Never worked at all. I download it because I was told that I needed this to unlock my device. But this never worked. I tried to check evaluability and it bumped me once and the second time it came up with the box of wait, close or what ever the last one is. So I closed it and tried one last time and it bumped me back to where I opened it from. PofS app.

Came preinstalled on a replacement Pixel 3XL from Google Fi. I was ok with paying more on a monthly basis if it meant having the cleanest possible Android experience, and Google Fi sneaks this bloatware into my replacement unit without any explanation. Shame on them.

This app installed automatically on unlocked pixel 4. Like others have said not having bloatware is a big reason for buying a pixel 4 in the first place. Cannot delete or uninstall even though the app says itself to uninstall it after use. Completely stupid and a waste of everyone's time. I'm seriously thinking about abandoning pixel and TMobile over this nonsense.

Absolutely ridiculous. Couldn't figure out why my phone wouldn't unlock and was on customer support for 5 hours, troubleshooting my phone and then come to find out I need to use this app in order to unlock the phone and the app still didn't work. Absolutely ridiculous

Has anyone gotten this to work? I wish there was a reply feature so we could help each other out. This is an absolute nightmare. I cant get in contact with any of my contacts. Apparently I'm gonna have to go to a store even tho I did it online to avoid that. Gotta love how there's absolutely no one responding to anyone's complaints either. What a great company

I ordered an unlocked pixel 3 from Google Fi. Recently, it developed screen issues and got a replacement phone, but it came with the T-mobile and this app. When you open this app, it indicates the phone is locked to T-mobile and the app will run and say the phone is now unlocked, but if you open the app again, it will say the phone is still locked, so I have no clue if the phone is actually unlocked or if due to a technicality because Google Fi runs on T-mobile that I can actually use it.

This app doesn't work and T-Mobile is full of carb. You should go to verizion and you will get an unlcoked phone from day one without begging. I spent so much time with T-mobile trying to unlcok the phone wihout any suceess. I even asked to extend the value of phone as credit wich I have great credit that I can buy anything I want with no other qestions asked. SO STAY A WAY FROM T-MOBILE IF YOU HYAVE ANY INTEGRITY.

It worked to temp. unlock my Pixel 6. You need to call support first and they can request it. It took 48 hours. After that time the buttons turned from gray to pink and after a restart the device was temp. unlocked. There should be a description at startup how the process works.

Why does my UNLOCKED Google Pixel 3a include this bloatware (along with the T-Mobile app)? Highly unacceptable when you're getting a brand new phone from Google! This is my second 3a. I had to return the other one because of a defect. It didn't have these apps pre-installed, so why does my second one?

Have Pixel 3XL from Sprint. Seems to have worked as advertised - I installed the app, ran Permanent Unlock check, it approved and did it's thing, I got a system notification saying "carrier lock removed", then it prompted me to reboot and uninstall the app - done and done. 4 stars for now because I haven't tested it with a 3rd party sim just yet to verify 100% it worked - but seemingly it did. Seems a bit clunky to have to install a separate app for this since Samsung, OnePlus, and others have the feature baked into their Settings app.

I didn't get an error code it did what it was supposed at least thats what it said. App doesn't work, my phone is still locked, as if it wasn't bad enough that im paying almost $100 every month for service I'm not getting. Im a driven away customer and I'm switching to xfinity.

i kept reopening Device Unlock for at least 3 weeks and i noticed that the errors change depending on the time of day??? - from randomized error codes to server errors like “Unable to connect to server” and “Uh-oh, you've ran into server issues” - after talking to T-Mobile's customer care, they managed to make both unlock options available for me, but after unlocking, the app now crashes on “Check eligibility” - nobody should be going through this bug-ridden app just for a SIM unlock. 😐

If I could rate lower I would. Apparently this is the only thing you can use to unlock your pixel from T-Mobile and it NEVER WORKS. Immediately, it tells you there's server issues and you can't get pass the first page. Unbelievably poor app from a major brand.

News. App works after all. It's just that it has to be active and using an active T-Mobile sim card \account. Otherwise/this is why you get the server fail error. Presumably,it looks for IMEI and phone number/account status for the app to actually function properly. That seems to be the key that no instruction guide nor their dog care to mention. Super nonsense. . Hope this finally helps others,,,,,

This app will not work if your phone isn't still connected to the t Mobile Network. If you pull your phone off their network, then try to unlock it, it will not work. I'm also pretty sure you can't be connected to Wi-Fi while trying it. Why is this not stated in the app? T Mobile is absolutely worthless. Horrible customer support.

Very crude app. Does what it says on the tin but only when it feels like it and it doesn't feel like it very often. I bought my Pixel 9 Pro XL outright with money and I have to wait 40 days to remove the sim lock with this wonky app and it's giving me errors all the time. I'm a happy T-Mobile customer but this is definitely a fly in the ointment.

Having the exact issue w/ the inability of T-MOBILE find a successful solution to unlock a eligible device as the first customer review stated regarding the error message "Unable to comnect to the server" ,& its 3 yrs later! I.ve allocated both time and expenses (bought a prepaid sim kit as it was the possibility an inactive account would be the logical issue considering the server connection error but no dice and its 2022! They obviously aren't to concerned about their customers!

This shouldn't be such a headache to deal with, show some competency, T-Mobile. The app doesn't appear to be working on Android 10 on my Pixel 3a XL. It simply tells me that there are server errors (which is terrible practice from a development standpoint because it clearly isn't the server). I also can't downgrade to 9 because my phone is carrier locked. I contacted support and after a month of going back and forth with them, they told me to use the app to unlock but it doesn't even work.

Terrible app. It tells you to start that you have to turn off your Wi-Fi and cellular service to proceed Only..... it can't proceed from there because your Wi-Fi and cellular service is off. No joke. That was actually the error message I received. It started right off with a catch 22. So pretty much useless and I will be uninstalling it now. 10 of 10. Do not recommend T-Mobile anything. This app was the final piece of a long ordeal.

Junk app, it does not work at all. It always gives an error code 995 (no network connection) though I connected via LTE network and I was able to browse all possible websites. Waste of time for customer and customer service. This app is going to drive the customer away from T-Mobile (btw, I have been th customer with T-Mobile for 10+ years).
