I used to enjoy the service but even after canceling the subscription subscription charge was debited from my account. This is really disappointing and totally unacceptable!

bit too expensive but good (room for improvement tho) selection of English books. one thing I really really strongly dislike is the way the book shows up on lock screen. the play bar is where the book progresses and not sound volume. it's too easy to accidentally touch the screen and it skips to random places in the book, and the struggle is so real to find out where I last was. it's so frustrating

The search function is awful. No filters of any kind, just search by name everything. Can I search by category? Date? Length? No, of course not! The text in the app is also way, way, way, way too small. Make it readable, it's not that hard.

It's a good app with a great selection of audiobooks. I do find it quite expensive, though. I don't even finish 4 books a year. It would be great if there was a cheaper version.

Edit: UX is getting even worse. Popping notifications about episodes I've already listened UX is poor, suggested similar titles are not so similar, the desktop browser app insists that I should do 7 day trial even though I'm logged in my account and have an active subscription

Quite slow if you want to go back 15-30 seconds, and often that will "glitch" and fast forward a couple of minutes instead. And the animated commercials are annoying... Just give me a fast app that works well!

I explicitly set English as the only language and yet half the UI is in Danish, with no obvious way to turn this "feature" off. 0/10, good thing I didn't pay for this. I guess none of the 129+ DKK/mo. are going to UX research. Outlandish price, by the way. Didn't even have the book I wanted, and of course you're pushing AI voice models as well (probably trained on a dataset where the original narrators didn't consent to have their audio used for this purpose.)

Great app for both audio books and ebooks. It's handy to have a source to look at when looking for any reading material or audio books. I wish there was a web browser version for PC use or a way to suggest books to be added to the library.

UI needs a lot of work. Some books don't have chapters for some reason so when I tried listening to a book on my computer, the app still remembered the last place I listenened on that device - Causing me to lose my place which was incredibly infuriating.

No doubt it's an amazing 🤩 audiobook-app. It has wide range of books and the navigation 🧭 is seamless. I just have a little suggestion - it would be cherry on the top, if Storytel can add feature of visual statistics📊. Things like "Streak count" 🔢, "No. of hours read in a week and month" ⏳ will greatly motivate readers to listen 👂 more.

Doesn't work. I can see content on the website that says subscribe.. After subscribing the content doesn't show when searching in the application. After logging in on the computer, it still says 'subscribe'. Very happy it is/was a 'free trial' subscription.

Could use a widget for home screen to pause/play. Would be great if I could narrow my search when looking for something to read e.g. by length of the book or language since I only really get recommended books in Finnish even though I prefer English (but I don't want to completely exclude Finnish from the settings since some books are available only in Finnish). Sometimes quite slow and gets stuck on loading content when rewinding/fast forwarding (I never had that problem with other similar apps)

Dropping my rating. Biggest issue is the price inside the app is different from the price on the web page!!!! I also notice that the library on my native language is not that great. a lot of very popular but older books are nowhere to be seen and it doesn't seem like they are getting adopted at all. I want Dune, Hyperion, LOTR? too bad for me. My previous issue was next episodes were hard to play on android auto - no suggestions whatsoever, so you have to manually find it, it's still like that.

Not able to cancel my subscription during the trail period. There is an annoying bug saying that something went wrong, please try again later. I wrote them three days in a row, and they sent only same standard emails and after that stop answering. Totally disgusting support and neither user-friendly nor customer-friendly. I'm planning to contact the commission for consumer protection!

Would like to actually give this app 4.5 stars. I absolutely love the collection of audiobooks especially, in regional languages (Tamil and Malayalam). The pricing is great and I love that there's no restriction on the number of books one can "save" to their bookshelf. The app, UI does behave a bit wonky a tad too regularly. And when one skips back a bit too fast/in rapid succession, the audio start buffering and it stops playing altogether. This needs to be fixed. Needs better search option.

It has a wide variety of Arabic books, however recently I've been encountering some bugs which 8s really very annoying. I've been using اقرألي more than a year and I haven't face anything like this. I like Storytel interface and it's easy to use, but I think if thes bugs continues, I'll have to end my subscription. Shame on you, fix it and keep your customers.

I can't choose a country of a language that I speak(English) as it's not even one of the options. I was just looking for an app that would work with my watch and big yikes. I can't try out the app to decide if I'm willing to pay for it because once I picked a country, everything switched to the respective language and was unusable. -10/10 And no, I'm not emailing you about it.

Thanks for the quick response. Rephrasing: 1. I see books which show up in my searches but when I open them and I see the message "this title is not available in your region". Would be great if these books do not show up in the search so that the search is not misleading 2. If i am reading part 1 of a book in a series, would be great if part 2 automatically starts after part1. Hopefully this is clear! Keep up the good work.

It is much better than the other services that I tried like scribed and Audible. With 10 dollar subscription, I can read as much books as humanely possible. However, many books that I wanted to read aren't available in my region. It's annoying to see them being suggested to me. If a book isn't available in my region, it's better not to show it to me at all. Other than that, it's a very good app and I see myself subscriping again soon, once I get out of my reading slump.

I'm really happy with the app, and think that subscription is a good investment. I'd only add a table of contents so listeners could find chapters and concepts easily. Other features could be customize the lapses of time a listener could go back or forward on the book, as of now, you can only do this on 15 seconds jumps. Maybe in the future the possibility to have transcripts in the audio books or the option to do searches by words inside a book. Apart from that, I really recommend it.
