Straightforward, easy to use, very customizable without being visually confusing or having any noticeable learning curve or a bunch of features I don't need. I am especially pleased with the various options for setting reminders. I've relied heavily on carefully curated to do lists since high school to keep on top of things, and I've tried a lot of apps since my first smart phone - this is definitely my favorite.

Updating to five stars: My bad. I had inadvertently disabled the very feature I was asking about. I can add 'excellent developer response' to the review. I'm finally done searching for a good Google-syncing Tasks app. Definitely the best I've tried. Looking forward to the addition of multi-select rescheduling. ---- Original Review----: Just started using the app and so far I love it. I particularly love all the customization options. Seems to do just about everything I need it to. One thing I would love to see but couldn't find any option for: When viewing a list of tasks, would like to see a strong visual indication (color change, separator, etc) of where Today's tasks end and Tomorrow's tasks begin. I know it's indicated on the right, but I'd like to see something more visually obvious at a glance.

This is seriously THE best task app there is. Highly customizable but only in the ways that matter. You can make it as detailed as you want, or you can remove things to make it as simple as you want, being simply a to do list how you'd write it on paper. It looks better than all the other task apps out there because you can make the font size bigger or smaller and change the amount of space between the tasks. It's also free with no ads. Support the developer if you can, they deserve it!

I really like the app and would give it 5 stars, but it keeps spamming location reminders. I'll get one for a location I just entered, then after 5 seconds get another, then 30s later a other, and another, and another. Then it stopps for a few minutes and repeats the process randomly over time. I only have it remind me when I enter an area, so I'm assuming it's because GPS location isn't super accurate, but I've increased the radius so much for the area, it's encompassing almost half a mile.

This is ideal. So much functionality and features and control, and it is the only task management app that syncs seamlessly with tasks on Google calendar. Way better than Tick Tick and about 3 others I tried. And I'm still using the free version, with no ads! Can't believe this app didn't show up at the top of the search list. Maybe the developer doesn't pay Google extra for listing.

It may not have all the glamour of some Task apps out there, but this one is by far the most intuitive and works far better than any other I'VE tried. I'm VERY particular about how I want my widgets and my app's layout, etc. I'm pretty OCD and I like to use things the way I want to rather than get a million annoying prompts trying to teach/tell me how to use it. This gives me that control. It's not confusing to set up and it doesn't feel nearly as rigid as apps like Color Note or Google Keep do.

Does everything I want without any extra cruft. Good reminders, unlimited subtask nesting. I've even started using it for jotting down simple notes. The only thing I wish were clearer is how to set up filters (e.g., it's a little hard to set up a filter that pulls items from multiple lists that all have certain properties), but I grant that that's a pretty specific power user feature.

This is the best task reminder app and widget I have ever used. You can customize the view and widget from simplistic to complex. I love the persistent reminder so I don't accidentally close the reminder! The only minor issue that I have is that the notification timer can be few mins off. Mine tends to be few mins later than the actual scheduled time.

With its simple interface and useful features, it's the best to do list manager I've used on Android. Been using it since 2014 when it was called Astrid. Edit August 2022: Still my go to todo list app for 8 years running. To show my appreciation I donate $20 per year. I just wished that they made it easier to set the day and time of a new event. I shouldn't have to pick a day then separately pick the time. Allow me to do this in one screen.

iPhone switcher here. This is THE tasks/reminders app to get for two big reasons: (1) Allows iCloud sync with the iOS Reminders app via CalDAV sync. I had never heard of this, but the developer has great instructions on the help site. My wife still uses an iPhone, so this is the PERFECT solution to keeping a synchronized list of family reminders. (2) The reminder notifications can be set to stay in the notification tray, even if you try to clear all. This closely mirrors the iOS Reminders behavior, which stay present on the lock screen until you acknowledge them in some way. Outside of those two aspects, the app is also very clean, has a good widget, and includes a nice array of customization options. After testing a bunch of other task apps, I'm really pleased with this one! Thanks! :-)

While the interface may not be as beautiful as the competition, the app more than compensates for its aesthetic deficiency with its robust feature set. Being open source, you can trust it with your data. The free version still offers all of features alongside backup options, whereas similar apps would make you feel severely restricted. If you pay, even if a bit, you'll be able to enjoy Tasker functions and extra syncing functionality to modify tasks from the web. Nothing but love for dev Alex.

Really awesome tool from an indie developer. This would be perfect for the average person trying to organize and prioritize at work/home. I wanted to love it, but I needed stronger business project management tools. It has most of the features I needed, and it is actually less buggy and half the price of the app I ended up using instead. It lacks PC/browser apps, tho. Try it for a week. Take the time to learn its features rather than just listing and completing tasks. It's probably sufficient.

*** updated to 5* after developer reached out It works well and helps me keep my calendar app for appointments rather than reminders. I have one gripe and it's quite annoying. When you set a reoccurring task, if you leave the notification up to remind you and you don't get to it for a bit.. once you clear the notification, the app continuously bombards you with notifications until you've manually cleared them all. I'd rather see it complete all "skipped" tasks once I complete the one shown.

Tasks is one of the best to-do apps! It's easy to add tasks and reminders, and it allows you to sync with Google Tasks so you can access and edit tasks on Google's website as well. The interface is clean and offers useful ways to tag tasks and customize the UI. The options for reminders help me stay on top of things and includes support for location-based notifications. The dev is very responsive and actively supports new features. I've been using this app for years and love it!

[Edit: Thank you for the clarification, and VERY quick response. Changed from 3 to 5 stars, and now (personally) the perfect to do list app.] Original: I like the app itself. However, there is a sound notification when tasks/subtasks are checked, including from your widget, that is tied to your ring tone. This cannot be changed in any of the settings. This noise should be connected to media volume instead, or at least have a volume slider/mute options for both app and widget.

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to write one for this app. I've tried many/most of the task organizers out there, several for extended periods of time. I am impressed at how excellent this app is and I don't see myself switching again anytime soon. It has a lovely UI, lots of functionality (much of which can be customized) and can be configured to suit a person's particular organization preferences. It's like the Goldilocks of task organizers: not too much, not too little, just right!

This is the one. There are other very good task managers and some pretty awful ones. This one shines above all the rest. The more I use it the more I appreciate it. It is laid out very logically with everything you need to stay organized all available on screens that are easy to use. I have found it to be clean, bug free, and extraordinarily useful.

Hi Team, I'm experiencing a bug on the Tasks app for repetitive tasks. After I click on the "Complete" option on the pop up at the top of notifications, it goes off and comes back. After I view the new pop up of the same task it shows for the next day. Modifying to 1 Star to get the issue fixed. Could you please fix the issue. Else it's the most useful App to have an organized life. Easy and Simple to use. Thank you to the entire team

Full featured task ask. Just what I was looking for to provide the extra features missing from Google's Keep. I haven't had a todo list this good since Astrid, which makes sense since this is the successor to it. Recurring tasks, sorted by when to start or finish a task, sub tasks, locations. All the features you could want and probably more, so you can even turn off the features you don't want to deal with.

Initially had trouble figuring out how to connect to google tasks, needed to login to that option on the Not Logged In item in settings. So far it looks great. No separation of lists like TasksBoard (what I was looking for, but not on Android), but it syncs up great and gives me more mobility. A request would be to allow me to choose the order in which the tagged items/groups appear, to get some of that kanban-like attention on my most important stuff on the first screen. Nice job though!
