I've been using this app for between 3 & 4 years and now all of a sudden, it doesn't track my location consistently... I'll be delivering all day and when I get home I see that it's missing either a huge chunk of time (mileage wise) or sometimes multiple times!? I really hope they update whatever changes they made to fix this problem!

I have an LG Xpression plus 3 phone. I don't know what your updates have done now when I'm home for 20 or 30 minutes then get a dash and head back out your app doesn't seem to want to start calculating miles. The the map thing since they're going in circles but never starts adding up while I'm driving. I have to end the dash and restart it again. Then when I get home if I end the dash it erases it. Want to switch phones

Worked great until the 1st of the year. Have downloaded several updates but it is still very glitchy. I have multiple entries for the same day. It often says it is tracking mileage and I am unable to end the drive. Several days I clicked on start a drive only to find it didn't track any of my mileage for the day. I am really bummed because it was great when it worked, but is now too unreliable. Will have to look for another app.

There have been several bad updates recently. The app vanishes in the middle of a trip, the timer randomly resets, and mileage does not display accurately in the app. Sometimes I get home and it takes more than an hour for the app to catch up before it will let me stop recording mileage. App quality is declining rapidly. The app dropped over 60 mi from my driving today.

I use this app for my 1099 business and as of late it has become unreliable, sadly. For instance, I took a snapshot of my beginning miles before I started driving today. Right now Stride says I've driven 48.55 miles when I've actually driven 79.2 miles. That is a significant difference, especially when you rely on this for tax purposes. I'm going to have to find something more reliable. I wonder how much I lost in deductions for last year...

I really do love this app. In the past years, I've used it to track my miles since I'm self-employed, and my job requires a lot of driving, I'm constantly running google maps and like 4 other apps in the background, I've never had any issues until the latest updates, in the past I was able to open the app, use the other ones and let it run in the background all day , I've look into all the setting within the app and the phone (android) to see if anything changed but nothing has. What' going on?

I've been using Stride for 4 years and it worked great until the most recent update. Now it keeps crashing when I try to view my transactions which is making it difficult for me to review in order to do my taxes. I shouldn't have updated the app but it wouldn't let me use the older version. **edit: After Uninstalling and reinstalling it seems to work again**

Absolutely the worst app to track any mileage on your vehicles. I've used this app for over 3 years and it's done great until they released a update and it went downhill after that lol. I gave them a chance and have been hoping that they would fix this issue but no, it has been over a month. I'm now losing money. When I start/stop my travel It won't stop, it will continue. I have it now at 96hrs of driving. Your button for completing my drive has not been working

UPDATE : WAS better now back to bad! Permissions allowed and set not to pause when unused (other than photos and audio) but it turns off tracking on its own and records nothing! Not sure what's going on with the upgrades. I have to constantly check if it's still tracking. I've uninstalled the app hoping it would help but it's not. I allowed it permission to track when I'm using the app. The map logs of my previous trips are there for a few hours and when I look back at them they are gone.

Difficult to manually start mileage tracking when it doesn't automatically start. Also it sometimes auto-starts when I'm walking through the house with my phone. Just updated, and all my 2023 transactions are gone. I'm going back to writing down my mileage in a tiny notebook. It also really, really wants to be a full bookkeeping/tax app. I already have that, I just didn't want to have to remember to log my miles!

Overall it's a good product! Since they changed to the new yellow icon, their service has gone downhill. I lost 179 miles today and a couple hundred more over the past week. Now, it seems that if you're not on this app, it no longer keeps track of mileage. The app has full access to locations, free from being optimized, and no limits. Now, it does not work like it used to. I never had problems where I've lost miles like this. I'm having to go back and calculate how many miles I've actually lost.

I've recently updated my app and really wish I hadn't. It's been working great with no issues for years until this recent update. It doesn't track my drive. Just shows my starting point and straight line to my destination which cuts corners/ not accurate whatsoever. Now i have to manually add my miles. There is no longer a icon on my notification bar allowing to quickly turn it on. The auto enable while driving is no where to be found. Just horrible. Please go back to the old version.

Use it for roughly a month on my new business so far so good. I really love that it's free. And it takes out the hassle of calculating mileage and deductions. You can add notes and take pictures of receipts. You can easily hit track mileage while you drive It will calculate for you. Or if you forget or add mileage for business before you downloaded this app, you can do so.

I haven't using this app for closer 2 years, and I have loved it ever since until the recent update just like everyone else is complaining about. When I click track miles and I'm minimize it, like I did every other time and then an hour or two later when I open the app again, if I have driven 50 actual miles it thinks I've only driven 10 it does not track miles anymore. If I drive 10 miles in a straight line, turn left and drive another 10 mi and I open the app it will cut straight thu

Since transitioning from the Samsung Z Fold 4 to the Samsung S24 Ultra due to screen issues, this app has been functioning satisfactorily, consistent with my initial experience. However, Stride still lacks the split-screen functionality, which hinders multitasking capabilities. The reintroduction of this feature would certainly raise the app's rating back to full five stars. In its current state, I will give this a four-star rating.

It's an ok app. Performance struggles as the app is constantly refreshing when moving from screen to screen or when you switch back to the app from something else. The mileage tracker accuracy could definitely use some improvement. All in all I think it's great for manually recording mileage and income but not necessarily as a live mileage tracker.

I had rated this five stars in the past, but I have to knock it down to three and that's being generous. The app randomly stops sometimes and sometimes won't even open. The drive reminder has not worked for months either. On the plus side, I was able to easily retrieve my mileage for tax deduction purposes, although it was fewer miles than expected because the app does not always work.

I like that I can manually enter millage into the app and delete and modify entries if needed. I would like to see the screens cleaned up of unwanted insurance stuff especially after I indicated I have insurances. A web version would be a nice addition. Also the ability to track millage on more than one vehicle would be very helpful.

Edit for updated version: I've used it twice since the update and the errors are actually worse. One trip only tracked 3 mi out of a 12 mile, in the second one it just completely did random stuff. I don't have battery saver on or anything like that to minimize the app either by the OS or the app. Make sure you double check every trip, and if I wasn't so invested in the year I would have switched over completely. May have to by the end of the year though

Edit: You can no longer pinch, zoom, or pan the map on a drive with the July 17th update. It remains permanently zoomed in as closely as possible and locked to your current location. Presumably, this helps hide the recent inaccurate mileage tracking bugs. When combined with the other problems this insurance advertisement app has, it's clear that Stride has lost its way completely.
