear at the bottom. Touch that and it tells you all about the item with additional photos etc. The background music just takes you away while you explore the cosmos from the comfort of your chair. I haven't gone outside yet with this but plan on it. I'm sure it will help me find items in the night sky.

Ads make it impossible to use! Every time I closed a menu I have to sit through an ad, which is frustrating and ruins the experience. uninstalling. *edit I opened the menu didn't find the setting I was looking for and closed it. AD. Went to a different menu to see if it was the one needed, closed it. Another ad. There were less than 30 seconds of looking through the menu options. Ads are also bright and have sound,which is disruptive for night time use. ZERO STARS
