Very good and useful. I would pay to support this app but refuse to pay subscription fees because software is not a service and I will not RENT it from a developer who may discontinue working on the app while still collecting subscriptions. Fortunately, the ads are small and unobtrusive and do not interfere with the conversation or translations. I am in Tijuana, Mexico and it is working very well. Again, I WOULD PAY FOR THIS, but refuse to subscribe to software.

Using this app has quite literally opened the world to me! It was an invaluable tool during my very recent two-week visit to Spain, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to a foreign language country. When I used it with people who didn't speak English, their faces lit up into smiles of friendly welcome. It's accurate, easy to use, and is inspiring me to learn become conversant, if not fluent in Spanish. THANK you for developing it!

hey everybody: this is the one. best translator I've found for Spanish. does voice conversations pretty well, once you get the kinks ironed out as to how the buttons work (devs: could use more explanation in the app and sometimes it cuts off listening before the speaker is finished). even helps you learn the language with an instructional function. really an excellent app that beats the big names hands down. thank you devs!!! great work, keep improving it and you'll be the number one soon

Used to work great and it was my go-to app until recently when the mic stopped working and the voice translation is useless. I thought it was my phone or the app froze so I reinstalled it again and the problem persists. So I decided to download a few other translator apps to see the problem was my phone microphone but no, other apps work and I'm able to use many other features on the phone that require mic. I'm very disappointed because I really used to love this app...

Used this app for a week now at school. It's worked great so far. I read a story to students who and a couple of them were Spanish speaking only. So, as I read a page, I would let it translate in Spanish so as not to exclude anyone. My only problem is that I needed 1 more hand so I could hold the book, turn the pages, and hold the phone for me to talk into. Can't have it all lol.

I've been using it for a few months, and it has a couple of flaws.. the delete button is not in a good place if you are having to start near that spot. Has deleted my work a few time's, forcing me to start all over. Plus, the font is too small if you need to translata lotot. The more you type, the smaller your text in the language your sending becomes. It is user-friendly. If you pay then there are no disruptive ads.

This app works great. When you're speaking into it, remember to have the volume up so the other person doesn't have to read it. It will speak in the other language in a female voice. Love it! It's very helpful for me as I deal with a lot of Hispanic people that don't speak English. The side I'm speaking in is facing me and the language I want it translated to is facing the other person. Then they just tap the button and can speak into their side when they want to reply. It's perfect!

Audio/verbal translation feature doesn't work. I attempted to translate what was being said, in a tv show. The microphone icone kept flashing and chiming, but app didn't translate to English. It didn't even attempt to mistranslate and type incorrect words. I even turned up the volume. To the IT dept... Don't respond with the generic "[It's not our app's fault.] Try clearing your cache and restarting your phone." Been there. Done that. Deleted. Rated. Moved on.

So far this has worked flawlessly. Impressive! Haven't used it extensively but each time has resulted in perfect results. No complaints! I'm pleased finding something simple and useful and eager to try with more languages soon. Seriously blown away with speed accuracy. Appreciating ads only displaying on bottom instead of disruptive full screen displays blasting audio like many others. Thanks!

Good, could be improved. It would be nice if there was a way to use two separate ears pieces so both parties could talk as this translator spine into their ear what the other is saying. Maybe both parties would need the app on their own phones and this app syncs them together or something like that. It would make it easier to have more intimate conversations.

The interface is awkward - turning the phone upside down for the other speaker. There is no easy way to exit the app once started - the back arrow doesn't function with this. There is an absolutely huge amount of click bait. Clicking on "open" takes you to a different app or advertisement. As for accuracy, it varies like most translators.

If I could put more stars, I would! Of course, the translator makes occasional mistakes, but overall it's a big lifesaver that allowed us communicate freely in Chile by talking to the app in Russian. The app translates your speech into Spanish and reads the text aloud. Then you can turn the phone around and give it to your counterpart who speaks Spanish, and the app translates back to Russian. It even recognized many common Russian idiomatic expressions and interprets them correctly.

This app has been great up until recently, it no longer allows voice translation. It is not my microfone because my microfone works for all other apps, videos, and calls. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still does not pick up audio. Its sad because i have depended on this app to communicate with people from other nations. Fix the bug and i will give a better rating.

It sometimes takes pauses as you have stopped speaking, and there occasional speech recognition errors. However, you'll know when it happens because it write what it thinks you said in text. I've checked with a Spanish speaking friend and they said it was pretty good, just to watch my pronouns. Wish it had multiple Spanish dialects but overall a great app. The interface especially for talking back and forth

I am very content with the accuracy of this app to translate voice, long sentences that is not word by word translation but rather contextual. It provides text in the native language as well as the selected translated language. That text can then be, without speaking again, translated in any language. Excellent app, free as it is, would not mind buying it but they only offer subscription that I hate.

My favorite app for translating! It makes communication with the non-english speaking students in my classroom seamless! It helps them understand exactly what I've said. In return, they can speak (or type) right into my phone and I instantly know what they are saying. It is free to use and I don't have to wait for pop-ups or ads to play for things to be translated. Works perfectly anywhere you need to communicate with others.

There's no way to turn off the app in my notifications bar. ITS THERE 100% OF THE TIME. I already turned it off in the settings and now it's back saying"Brought to you by...blah blah .." I don't like not being able to control what is shown in the bar. Not cool and downright shiesty. Will likely download another translator if I can't get that off my note-bar Super annoying. Would be 5*. Loses a star due to trickery. Other than that, it works great and has cool features.

The app is really great, I got a new student who speaks a different language and now I can efficiently speak to them, thanks to this app. The only problems are 1) there are not many languages available when you try to use the conversate button, could be very useful. 2) it doesn't work offline, it would be good if you go travel somewhere without proper internet and still be able to talk to the people. Download it if you want to. Very nice

This works very well for communication with students. It's much better than typing things out to translate because many students don't have the literacy skills to communicate effectively that way so we still end up confused or it takes everyone to long to type out messages. This app will be on every device I own! It has great features and it's free!

This app's design is exceptionally well thought out. When used in landscape mode, it offers a convenient 'tap to talk' feature, allowing for seamless communication without needing to flip the phone or pass it back and forth. Simply tap your message, and it translates and speaks in Spanish; then, the other person can respond using their own 'tap to talk' option, which translates their spoken Spanish into written and spoken English. (For example) Kudos to the developers for a job well done!
