3/7/24 UPDATE: Reducing my rating from 3 stars to 1. I'm not sure who designed the front end for this app, but it's a mess. Hard to tell what youve selected, what you still need to select, etc. I'm a developer myself and could build a better front end in a couple hours... Do better. 4/11/22 App is okay, system seems to he down a lot causing issues with order pick up. My only other real complaint is that I can never fully customize my order because jalapeños aren't listed as an item to add.

I can't redeem reward offers through the app. Every time I get to payment and select Add reward, I get a pop-up that says "Your selected reward js not valid for this order." I fail to understand what the issue is when I'm ordering the exact items that are included in the reward. As a result, I'm unable to order through the app and have to go to the drive-thru to place my order and have them scan the coupon code so I get the offer. This has been the case for every offer. The app is useless.

love the app but not a fan of the update making it so you have to be at the store in order to register your purchase. most times we go through drive thru and input the barcode at home. after the update we can't do that anymore, I'm not going to hold up the drive thru line trying to input my barcode and definitely not doing it while driving.

Order was duplicated and I was charged for both. Nobody can fix it. The app said call the store. The store said call customer support, which seems to not exist. Closest thing I found turned out to be an automated "feedback" system. Left a message, and it said somebody would call me back. 5 days later, nothing. I'm deleting the app and disputing the charge with my credit card company. At least they have some form of customer service.

Extremely slow &/or glitchy. I was through the drive thru with my food before it could even load correctly. Once at home it would load the app, but then trying to go to the different sections it kept saying no internet connection (when everything else on my phone worked). I ended up force stopping the app, clearing the cache, then it worked. And it was my first time using the app - downloaded it 15 minutes before arriving to their location.

Used app to order, and then received an email confirming my order. Arrived at store to pick up my order only to find that they never received my order. Turns out, you have to click "check in" on the app or the store doesn't get your order. Absolutely not the employees fault or the store at all. This is a stupid, annoying, unnecessary step on the app.

I love my local Taco John's, and the food is always great. However, the app isn't great for ordering when you can't or don't want to go into the store. It doesn't allow for using coupons that I received in the mail nor does it offer the ability to use any advertised promotions (outside of recurring daily specials), such as 2 for $5. Updated in 2022: Reduced to 1 star. The new rewards are awful. They expire quickly and can't be redeemed toward more than one item at a time or through app order.

Given how many fastfood apps use a similar interface and features set, I find it astounding that TacoJohns was still able to cobble together such a non-functional mess for their mobile ordering. Order customization that doesn't allow you to add things to the cart, rewards and offers that can't be redeemed in the app, reward points that expire extremely quickly, and a restaurant locator that often selects places several hundred miles away. An app that has everything... all wrong.

The app just doesn't work for me. Every time I try to scan a receipt, it says it can't and prompts to retry. And when you retry, it fails before it can even scan anything. I've had to enter things manually which makes for a very inconvenient way to reward loyal customers. It's honestly not worth the headache. Yes, the reward of earning free food is cool. But I'd honestly pay for a meal than deal with this awful app.

Leaving a 1 star review for now, will update as app updates. The only downfall to the app that I've experienced so far is that none of our customizations were relayed from my order to the restaurant. It also doesn't show the specific customization requests made on your order confirmation, either. Just shows up as "customized x1" on my email confirmation, and shows none on the screen at the restaurant. Need to fix bugs here as it is unfair to the employees to receive the wrong order.

App is full of add for "new" menu items, you have to scroll through all the adds to do anything. Order system is backwards, you click order and it brings you to previous orders and you have to scroll to the bottom to place a new one. Placing an order works 1/25 times, store could be open for another 4 hours but I can't place my order "prior to close." I've also noticed ordering at the store is cheaper, charging a hidden convenience fee? Terrible app to match your company's terrible service.

Most menu items aren't available on the app. Got to the restaurant to pick up order and what came through on their end was not what we ordered at all. It changes what not available on its own with no notice. So now you've paid and refunds aren't available and you can't get what you've ordered. Menu not user friendly. Too easy to back out of the whole app forcing you to restart. Don't waste your time!

Not really user friendly. You have to check in on the App for your order to show up at the store. They cannot find your order by the order number. It's hard to find the check in button. And if they are out of something there is no way to cancell your order once you are checked in, or even if you leave the initial paid screen. Scanning a receipt or having them scan at the register is easy, but the other ahead is frustrating!

This was a good app. The main issue I have with, and is the reason why I use it, is that the rewards are not redeemable. I have enough punches to receive the free small combo. Yet it says my punches are under review. This has been happening for 2 months now. I have emailed several times with no response or results. I like the restaurant and the food. The app has this glaring flaw negating the main reason someone would use it. Also your phone saves a picture of the receipt wasting space

Most of the features don't work. The dedicated order button has never worked since I downloaded the app. However, there is an option to place an order from the nearest store button. When you get to the payment field, it doesnt work either. The "scan credit card" option also fails. The barcode scanner to scan your receipt only works about half the time. This is easily the most useless app I've ever downloaded.

Easy enough to order, but the whole point of ordering ahead is so the food is ready when you get there. Not getting there and being told that to "check in" sends the order to the kitchen. So, check in as soon as you order! Any customizations you do to an item won't show to the restaurant, I removed the spicy sauce and he said it didn't say that, so they had to remake it.

The app functions great and is designed well. Unfortunately it doesn't let me redeem any rewards. Have tried reinstalling. No changes. So, I keep earning rewards I cannot use. Oh, and the rewards expire too. That's fun to watch. Also, the app wants me to re-login at the most inconvenient times, and I can't recall my password, and have to drive back home and find it. Taco Bell app does not rely on passwords for login. Just throwing that out there.

so many bugs, hard to use, no help available after ordering! Store was out of items, but still charged the full price!! Need help? contact DoorDash. DoorDash days contact Taco Johns. They make it impossible to get help. No way to reorder items without it converting from delivery to pick-up, but it doesn't warm you before placing the order! Charges $4.99 delivery fee, requires $15 purchase, and the whole point of using the app is to get the special deals, so it's a wash. Bad UI/UX, great food

Worst app ever. This is the third time I have tried to redeem an offer. If you add an offer and the app times out, the offer is considered to have been used so you can no longer use it. So this final time I waited until I arrived to start my order and it still will not allow me to redeem the offer. After wasting yet another trip to the restaurant I will not only go somewhere else again but will delete and be done with this useless app that basically does bait and switch. Sadly, no dev response.

The user experience honestly isn't bad. I like the ability to customize and it's relatively easy to navigate. also the online deals are cool. I also like the ability to say I'm here. Actual experience at the restaurant needs work. Pulled into drive thru and they didn't have my order by my name. it was under "Joe Smith" no idea who that is. then I was told pull up to the window. they then directed me to park and wait. why? sat for 15 mins and the food came out. they weren't busy? why so long?
