The new update sucks!! It won't load! You can barely see anything anymore. No, it's not my connection because I connected to many wifi and mobile data, and it just either won't work or it is EXTREMELY slow. Works well when I see my cameras on my phone from home when i am connected to my own wifi. But what's the point of this if I WANT TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON IN MY HOUSE WHEN I AM AT WORK OR OUT!! Fix this!! It's annoying and truly frustrating as a mom.

Absolute trash. Can't even get the camera to sync to any time zone at all, so all recordings have useless time stamps. Connectivity is more miss than hit. Currently (for the 4th time since the app switchover) resetting the device to factory settings, deleting device and reconnecting, and deleting and reinstalling the app in the hopes that it will work for a little while tonight. Deep down, I know I'm just wasting another hour of my life with this process.

I commend the software development team that swept in and overhauled the app. The low ratings are mostly due to previous versions, which were rough but necessary. The latest version "2.0” works great, with relatively quick response in the new interface. Updated response: The cam ( SWWHD-INTCAM-US) still cuts in or out at odd times, often missing the action. With long "sleep" time, it could mean missing a critical moment. Maybe more a hardware problem, but fine tuning options would be welcome.

Have used for 2 days. I like the fact you can view specific recordings triggered by motion & that you can save them. However, when you open the notification alert, it goes to live feed, You have to select the playback button to see it. Our main issue currently is the notification alert will not delete. I clear them out, the folder will be empty & the alert number disappears. As soon as you shut app & reopen, it shows X amt of "notifications" even though it's empty. Number keeps increasing.

Constantly having issues with app & desktop version. Every time I Try to download a certain video, it downloads a portion of it or a previous video that isn't the one I clicked on. The app is even worse because I can never see the playback videos, just shows a black screen with a refresh button on it but never plays video nor does it let me download it. The image quality is bad too. I cleaned all the lenses & still the video come out so blurry

After mountains of drama with reduced functionality (until I started paying for the subscription service, go figure) things appear to be working, however now Android has updated breaking the location permissions for the app; notifications do not work while the app location permission is only while the app is in use. This needs to be put back to "always on" as it was in the past.

I am so upset. Our System uses an NVR with local storage. One of the MAJOR factors in choosing THIS System was the fact that we could log in, via app, for Live viewing alimg with playback. It directed us to use the SwannView Link app. It suddenly stopped working a little over a week ago. ONE of the cameras still works fine, we just can't view Live video remotely anymore. The app doesn't exist anymore either. Called support, they suggest trying THIS app instead to no avail. No one can help :(

We have had our camera systems for well over a year now. What I have found.... if I'm away from home, it takes forever for that camera to show me anything, but I do get the notifications. I use to could pull up the clips fairly quick at home or see activity, but not anymore. Now, it takes a while to even find the clips. That process has changed. But it takes quite a while before I can watch it. And then there's the talking to someone out there..... that has always been horrible.

Very unhappy. 2-16 channel swann nvrs, 32 camera. I've had this app for quite a while. These are not cheap or old systems. When I load the app, it crashes within a second or two. Rarely, if I scroll quickly, it will stay up until I view a single camera. Normally, it still crashes at this point. Why can't you fix your app? Nvrs also displays only on old monitors or TV. Not working on smart TV hdmi, no matter the output format. Full list of issues won't fit here.

This app is now useless. It takes multiple tries to get any camera to load, then it's only good for about 5 seconds before it starts spinning again. Half the time it times out and says to log in again. And this is with very fast internet connections. Movies stream instantly, yet this thing can't show me a live view for more than 5 seconds at a time. Very tempted to completely replace the entire system with something else.

When I first bought it, everything was fine. Not long after, one of my door sensors stopped working, the dvr and doorbell always are offline. The playback is terrible. Very glitchy, and playback switches between live view for a whole different camera. I miss alot with this system. And I convinced family members to get this same system and they are also disappointed.. I wish I had got a ring!

Times out in 13 seconds with spinning icons. I have tried LTE(4G and 5G) and 5G WiFi, with the same results. I have cleared the cache also. This update stopped working normally two weeks ago. I have rebooted the SWANN NVR and my router with no effect. Same thing with playback. I can login on the PC application with no issues. Using Pixel 8 phone. What else could be the issue?

A FIX for the streaming & playback problem; at least it worked for our DVRx-5680. While trying to find an old version of this app I found that Swann has another app; Home-Safe View. It will stream all cameras at once & playback recordings. It has a different feel to it but IT WORKS! Unlike this "updated" app. This is why I don't have auto update on but got sloppy this time. A big plus is that it also controls a non Swann pan & tilt camera. The one thing that it doesn't do is mode change.

Doesn't work. iPad app works great, so that gets 5 stars. I recommend a Swann surveillance system if you're an Apple user. Update: It works better now but u have to hit that tiny spinner icon on the upper right. Update #2 on 4-21-24: The recording device will just stop recording on random days. So I have an unreliable surveillance system. After a little more than a year. Great. Reply: Figure out that for yourself. 🤔 Update: 6-5-24 Can't play back ANY video on this app for over a month.

No more live view for a week now?? The system is constantly glitchy since installed a year ago, I regret my purchase... Update - 8.3.22 All functionality has been working as intended. Thanks! 5.7.24 After the last update. The app repeatedly freezes now. My phone has plenty of resources and no issues on any other app. I hope this is looked into.

Edit: Not impressed with overall functionality of entire security system. It records endless video of shadows moving and branches in the wind but misses every important instance of movement. Missed most delivery vehicles and an entire herd of deer passing through my yard. App is glitchy, slow and refuses to even playback sometimes. I wouldn't buy the system again.

App connectivity is terrible, our wifi cameras constantly need to be reset every month or so. Using the reset or troubleshooter is worthless as they are "connected" but we can't change any settings or do live views. The live view quality is so pixilated you can't read a license plate 10ft away. The speaker/microphone are worthless and you can't understand or hear when you try to use it. We had high hopes for these cameras but the issues seem to keep stacking up rather than getting fixed.

Ver.4.0.8 has been the worst. The app overall has been horrible but the most recent version crashes ALL THE TIME! Video payback is impossible unless you're on the home wifi. Think you can download one, NOPE! Can't do that either. When, IF you get a video to actually play it's choppy and impossible to understand anyone speaking on the recording. If you're thinking about this system, keep shopping. I was told Swann was one of the best... their app sure does not reflect that referral.

Its ok. Part of the features don't work as stated. The led red and blue alerts don't work, option isn't even on the app, the microphone doesnt work either, both were supposed to be part of the system when purchased. The app has consistent latency issues. Text support is over seas and useless, they're reading from a script and can't assist. The only good thing about the system is the easy installation. Not worth the 900. I paid in m opinion.

I don't know what they did (or didn't do), but for @ the last 4 or 5 months, the app takes forever to load live views, to the point where it just stops/shuts down after the spinning icon spins for a while, showing nothing. It used to be pretty good; now it's constantly buffering, and if you are able to click on a recorded clip to view, it takes about 10seconds for every 1 second of video to watch. Virtually useless at this point, and this is at home on wifi. Away from home is even worse.
